Thanedom will be revoked in a few, but it's not a big deal - just do one little quest for the Jarl and help a few people again.
Thanks. Now that I really think about it I don't even really care about Thanedom. I am actually getting excited to throw my lot in with the Storm Cloaks and stand up as a Nord and true Son of Skyrim. There are a couple big quests I wanted to go through. I wanted to check out Dawngaurd and whack some vampires, hook up with Companions a bit, though I am not sure if I want to embrace being a werewolf yet. Plus one of the the main quests where Delphine is waiting for me to join her and the other Blades old dude as we search for the way to take down Alduin. And get to and take down Mirack the Dragon Priest. (pissed me off he tried to have me whacked. Need vengeance.) Now if I can just get myself out of that damned Apocrypha section that Neloth allowed me to walk right into... That section is giving me fits. When I fnally fight my way through that one I may well just drop everything and start up the Civil War quest.

I will say there is one advantage to joining the Companions -- Beast Blood ... 100% resistance to all diseases. (You WILL need to be cured before you can become a vampire, and it can only be done a few times without console commands)
So -- you hate getting Brain Rot from hagravens? Don't like the effects of Witbane, the Rattles or Rockjoint? Become a werewolf!!
