Well it’s always nice to know some of us old timers are still popping in around here from time to time

Kinda brings back the feels from the good ol’ days

Name: Eldryk Raviro

Age: 82 (appears to be early/mid-30s due to Elven aging)

Class: Wizard / Necromancer

Religion: Worships no deity, but studies the Daedra extensively

Appearance:

Eldryk stands at 5'10", just slightly over the average Dunmer height. He is slim with very minimal muscle as he has little need of swinging a sword or physically exerting himself. His face is clean shaven and devoid of scrapes/scars. Eldryk's wavy, jet black hair is swept to one side and is very well kept. The sides of his hair are beginning to show signs of silver however, evidence of the stressful, cutthroat environment of House Telvanni. His eyes are a deep red, almost black-looking when in badly lit areas.

Armor/Clothing:

Typically wears a dark-green variant of the Telvanni robes, enchanted with frost protection specifically to counteract the biting cold of Skyrim's tundras. He makes sure to also wear protective leather armor and bracers beneath the robes whenever it comes time to engage in field research. Also wears an emerald pendant that is shaped like an eye, and a gold earring with House Telvanni's sigil inscribed into it on his left ear.

Weapons: None, is completely useless with a weapon in his hand

Magic: Conjuration is his strong suit with a decent amount of Destruction knowledge thrown in. Only knows the most basic of Restoration spells

Personality:

On the surface, Eldryk Raviro is someone most would likely call smug and cynical. Though not as bad as his fellow wizards, the raging politics and in-fighting of House Telvanni have shaped a lot of how Eldryk approaches and reacts to situations. He is very practical however, and will take whatever means necessary to see a task done. Eldryk is also quite posh, always wearing the best robes and finery he can acquire. This might make it seem as though he thinks himself better than anyone else, but this is far from the case. Although he might seem initially cold to others, once one gets to know him, he is simply a proud, eccentric mer who is very passionate about his research.

Dislikes: Stupidity, Shunning of Magic, Racists, Thieves, Loud noises

Background:

Eldryk was born to two lowly Dunmer in the slums of Windhelm's Grey Quarter. With no proper education, and the stigma of both the Nords and Argonians weighing down on their little community, his parents used their what little connections they had to book him passage on a merchant ship bound for Solstheim. Due to a powerful riptide in tandem with an abnormal amount of ashfall, the ship would trail off its course, hitting a massive rock formation. Those who did not die upon impact either drowned or were swept away by the current.

Injured but still alive, the Dunmer youth is awoken by a couple of mages as they were passing along the shores of northern Vvardenfell in search of raw materials. After healing him, the duo take pity on the boy, and bring him back to Sadrith Mora. While most Telvanni Masters did not want another mouth to feed, an older female master saw potential within him and took him under her wing. Under her guidance, he became a stand-out Conjuration mage and was quick to rise up the Telvanni political ladder.

Years later, Skyrim is hit with an undead uprising that levels the whole province. To further his studies and complete his grimoire, Eldryk wishes to return to his homeland to research this phenomena. Knowing this would mean they'd have to ally with the rival Mage's Guild, the Telvanni lend him no support or men to aid in the expedition. The call of knowledge is too great to resist however, so Eldryk travels alone in search of the Mage's Guild, and the fort they have managed to hide away from the rest of the world.
