Beth recently renewed their patent on the name that falls under downloadable content over internet and mobile devices. If we follow the same for Dawnguard and Hearthfire then this could be our next DLC.

Personally I thought a trip to Cyrodil or an area near it would be our next dlc with Hammerfell being the last. You're probably asking "why hammerfell?"

well for a few reasons:
-The Alikhi'r warriors quest could have been an easy foreshadowing effect, just like the orphanage and the vigilant of stendar building.
-Guards constantly talk about the Hammerfell warriors' swords
-One of the gate paths of skyrim is known as the Hammerfell/Skyrim gate (the one on the left)

Here's why I thought it'd be near the last DLC though, I figure Cyrodil would bring up more Alyid ruins quest as well maybe a quest or two with Jygaalag - SPOILER: since if you run into Sheo in Skyrim, he does make mention about being the champion of cyrodil (If I remember correctly) - which would state the events of Shivering isles really took place, meaning Jyg is now free.

Why does it makes sense that Hammerfell would be the next place though?

because if Beth wants to go even further with the war, then do remember that the Adlmeri Dominion struck Hammerfell very hard as well and very recent.

on a side note, I would love for them to bring up the Yondulain (however you spell the name of the island that Redguards were native to before it went under the ocean so they migrated to Hammerfell) for the Argonians. It would make a very nice Atlantis type city for the race that can breath underwater. - and let's face it, beast races needs more love. I don't even play as beast races much (because my main saves are all related to my original hero from morrowind as I roleplay) and I know they need more attention - yeesh.

On my last side note, I wish the High elves of the dominion would make more comments about Bretons. Bretons are essentially Man Elf descendants so I would guess they'd make snood "lower race" remarks especially to them, like calling them clones or flawed copies of their greatness.

DISCUSS MY FELLOW DOVAHS! (and my awesome wolf blooded members!)

Highly doubt it. Rumors are the Beth are working on Fallout 4 for possible next gen console, or for last big breath of this generation console.

other than that, I would expect for them to re-re-release of arena lol.

but is still extremely possible.

Oh man, there's too much awesome on this thread already. I love the Alikhi'r warriors in Skyrim, their swords and their dress is just too cool. Any more substance or variation on what we've already got would be quite sweet. I always make a point to procure one of their swords, purely for the aesthetic. You got anymore scimitars for us, Bethesda?

If we're going to Hammerfell, then I want to ride a camel. Hammerfell is a desert land, right?

I don't really pay attention to where the next DLC will take place. I just am Hoping for a good and interesting story line , (One that is not too short) More Items , more interesting/unique Equipment for every type of player and a good eye-stunning new place. A well-developed cultural city would be nice. Wishing for more war-themed missions.

Bethesda is re-releasing the old game. It cancelled the old trademark in 2007, most likely because it stopped producing copies of the game which meant it couldn't fulfill the use in commerce requirements to maintain the registration. The second renewal is simply reflective of the fact that this is an intent to use filing and they haven't put the game back into circulation yet. Bethesda may not have any intentions to do so in the foreseeable future ( you can file up to 5 extensions for a total of 36 months to re-introduce the product into the stream of commerce once you get the notice of approval).

If you look at the application date it's March 10, 2011, 8 months before Skyrim was even released. Compare that to Dawnguard which was filed on February 17, 2012, Hearthfire filed on May 24, 2012 and Dragonborn filed on September 25, 2012. It doesn't fit the pattern for the trademark applications for all prior DLC releases and it makes little sense that they would name the DLC after already released content rather than establish a new brand. This is just more wild speculation from fans that are desperate for information on new DLC content.

They added 2 new unique scimitars in Dragonborn.

I would think that it being a trademark for "Downloadable Content" makes it more likely to be a DLC. Then again, I suppose it could just be a digital-only re-release. The "Redguard" title does seem a little basic for a Skyrim DLC.

I would love to see more dwemer ruins in Hammerfell, though, I always enjoy them.

Sorry, I had to -

But as long as Skyrim continues to keep upgrading and getting new DLCs, I don't care what order they come in. I don't want to buy a brand new game every couple of years - I'll run out of money.

There went my buzz. Doesn't change anything though, I still want to ride a camel.

I kinda do, i think it would be interesting to add up on the ''Saadia quest'' (if thats how you spell) and it all depends on the choice you made like it could go eithier way like somehow they realize that you killed their captain if thats correct and sends a army to kill you or vice versa?

This is what I wrote on another thread..

I can only think of this reason for this expansion. Redguard/Hammerfell will play an important role in the incoming war against the Thalmor. It will benefit a lot on both sides Imperials/Stormcloaks.

Given that the developers made an egregious mistake regarding the lore for the quest In My Time of Need, it would be highly problematic and unlikely that Bethesda would create any DLC spun-off from it.

What was wrong about the lore here?
