Simple enough. Which characters do you find are better at fighting against Dragons? Which ones have a tougher time?

Personally, I find it easier using a melee class vs. an archer. Why? Because of stunning the dragon before it uses it's breath. I've had a barbarian style character (Two Handed, Light Armour) that could kill a dragon after it lands the first time. And yes, I have sneaked attacked a dragon with the Assassin's Blade perk and Dark Brotherhood Gloves...

Your character can be a tavern clothed fist-fighter, all he/she'll ever need is the "Become Ethereal" shout.

It's a big hammer.
For me... Dragonrend and then hack and slash. If I don't have Dragonrend, then I take pot shots with whatever Shout I have available hoping to goad the dragon into landing.

I find there's more strategy involved going toe-to-toe with a giant than a dragon.

I try to find a position from which I can execute a stealth shot, and then I fire poison arrows at them.

I just power bash the dragon infinitely with my shield so it's constantly stunned. That way it's just a sitting duck for my Dremoras to take down.

Respite perk helps, of course.

I've done that... well, I didn't have the dremoras to back me up. But dragons are quite susceptible to being bashed, and great it's great practice, incidentally, if you want to get better using that shield. :)

Haha, it was basically my lazy build. I got to sit back and relax while my Dremoras did all the dirty work. I was shocked at how effortless it made dragons.

I must confess, I haven't yet had enough patience for magic to advance far enough for the dremoras. Though watching hubby play (he almost always plays some sort of mage), I'm deeply jealous and want a couple of my own. Their taunts are truly charming!

I've done the Archer build a few times, but always had the problem of either not having poisons, or being unable to hit the Dragons as they fly around...

Yeah, I do the Hilt Bash (Two Handed), followed by a couple of swings with my Greatsword. Rinse, and repeat.

I stand better against dragons with my rogue characters.

I like making dragon encounters epic. I make sure I lure one into a town if it is within the vicinity. If not, I use the archery game of shoot and duck; using the terrain as an advantage against it's elemental breath. If the dragon is low on health, it is time to rush in with Dragonbane.

I like to dual wield thunderstorm that way i can dual cast before the dragon can use its breathe. They rarely get a chance to land i shoot them out of the air. Magic seems to be the best thing ive used on dragons.

Interesting. Who else uses magic?

It depends on character I guess.
Mostly I play Archers so Bow is my obvious choice for them.
But lately I played a few Spellswords and now I began a Battlemage so I'll use One-Handed and Destruction for them.

Depends on my character. One of my characters at the moment is a pacifist, so basically i have to run away and lead the dragon to populated areas, usually full of bunnies, but you need alot of bunnies to get stuck in a dragons throat and choke him, , but it can be done, although patience is needed, :p;)
