Hello all!

I have just returned to playing Skyrim after a several years long hiatus. In the meantime, I have upgraded my computer, and have also gotten an ASUS ROG 34 ultra wide screen with 3440 x 1440 resolution - which caused some problems, as the game won't properly fit.

I figured there would probably be a fix around somewhere. It turned out there is, but unfortunately, I can't seem to figure out how to get it done. There seem to be a myriad of different fixes, some discontinued (TruBY9?), and some with installation instructions I can't figure out. Such as the Complete Widescreen Fix, which requires installation of SKSE 2.0.2 Alpha, which seems to be specific to the Special Edition. I have the original game, with Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLC installed separately. Does that mean I can install the fix with the script extender for the original version - or does it mean the fix won't work for my version?

It seems I completely lost touch with the infrastructure of mods in the years I've been away. Could anyone point me in the direction of a 21:9-fix that will work for my version of the game?

My setup sounds similar to yours. I have original Skyrim (not the Special Edition) installed along with all three DLC, plus the official high res texture pack and a fairly robust collection of unofficial shaders and texture packs.

I have a 3440x1440 UW monitor as well. TruBy9 works very well for me. I use it for both Skyrim and Fallout 4. I have it installed via Vortex (replaced NMM) and load order sorted with LOOT. You don't need SKSE to run it. You DO need to update a few .ini files. This is critical, and the cause of most issues. The Description page on Nexus what to update or add to SkyrimPrefs.ini. I had to go into basically every prefs file in the Skyrim folder and in my My Games and updated everything that had the iSize settings.
