Nagisus walked alongside Adonis, dressing his wounds with some leaves as he walked. "So, where do you think our first stop is? I suggest we drop by the tailor's, try and get some high-status clothes, then do some good things around Solitude and hopefully get an audience with the Jarl. Then we'll be in the Imperial center of the Imperial center of Skyrim. Then we can try and deal with those no-good goldheads working in the army."

Arthonnen trudged in the direction of Riften, closely followed by Sceolang. "Honestly," he thought "Why would anyone want not trust me. Fair enough I don't trust anyone, and I lay in bed with my hunting under my pillow." As he was walking he recognised places that he been past before, and several places where bounty hunters, hired thugs, assassins and thieves had tried to stop him. He took great pleasure in recounting memories of killing them all.

"Well, I had some training to say the least." And to say all I'm allowed to without being a traitor. Nagisus saw that Adonis had pulled out a map, and commented, "You can throw that thing aside. As long as we follow the rivers, we'll get there in no time. I know every waterway on Tamriel, apart from the west. This river here," he said to the man, pointing at the river by their side, "will take us straight to Solitude. No pit stops at Morthal or anything, just straight in the direction of the Solitude docks. In my honest opinion, anyone who needs a map to navigate isn't a real adventurer. Lucky for you I have the memory of...well, I can't think of anything with a good memory, but still. Once I got to know the rivers, I didn't need a map ever again. Saves me a lot of coin on maps."

Marcus finally arrived in Windhelm and immediately went to the candlehearth hall. As he walked in and took a seat by the bar he asked the obviously unenthusiastic inn-keeper for a room and paid for a second room saying that a nord called Robiin will arrive shortly.

Instead of heading straight to Windhelm with Marcus, Robiin had some things to take care of first. Traveling to Morthal to pick up some supplies and they rest of her things that she had left there. After that she preceded to Windhelm to meet Marcus.

Shortly after getting to the city she walked over to the inn looking for Marcus, finding him she walked over "So did you get us a room?" she asked sitting down.

"Yes I did. Your room is at the end of the hall. Now I do believe we should discuss the plans for rooting out the corruption here. Do you have any ideas on where, even how to start?" Marcus asked and explained, curious to see how cunning Robiin could be.

Arthonnen stepped into Riften and beckoned to the nearest guard. "Guard," he said "You know who I am?"
"Yes Sir. Of course Sir." the Guard replied nervously.
"Tell Maven to meet me at the Bee & Barb in half an hour." At that the guard scurried off to find Maven. Arthonnen then proceeded to walk to the Bee & Barb. As he stepped across the threshold he was greeted by a fist in his face. "By the Gods." Arthonnen cried as he stumbled. As he got a look at his assailant, he said "What was that for?"
"Oh perhaps for taking me on an expedition and then leaving me for dead." the figure replied. The Nord stood tall and proud, missing his left arm and his right leg beyond the kneecap. "You were a sell sword, Tobias. What did you expect. You weren't meant to come home." at that he thrust his palm into the Nord's nose and walked upstairs.

Robiin looked at Marcus she was stumped, she had no idea where to start but she didn't want him to thin she was no good "Umm.. we could....figure it out tomorrow. Goodnight." she said rushing out of her seat toward her room hoping she could come up with something.

After Robiin ran into her room it took Marcus a few seconds to react. Soon after the inns serving girl Sussana the Wicked(That is the name right?) came up to him and said "It looks like she was embarrassed. Your girl sure wants to impress you. Want any mead to celebrate?" Marcus put on a face (-__- <------) and replied matter of factly "No no no no no. We were never together and she's not "my girl". Shes just a friend. That's a good ploy to get better tips though. I could use some fine wine however?"
"Well it sure looked like it. Here you go, alto wine, on the house."
"You're still not getting a better tip." He said unimpressed with her attempts to flatter him, while giving her a normal tip. He then proceeded to go to his room and sleep until the morning.

In the morning Marcus awoke fairly early. After he got out of bed he began to write a letter to Robiin asking her to meet him outside of the palace of kings at 11:00 and slipped it under her door. Meanwhile he had some investigating to do of his own. He made his way to the Argonian assemblage, as he thought that the downtrodden Argonian populus would know a fair amount about the corruption. He started poking around and asking the Argonians when the guards were out of earshot. He was told that the Cruel-Sea clan seemed to have docked the Argonian's pay in order to pay the guards, the purposes however were undisclosed. Marcus, satisfied with the information made his way to the palace of kings and waited for Robiin.

"I have another plan," he said, staring at the walls of the city. "I'll give you my robes and boots, keeping the money in them, and buy some peasant clothes. Then I will look the servant, and you will look like an Imperial noble. Then we can enter the Blue Palace and check for anything sinister. You could send me to fetch things to give me an excuse to leave and search, while you try to interrogate the politicians without them realising. Here," he said, handing his robes and boots over to Adonis, "take those."

Robiin woke late still tired from the travel, getting out of bed she got dressed she looked at her bow and sword she decided to leave them and just take her dagger. She walked out of the candlehearth hall the cold bit at her face. She took Marcus's note out of her pocket asking her to meet him in front of the palace of the kings at 11:30, it was now 12. Sighing she walked up the steps toward the keep hoping he wasn't mad.

When Robiin finally arrived at outside the palace he was not amused by the timing. Although he never said anything his expression showed it. "Alright then," He began "Before you arrived I've done a bit of investigating and have found that the Cruel Sea clan may have something to do with all this. Did you get any ideas?"

After Arthonnen had left without Rellian to head to Riften, Rellian decided he needed to catch up. Rellian jogged through the forest roads and through snow to get to Riften as fast as he could. As he approached the city a guard tried to collect some sort of entrance tax. A quick display of Rellian's Dwemer Sword and the Corrupted Coward backed off without much issue. They seem to almost all be such cowards. Cowards aren't normally hard to kill of course, but killing every guard isn't an option.

Rellian walked into the Bee & Barb, just in time to see Arthonnen end a scuffle. He heard a few words... perhaps speaking tons for Arthonnen's personality. It appeared the Nord had started the fight because Arthonnen left him for dead. Not the kind of guy I can trust. Maybe I can get some info from this Nord.

Rellian walked up to the Nord, who was a bit dazed and had a bleeding and perhaps even a broken nose. Rellian looked at the Innkeeper and showed a few septims "A couple of meads over here!" The Nord seemed more than happy for a free mead, of course. He didn't really seem one for talking. "Don't worry my friend! I have enough Septims to keep the mead flowing." The sell-sword smiled. A couple more drinks and I'll ask him about Arthonnen. See what is really going on with that man.

Robiin tried to read Marcus's expression to see if was mad or not but she couldn't tell. Growing worried she didn't want him mad at her but there was nothing she could do now.

"Alright then," He began "Before you arrived I've done a bit of investigating and have found that the Cruel Sea clan may have something to do with all this. Did you get any ideas?"

Robiin's head shot up at Cruel sea, she use to live in Windhelm as a girl but she hadn't told anyone that, and had a friend in with the Cruel seas who had been feeding her information for years. Smiling "I think I got some leads, just follow me Marcus" She said walking away toward the grey quarter.
