Lissette Direblade was born in Solitude as the only daughter to Rolgan Direblade, a 4th generation Nord Imperial soldier, and Aribeth Battle-Born Direblade, who was a daughter of Olfrid Battle-Born, the patron of the Battle-Born clan in Whiterun, who had run away from home and joined the Riften thieves guild when she was 15. Olfrid never found out what happened to her, and after scouring all of Skyrim to find her, he eventually gave up and presumed her dead. She was alive and well, though, but as one of the guild's best thieves with high sneak, lockpicking, and pickpocket skills, she was never seen by Olfrid, not even when she was in Whiterun in broad daylight completing a job for the guild, which she had done on numerous occasions. The couple met at the Winking Skeever in Solitude, where Aribeth had been assigned a fishing job and was about to pickpocket her assigned target, before Rolgan caught her eye sitting at the bar because he was both handsome and wearing the armor of an Imperial Legionnaire, and was also depressed and drinking heavily because his younger brother, who had also been his only living family member, had recently been killed in action by the Stormcloaks, as were both his parents before that. It was almost love at first sight for them both, and Olfrid gave his blessing for them to be married immediately for two reasons. One, he was immensely grateful to Rolgan for finding his daughter alive and well. And two, as a soldier of the Imperials, whom the Battle-Borns were loyal to, he believed that the relationship would draw Aribeth away from Riften, a city who supported the stormcloaks, and he was correct; after marrying Rolgan, Aribeth abandoned her profession as a thief, becoming a housewife in Solitude, and never set foot in Riften again. After Lissette was born, growing up she once asked her father about her paternal grandparents and her uncle whom she had never met, and all he said was, "You would have loved to meet them. They were all Imperial Legionnaires, like myself, but they were killed in action by the stormcloaks before you were born," and he broke down into a hysterical fit of tears. As a result, Lissette developed a hatred for the stormcloaks at an early age, and wanted to join the Imperial legion when she grew up. This hatred was only compounded after her father, too, was killed in action by the stormcloaks when she was 12. Lissette's mother subsequently finished raising her, and also taught her the thieving skills she had learned, although Lissette chose not to use these skills, and kept them a secret while she was being trained as an Imperial Legionnaire. She chose to specialize in wielding a greatsword as her weapon, and wear light armor. Lissette would not use the standard issue equipment of the legion. She also developed skills as an alchemist, an enchanter, and a blacksmith, and created, improved, and enchanted her own custom gear. Her glass greatsword is enchanted with cold damage and health drain. Her glass helmet is enchanted with waterbreathing and fortify lockpicking. Her glass boots have stamina regeneration and fortify 2 handed. Her glass gauntlets have fortify light armor and fortify 2 handed. Her glass armor has fortify light armor and health regeneration. Her necklace has fire and shock resistance. Finally, her ring has poison and magic resistance. She faught in the Imperial legion for about a year after completing her training, and during a maneuver, Lissette and her squadron had gotten surrounded and hopelessly outnumbered by a well organized force of stormcloaks including archers and swordsmen. They all knew that fighting back or resisting would be suicide, so they all threw down their weapons and were imprisoned as prisoners of war in Fort Amol. Lissette's well-developed thieving skills were completely unknown to the stormcloak captors, an ignorance which proved very fatal for them. After being locked in her cell, Lissette smoothly pickpocketed the cell key from the guard. After the guard left, thinking all the prisoners were locked up tight, Lissette unlocked the door of her cell, much to the amazement of all her fellow prisoners. She silenced their awestruck pleas to release them as well by saying, "Be patient! I have the skills of a member of the Riften thieves guild. I'm going to stick to the shadows and case this joint and figure out a way to bust us all out of here! Trust me, I can do it, just watch me!" Hidden in sneak mode, Lissette saw and overheard four stormcloak prison guards practically drooling over the immense quality and enchantments on her custom-made gear they had confiscated from her in the fort's armory. Ultimately, a brawl ensued between the four guards over her equipment before their superior officer intervened by yelling, "Okay, break it up, now, all of you!! None of you will get any of it! It is all going to go to the personal armory of Jarl Ulfric! And just for acting like a bunch of 9 year old boys fighting over a wooden sword, you are all confined to your quarters for 3 days!" After they locked the door to the armory and left, Lissette picked the lock, equipped herself with her gear, and raided the armory taking enough armor and weapons to bring back to the prison and equip her fellow prisoners, and then locked the armory door behind her. She snuck back to the prison with the gear she took, and after she released her fellow prisoners from their cells and distributed the gear to them, and after they were fully armed and armored, they made short work of all the occupying stormcloak soldiers. Lissette told her now armed comrades to stay there and hold the fort, and she would go back to Solitude and tell General Tullius to send reinforcements to finish garrisoning the fort. When she returned, General Tullius was very impressed with what happened, and promoted Lissette to the rank of Praefect for what she had done for the cause. He also had a very heavy heart and informed Lissette that her mother, Aribeth, was dead. He mistakenly believed that their squadron had been killed by the stormcloaks and didn't know they were only captured and were being held prisoner. When General Tullius falsely informed Aribeth that Lissette had been killed in action, Aribeth screamed, "NOOOOO!!! It was bad enough I was living without Rolgan, my one true love! I absolutely cannot live without my daughter! I'm sorry, General Tullius, but I must go to Sovngarde and be with both of them!" And she slashed her own throat with her ebony dagger. In a mixture of grief and immense rage toward the stormcloaks, Lissette went to her mother's grave in the hall of the dead, and vowed to her that as long as her body drew breath, she would fight for the Imperials until the day her sword found the neck of Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak.

(The throne room of of Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak, in Windhelm)

Galmar Stone-Fist: My Jarl, I regret I have bad news about the war. Fort Amol has been captured by the Imperials.

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: WHAT?!! WHAT WAS THAT IDIOT GENERAL TULLIUS THINKING?!! I'm sorry. Forgive my outburst, but even if the Imperials were brave or foolish enough to send a force that far into our occupied territory, a heavily manned fortress like that would require siege equipment, and a very sizable Imperial force to assault it and take it over successfully. How in the name of Talos did they do it?!

Galmar Stone-Fist: I honestly cannot say, as I understand it, none of our men survived the attack.

(Ulfric and Galmar both see Lodar Unblooded, a stormcloak soldier, breathing heavily and dripping blood from a sword wound across the chest, and struggling to stand from another wound in his leg.)

Lodar Unblooded: Forgive.....the intrusion.....my Jarl, but....my name is......Lodar Unblooded, and I....know the answer.....to your question!.....I survived.....
what happened.....at Fort Amol! But...please! You.....
must listen t....

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: Why didn't you say so sooner?! Go help yourself to my potion of ultimate healing I have in my dresser in my bedroom! NOW!!! Before your answer goes to Sovngarde with you!

(Lodar limps up to Jarl Ulfric's bedroom, heals himself, and returns to the throne room completely healed, but his armor still bloody and battle damaged)

Lodar Unblooded: Ok, my Jarl, here's the way it went down. We had received Imperial prisoners of war, and we stripped them of all their equipment. I locked up the last cell, and then I went to the armory to check on the equipment. Three other guards and myself were mesmerized at this glass greatsword and matching set of glass armor and a ring and necklace we had confiscated from a lady Imperial Legionnaire. Very badass quality and enchantments on all of it, to say the very least. Our arguement over her equipment got very heated, and it turned into a bar brawl right there in the armory. Of course, our commanding officer caught us and confined all four of us to our quarters for 3 days as punishment. I was in my quarters and took my belt off, and I realized my key to the prison cells was missing. I didn't know what to do, because if I was caught outside my quarters looking for it, I would face even more disciplinary action. I decided to wait for my meal to be brought to me, and I would tell the soldier that brought me the meal to look for it. About 15 minutes later, I heard clashing steel and Imperial battle cries outside my door, and I armed myself. When I came out of my quarters with my sword drawn, I was amazed and horrified to see that the Imperial prisoners we had locked up were now fully armed and armored with all their gear! I was able to piece together what happened then and there. The last prisoner we locked up must have pickpocketed my key, then she must have snuck to the armory and picked the lock on the door, and then raided our armory and took the armor back to her fellow prisoners and equipped and released all of them. I know it seems like an act of sheer cowardice, but I turned tail and ran out of there as soon as I could, but not before I took a couple of wounds from Imperial swords in the process. I knew that especially with that lady Imperial Legionnaire who is equipped with that equipment, if I stuck around, I would never live to fight another day! I ran back here as fast as I could to let you know what happened!

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: Very interesting tale. The prisoner who did such a thing would have to have very good thieving skills to pull off a stunt like that. Do you know who did it?

Lodar Unblooded: Indeed I do, my Jarl. It had to have been the prisoner whose cell door I locked last. She is the very Legionnaire who was equipped with that glass greatsword and matching glass armor. Her name is Lissette Direblade.

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: Even more interesting. Yes, I heard reports from the battle lines about a wet behind the ears Imperial Legionnaire girl who had become a bad thorn in my side because she was so equipped, and even our best archers' well aimed shots could not even scratch her armor. No one knew her name, though, until now. Galmar, send word out to our entire army that if they see her, kill that bitch on sight at all costs! In fact, send word to our entire army that I will pay 1000 septims to and make a thane out of whoever brings me that little minx's decapitated head on a dinner platter, and I will also allow them to keep all her gear! She is obviously far too dangerous to even be kept alive, let alone be taken as a prisoner!

Galmar Stone-Fist: I will see to it at once, my Jarl

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: And Lodar Unblooded, what you did was not an act of cowardice! It was the act of a soldier who was smart enough to recognize in a split second when to run away from a fight which cannot be won and get help, instead of needlessly getting yourself killed. If even half the soldiers in our glorious stormcloak army showed that amount of discretion, General Tullius' head would be on a spike on the wall of this castle right now! We will now call you Lodar Ice-Veins! Accept your newfound promotion with honor!

Lodar Ice-Veins: Indeed I shall, my Jarl. Thank you.

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: I hoped I would never have to stoop to such a level, but I think I will have to involve the Dark Brotherhood in this. I will perform the black sacrament tonight in my chambers and hire them to kill Lissette Direblade. This does not leave this throne room, everyone understand?

Galmar Stone-Fist: Understood, my Jarl.

Lodar Ice-Veins: Understood, my Jarl.

(In the bedroom of Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak; Ulfric has arranged everything to perform the black sacrament.)

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: Sweet mother, sweet mother, send your child unto me, for the sins of the unworthy must be baptized in blood and fear!

(Nazir, the master light armor trainer for the dark brotherhood walks into Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak's bedroom.)

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: Good, that was prompt. How much for the contract to kill Lissette Direblade?

Nazir: Our standard fee is 1000 septims.

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: Very well then, I will gladly pay it. If you successfully kill her and bring me her head, I will pay you an extra 1000 septims.

Nazir: Very intriguing. You must want her dead very badly if you are willing to throw your coin around that way!

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: Indeed I do. A word of warning, though: this woman is dangerous, and none of my men have ever been able to even make a dent in her enchanted glass armor, let alone kill her.

Nazir: She wears glass armor, huh? Well, as I'm a light armor master trainer, I just might stand a chance against her.

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: Good, now go make it happen! If you do not return, I will assume she killed you, and I will have no further need for your corpse.

(Nazir goes to the Winking skeever in solitude, and finds Lissette Direblade seated at the bar, and sneaks up behind her.)

Nazir thinking to himself: Great, just great! She is armed with a glass greatsword, while I am armed with only a single scimitar. I can see a joint in her armor where I might be able to stab through, but if she survives, it will be a death sentence for me! Oh my lord Sithis, please make my blade strike true!

(Nazir draws his scimitar and tries to stab Lissette through the joint in her armor, but Lissette hears him draw his scimitar and the stab wound is only semi-fatal. Bleeding profusely, Lissette recovers from the stagger and draws her greatsword, and swings it breaking through Nazir's block, cutting off his right arm, stabs him through the heart, and then decapitates him, the health drain enchantment on her greatsword visibly healing her wound. Then, two solitude guards come into the Winking skeever with their weapons drawn.)

Solitude guard: Ok, what's going on, what happened here?!

Lissette Direblade: Everything is fine now! This blaggard tried in vain to kill me, and I defended myself. All the witnesses here will tell you the same thing!

(Lissette and the two guards sheath their weapons)

Solitude guard: I recognize the armor he is wearing! This "blaggard" was a dark brotherhood assassin! Someone would have to be piss-drunk mad at you if they had the jazby grapes to sic the dark brotherhood on you!

(The solitude guard finds the contract on the body.)

Solitude guard: Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak ordered the contract, huh? I guess that makes perfect sense. I'm told you have a reputation amongst the stormcloak army, Lissette. They call you the "Stormcloak butcher girl". You should report this to general Tullius!

(Lissette goes to castle dour)

Lissette Direblade: General Tullius, sir, Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak sent a dark brotherhood assassin after me!

General Tullius: I feared that was the case! When we captured Fort Amol, kudos to you, it was like we shot a poisoned arrow into the heart of the stormcloak occupied territory. Since then, the tide of the war has turned sheerly in our favor. I don't want you out in public without being attended by at least two fellow Legionnaires, Lissette. Also, I will have your quarters guarded with the guards alert as a hawk while you are sleeping. I've heard the nickname the stormcloak army has for you...

Lissette Direblade: Yes I know, the stormcloak butcher girl, the solitude guard told me as well.

General Tullius: At the rate we are going, we should be kicking down Jarl Ulfric's front door in no time, thanks to your part in the war, Lissette!

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: Well, Galmar, I have been told that the dark brotherhood assassin Nazir I hired met a gruesome fate at the Winking Skeever in Solitude when he tried to eliminate our problem. Any word on if my 1000 Septim price I put on her head has motivated our men to kill Lissette Direblade?

Galmar Stone-Fist: I'm afraid the news is not good, my Jarl. They call her the Stormcloak butcher girl, and she is rightly named! She mercilessly slaughters our soldiers like stock pigs! Do you know Averik Snow-Hammer?

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: Yes, he is one of our best and most highly trained veteran officers who has killed countless imperial soldiers. I was even thinking about promoting him to a stormblade! Please don't you dare tell me Lissette killed him too!!!

Galmar Stone-Fist: No, my Jarl, he is the only man I know who got into a fight with her and survived. He returned to Windhelm to tell the tale, but his sword arm did not! In the duel with Lissette, his right arm was severed at elbow, his right ear was cut off, he was ran through the side of the stomach, and his left leg was also slashed with a very deep wound. Our battle-maiden Katrina who treated his wounds said he's lucky to even be alive; if she hadn't rushed to his aid sooner, he would have been beyond her healing abilities!

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: Dammit, Galmar! That's even worse than if she had killed him outright! There has to be some way we can take that Imperial Legionnare bitch out of the picture!

Galmar Stone-Fist: But how? The Imperials now have control of Riften as well!

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: RIFTEN?!!! Wait, I have an idea! The Riften thieves guild! We can hire them to plant a stolen item in her pocket! We learned from that Stormcloak prison guard Lodar Ice-Veins that she has good thieving skills, and that is how she released her fellow prisoners and they took over Fort Amol. So, if she was caught with stolen goods on her, she would ultimately get discharged from the imperial army! Send a courier to tell Brynjolf of the Riften thieves guild to see me right away, Galmar!

Galmar Stone-Fist: Yes, my Jarl!

(The throne room of Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak)

Brynjolf: Hello, my Jarl. You said you wanted to hire our guild to perform a shill job, yes?

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: Yes, Brynjolf, I do. I would like you to plant a stolen item on Lissette Direblade. You will know her if you see her, she wears high quality and enchanted glass armor and a matching glass greatsword. I warn you though, she has good thieving skills herself, which is why it should be believable if she is accused of stealing the item if it is planted on her.

Brynjolf: Thank you for warning me, my Jarl. I have a man who should be able to get the job done.

(Brynjolf returns to the Ragged Flagon cistern)

Brynjolf: Vipir the Fleet, I have a shill job for you. I want you to take this stolen gold and emerald circlet and plant it in Lissette Direblade's pocket. You are our pickpocket master trainer. If you cannot succeed, no one can!

Vipir the Fleet: Yes, Brynjolf!

(Vipir goes into the Bee and barb inn, and sees Lissette seated at the bar with her two Imperial Legionnare bodyguards watching her. "Shouldn't be too difficult. I've picked plenty of pockets in public and have never been caught before." He thinks to himself. He only touches the outside of Lissette's pocket lightly to plant the gold and emerald circlet, and with lightning-quick reflexes, Lissette grabs his hand, gets up from her seat, shoves him to the floor, and draws her greatsword holding the point against his throat. Vipir looks up at her wide eyed and amazed that he was caught for the first time since he practiced as a new recruit of the thieves guild.)

Lissette Direblade: So, trying to pick my pocket, huh, thief? Well, it will never work on me; my mother was a member of your guild, and she taught me all your tricks and everything she learned! In fact, she also told me your name, Vipir the Fleet!

Imperial Guard: You have committed crimes against Skyrim and her people! What have you to say in your defense?!

Vipir the Fleet: You caught me! I will pay off my bounty for pickpocketing!

Imperial Guard: Smart man! Now come along with us. we'll take any stolen goods and you'll be free to go, after you pay the fine, of course!

(After paying his fine, Vipir returns to the Ragged Flagon hanging his head in bitter and sheer embarrassment.)

Vipir the Fleet: Brynjolf, I'm afraid I failed at the shill job. I was caught trying to plant the stolen circlet on Lissette, and I had to pay a fine for pickpocketing. However, I think I know exactly why I got caught.

Brynjolf: Then please, do enlighten me! Of all people, how in oblivion did our master pickpocket trainer get caught?!

Vipir the Fleet: Well, when she caught me, she said her mother was a member of our guild and taught her the skills she learned from us. At that moment, I realized the striking resemblance in her face to a member of our organization I knew who we assigned a fishing job to about 28 years ago, and she never returned to us.

Brynjolf: Really? Who?

Vipir the Fleet: You remember that Battle-Born girl from Whiterun who joined our guild?

Brynjolf: Aribeth Battle-Born! Of course! Now it does makes perfect sense why you got caught! I remember the lass was a fast learner, and picked up our skills in nothing flat. She was even named to be Gallus' successor as the Guild master if Gallus ever died. After we sent her on that last fishing job in Solitude, we could never find her; it was as if she vanished from the face of Tamriel just like the entire Dwemer race! Now we know what happened to her; she must have fallen in love with a sexy solitude stud, and settled down with him; how romantic! What am I saying? I'd better stop sounding sentimental to those lovebirds, because this is a serious matter! I would never have accepted this shill job if I had known that the mark was the daughter of such a highly skilled thief of our own guild!! This means I am going to have to go back to Jarl Ulfric, a very rich client, and tell him we can't complete the job. He is not going to be happy about that!

(Brynjolf returns to Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak)

Brynjolf: My Jarl, I regret we cannot complete the shill job you hired us for; even our best man could not...

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: I DON'T EVEN WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT, YOU INCOMPETENT BUFFOON!!!! GET OUT OF MY THRONE ROOM, BEFORE I HAVE GALMAR CHOP OFF BOTH YOUR THIEVING HANDS!!!!

Galmar Stone-Fist: It wasn't his fault you know, my Jarl

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: I know, I just took our imminent defeat out on him. I think we need to accept our fate with honor. As us true nords say, Victory, or.....

Jarl Ulfric and Galmar together: SOVNGARRRRDE!!!!!

Galmar Stone-Fist: Well said, my Jarl. I will fight alongside you to the bitter end, even if it means we must face the Stormcloak butcher girl together!

(Reserved for future chapters.)

(Windhelm is under attack by the Imperials, Galmar Stone-Fist and Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak are in the throne room preparing for what will be their final fight.)

Galmar Stone-Fist: Well, my Jarl, it appears our fate is all but sealed. The front gates to the city have been breached, and the Imperials have spilled into our city like a tidal wave.

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: Ok, here's the plan: I will sit here on my throne, and when general Tullius gets here and demands our surrender, you stand your ground, and I will use the power of my voice I used to kill High king Torryg to knock general Tullius off his feet, and then you charge at him with your battleaxe!

Galmar Stone-Fist: My Jarl, if Lissette Direblade were to make her way in here as well....

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: I have no fear of this "Stormcloak butcher girl" my men have taken to calling her! In fact, I have a Skyforge steel greatsword I received as a gift from Eorlund Grey-Mane that is hidden behind my throne! If I see her face to face, that will be my last resort!

(They both hold their positions for about 15 minutes, the sounds of the raging, and also losing battle outside the throne room. The door of the throne room is splintered with one hit from a battering ram, and with four more damaging hits, the door breaks open, and General Tullius, his right-hand woman Legate Rikke, and Lissette Direblade stride into the throne room with weapons drawn.)

General Tullius: Ulfric Stormcloak! You are guilty of murder of Imperial citizens, the assassination of High King Toryyg, and high treason against the empire! It's over!

Galmar Stone-Fist: Not while I'm still breathing it's not!

Legate Rikke: Stand aside, Galmar! We're here to accept Ulfric's surrender!

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: I'll not surrender skyrim to a corrupt and dying empire!

Legate Rikke: Skyrim doesn't belong to you, Ulfric!

Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak: No, but I belong to her!

General Tullius: Enough! You are traitors and will die traitors' deaths! Stand down and face public execution, or advance and face summary execution at my hands! Either way, I'll be sending your heads back to Cyrodill!

(Ulfric shouts with the power of his Thu'um, knocking General Tullius against the wall of the throne room. Galmar charges at him with his battleaxe, and Legate Rikke and General Tullius both attack Galmar with their Imperial swords. Ulfric grabs his skyforge steel greatsword, and duels with Lissette. Shortly after Galmar is ran through the chest and falls dead to the floor, Lissette gets an opening, and swings her glass greatsword straight into Ulfric's groin, which cuts off his "equipment", causing him to drop to his knees and scream like a school girl.)

General Tullius: Well, Ulfric, you can't escape from me this time! Have you any requests before I send you to....wherever you people go when you die?

Legate Rikke: Sovngarde, sir.

General Tullius: Well....

Ulfric Stormcloak, meekly whimpering: Let the Stormcloak butcher girl do it; it will make for a better song! Also, please make sure the wound she inflicted to take me down is omitted from that song!

General Tullius: Well, as a fellow male, (sort of), you have my word I never saw it happen. However, there are two ladies here who saw what happened, so no promises given they won't say anything. Song or no song I still want it done, though; so will you do the honors, Lissette?

Lissette Direblade: Absolutely! I vowed to my dead mother I would kill this bastard who has taken so much from me, and I'm a woman of my word!

(Lissette lets out a yell of rage and swings her greatsword, cutting off Ulfric's head with one clean stroke. His head rolls across the floor, and breathing heavily with a gleam of sheer hatred in her eyes, she spits on his headless and still bleeding corpse.)

Lissette Direblade drops her sword and kneels on the floor with tears running down her cheek: I can only kill him once! My vengeance against him won't bring back my father, my mother, or any of my family who were killed by the Stormcloaks! I hope they are all watching from sovngarde and they are proud of me!

General Tullius, hugging Lissette, who is crying hysterically on his shoulder: Of course they are! I knew your father, uncle, and both your paternal grandparents! They were damn good imperial Legionnares, and their deaths were not in vain! You are a true hero of the empire, Lissette! I will make sure emperor Titus Mede II knows of your deeds and your hand in winning the war!

(Lissette regains her composure, drying her eyes, and striding out with General Tullius and Legate Rikke. After General Tullius gives his victory speech to the men, as well as praising Lissette and telling them of her role in their victory over the stormcloaks, Lissette returns to Whiterun to visit her only living family, the Battle-Borns)

Olfrid Battle-Born: Lissette! I received word that the war is over, and the traitor Ulfric Stormcloak is dead! You must have had some hand in that!

Lissette Direblade: You don't know the half of it! It was my sword which send his head rolling across the floor of his throne room, and that is not a tall tale, it is the unvarnished, honest to Akatosh truth!

Olfrid Battle-Born: So, my granddaughter is a war hero, and then some! If you have any other war stories you would like to share, by all means, go for it!

Lissette Direblade: Maybe another time. For now, this lady Imperial Legionnare needs some serious R&R.

(Lissette returns to her mother's grave at the hall of the dead in Solitude.)

Lissette: Well, I've done it! I avenged our family, and ended the Civil War which has plagued skyrim for so long! I killed Ulfric Stormcloak!

(Much to her amazement, the spirit of both of Lissette's parents appear from their respective graves)

Ghost of Aribeth Battle-Born Direblade: We know, Lissette. We love you so much that we both watched everything you did from Sovngarde. I'm so sorry I went crazy and killed myself. I should have known better than to be impulsive.

Lissette: I forgive you.

Ghost of Rolgan Direblade: I'm also very proud of you, my daughter! I had hoped for a son, but I still loved you all the same, and I admired your ambition to join the legion! I had no idea my little girl would grow up to be such a dangerous warrior woman, and actually kill Ulfric Stormcloak, no less! Return to Sovngarde with me, my love! Now we know our daughter knows we are proud of her and we watched everything she did!

(Both ghosts vanish, and Lissette finally has a very large amount of peace in her soul.)
