Bounty in The Reach?

Hi everyone! Just recently found this game so I’m REALLY new and just muddling through trying to stay alive.

So here’s the deal, somehow or another I picked up a $2k bounty in The Reach and I didn’t commit any of those crimes! Well I accidentally killed the guard who wanted to take me to jail but that’s beside the point.

Is this part of the game or a problem anyone else has seen?

Seems like you had a 1,000 bounty before you killed the guard. Perhaps you killed a civilian somewhere in The Reach before the guard approached you?

Random bounties isn't something I've heard of before, I don't think.

so... what happened I THINK is that you did the forsworn conspiracy quest and eventually you wind up in jail and a 1000 gold bounty that you cant pay

Thanks, but no I haven’t done the forsworn conspiracy yet, I’m there now. I guess I must have killed someone by accident but some of my crimes also says that I stole 3 horses and I never even got on one. Very strange but no matter! I let myself get arrested so I’m in that city now.

Yup, could be or maybe my follower did. I have Lydia and she killed a guy who just wanted a fist fight but I didn’t think I was in the Reach. Half the time I have no clue where the borders are! I’m only at level 17 so I have long way to go.
