I'm an unfortunate soul who plays on xbox. So my only path to 81 is the grind. Has anyone come up with some good methods for leveling skills that you Havnt really used for your character so far? It would be good to have a powerleveling thread for those of us who actually want to see the Ebony Warrior.

For leveling light or heavy Armor. I'll try not to make this as uncomplicated as possible. Enchanted a ring, necklace and heavy Armor chest piece with health regeneration. Fill your other slots with light armor. Improve all the armor as best you can. Find a weaker npc in an isolated location. In my case is just went home and pulled an Ike Turner on my wife. Once I got her attacking me. I check to see if her damage is out weighing the health regeneration. If it is, I adjust the game difficulty rating accordingly. Once I am regenerating health faster than I am getting damaged. I back into a corner and use something like a rubber band to hold back on the controller so I keep backing into a corner. (this will keep the xbox from going into sleep mode. ) Now walk away and go do what ever you want. Come back later for 100 heavy and light armor. It might take some perks, Smithing or enchanting skill to get to the point where the health regeneration negates the damage, but if you can its works pretty well.

Now any suggestions for other skills. I need to raise 1 handed and 2 handed but I can't find shadowmere anyone have a technique for these skills?

Or any xbox users looking for techniques for other skills? I know methods for most everything else.

Do you have enough money to seek out trainers? That could be a good option since you're not particularly interested in the skills you're trying to level (character wise).

Thanks for the reminder. I've always been an alchemist so I have about 600,000 gold kicking around so I will have to make it a point to hit the trainer for 1 handed or 5 points of something each level.

Is that fur coming out of your ears?
The speech glitch I always hear about with that vendor in a bar can raise it to 100 fairly quickly if that helps, someone here would recall the specifics.

I know a few xbox glitches that can help you.
If you want exploits that is.
Youtube Search "100 Speech Skyrim"
And "oghma infinium"

Get equipment that reduces Conjuration costs and Resists Frost.
Spam Frost Atronachs and whack them to death with your choice of weapons for xp points.

I power-leveled light armor and block for my main character, by making fortify restoration gear, pissing off two giants, and being their punching back. Just heal as necessary and you'll gain levels in no time.

The Speech exploit is great, all you do is ask him to explain how it is working with Maven Black Briar, level 35 speech is where he'll be persuaded with no trouble at all, prior to that and he'll be tricky for some characters and you'll have to bribe him and using Shadowmere as your punching bag is great as well.
There's that chest exploit if he must use it to level up his smithing.

They have the one hit kill move too, don't forget that. He'll have to avoid that unless he has an insanely high health count.

Been playing skyrim forever and had never heard of the infinium glitch. Which is fine because until now I was only interested in playing for roleplay content ect.... Now that I at the point where I have played the snot out of the game I want to get someone to cap level. This sounds perfect. Only downside is I vaguely remember the quest described to get it. I'm just not sure if I already did it on this character. In which case I'm sure the books is read and gone. I'll have to check tonight. Thanks for the info.

Takes time, but you can level Illusion to 100 by casting courage on a horse you own. Or a follower.

You can get Conjuration to 100 by casting soul trap on an enemy you just killed.

And Alteration is easy to get to 100 by just casting it near enemies.

Healing by using Equilibrium and healing yourself.

There's a way to get sneak to 100, and that is attacking the Greybeards while in sneak mode. This might also help level one handed and two handed. But I've not used this as they've been easy for me to level.

For Restoration: go to High Hrothgar and start up towards the peak. The ice storm will cause you harm but, you can use a Heal spell to restore health. Depending on your Magic regeneration rate, you may be able to just stand there and watch your Restoration skills grow.

Thanks for the tips. Hit 81 and got my long awaited match up with the fearsome ebony Warrior. Under the cover of darkness I slid from shadow to shadow as I crept up the hillside where he kept his last vigil. As I crested the hill i saw the shape of his silhouette in the light of the harvest moon. Anticipation welled up inside me as my taste for killing returned. I could smell mortal stench on the night breeze. I made my way up to the steep slope overlooking his silent vigil. Silently I pulled my Dragon Bone bow from my shoulder and placed it on lovingly on the cold hard earth before me. For a moment I thought he sensed my presence and I froze. I had imagined it. Stone still he stood staring down the hillside awaiting a death that had already come for him. Reaching into my satchel I produced a small brownish vial of liquid. Pulling the stopper produced the faint scent of the Forrest and the air on cold mornings. Not my favorite, but it's effect would due. It would only help me get the meal in truly desired. I could almost hear the blood pumping through his weak mortal heart. I felt the liquid slide deliberately down my throat as my vision sharpened and my sense of the winds direction became more keen. Slowly I lifted my bow and placed my fated strike upon the string. I had thought to poison the arrow, but sadly mortal blood has a disappointingly dull flavor when tainted with deaths drink. This was a special meal, one to be savored. The time had come and I am not one to delay the bell when it tolls. The first sound he heard was a slight hiss in his right ear. I think his realization of what was coming was accompanied by the sickening thud of my arrow as it found his throat. His battle cry became a guttural combination of shout and gurgling as he struggled the push air through the inward river of his own blood. His Ebony blade began its journey from its scabbard, hungry for glory. Begging for retribution. Before it could have its wish, my second arrow found its home in the slit of his visor. Burying itself deeply in his skull and ending all hope of victory. All hope of seeing another sunrise. And sweet release to his home in Sovrengarge. His blade fell back into his scabbard as his lifeless form crumpled onto the hillside. With his spirit gone, his flesh belonged to me. And under the harvest moon, I had my harvest feast.

Why Power-Leveling is so important ?
What about you actually play your game with soul ? Role-Playing ?

I'm wondering the fastest way to level up magic skills if your character has never used them before. My guy is level 60 and my magic skills are all at 15-25

Depends on the magic skill.
Destruction = if you have shadowmere, put the game on master and spam him with destruction.

Alteration=I found telekinesis raises skill really quickly.

Resto= get the alteration spell equilibrium in on hand and restore in the other. Case equilibrium until you almost out of health then heal up.

Illusion=not sure

Conjuration =kill something and cast soul reap on the corpse repeatedly

On leveling magic fast, what Rafter75 said. I would also add, if you have maxed out enchanting, you can reduce spell cost for any school to 0, and spam the spells as much as you please. Helps a lot.
