@Madrar maybe a silly question, but would there be a barn? In the game there aren't really anything except large garden spaces.

I imagine so. My guess is bethesda just didn't want to tame up uneccessary space by adding additional structures. It also could be that they were trying to show how valuable horses and other livestock were in a medieval setting.

So, @Thesius what exactly is your characters accent? I've been imagining the general 'hurr-durr' of the guards in Skyrim, but I'm not sure what his actual voice is supposed to sound like. I know it's kinda hard to describe voices. I generally just go with 'gruff and gravelly' for Balgur, and leave the rest to the imagination.

Well, I wouldn't exactly call it a 'hurr-durr' kind of accent, but the accent Argus has been using since getting to the inn has been that of a typical nord. Maybe a little bit less pronounced than Ralof in the base game. His actual voice is like Ulfrics', but once again less pronounced. Should be posting by tomorrow morning.

Okay, I should be able to post this afternoon hopefully? I do have some things to do, but it shouldn't take all day. How is everyone? Staying healthy and entertained, I hope?

Edit: So, a little bit later than I would have liked, but I got something up. @Madrar let me know if you need me to change anything.

I should specify, the house is a two story building, so those of us who investigate there wouldn't all be crammed together. Unless some of you guys want to investigate near the barn for tracks.

Also, I'm doing well, Harkatti, thank you. I usually head to Germany around may/june to tutor english, but that won't be happening this year.

Should be able to post later today. Probably will have Kaliir inside, take a look around.

I'll get a post up tomorrow hopefully. My laptop wouldn't connect to the internet for some reason earlier but I think I got it worked out.

Also, I'm curious if there is anything in particular we will find? I guess tracks and broken objects but what about specific clues?

Glad you asked, especially since Lorkas is a mage, I think one of the things upstairs will be particularly interesting, depending on how much arcane knowledge he has. Well, to be fair, @Thesius has a warlock, and @Rafen a spell blade, so either of them could also find one of the things. Anyway, there's an item upstairs, shaped roughly diamond shaped, coloured a deep amethyst. There's something swirling around inside, kind of like ink. It's giving off a distinctly unpleasant vibe, magical in nature.

The second thing, is down on the main floor. By the hearth is a tattered, clearly burned piece of paper. On it, are the words 'Morthal' 'captain' and 'safe passage'. Whoever wants to find that is welcome to stumble across it. And as for tracks, it did rain during the night, and it's cold enough that the tracks have frozen into the muck. Not too difficult to find them around the farmhouse and barn.

Ok sounds great. Maybe I'll have Lorkas do some snooping and find the gem-like item. I should have a post up in a couple hours

    I look forwards to it.

Uhm I just wanted to ask clarify. The gem isn't supposed to be a soul gem right? If it is I feel like Lorkas would at least recognize what it is so I feel silly for not having him do so. If not then no worries at all.

It's definitely not a soul gem, but looking back on the description I gave, it does sound like it. So far as any of you can tell, it isn't a soul gem. It's giving off some unpleasant magical vibes, though. I'm struggling to come up with a good description for what 'vibes' exactly, without giving away what I have planned for it, ha ha. I'm not going to tell those of you that can sense the magical nature how it makes you guys feel, but it's not a good feeling. Best I can describe it, not sure if it applies to everyone, but : that feeling some people get when they're staring into a dark room, and for a split second you're sure there's something staring back at you? That.

@Thesius I'm fine with Argus' 'patron' recognizing the gem, since he/she/it most likely isn't of the mortal plane and would have a little more knowledge than the rest of it. However, I'm not yet ready to tell you guys exactly what it is, so I'd appreciate it if you keep any description of the gems' 'power' vague.

Just a point I'd like to make clear. While Dren is a spell blade, he's kind of cut himself off from magic. The best way, I think, ro describe rhis would ve like rhe psykers from horus heresy.

Except instead of being banned from using magic, he's set restrictions on himself. Meaning he'd recognize that the gem is magical, but would steer clear of it for just that reason.

Good to know. I'll keep that in mind for the future. In the interest of clarity, Drens' CC does say he'll use magic in desperate situations, or along those lines. So he's just reluctant to use magic, not unable, yes?

That's right. If everything's going to plops and he sees no way out, he'll start throwing a few spells. Other than that, he's acting like an average swordsman. A little more paranoid than most people, obviously.

Don't worry, Madrar. Argus is clueless about it, and he wants everyone else to remain clueless that he has some eldritch thing sharing his head. Also, Shaded and Morbidbread, I'm liking the tension/ snarking going on between Kaliir and Thoras.

Should be able to post something either tonight or tomorrow sometime. On an unrelated note, happy easter, everyone. Hopefully you're all staying healthy, even if you can't be with family because of the virus.

I'm okay. Not much going on at my place at the moment, so I'll probably be posting here sometime today.

Just a heads up, if no one wants to find the second clue, I'll have Merric pick it up. Probably getting close to leaving Dragonsbridge, so wrap up any conversations goin on at the farmhouse.

If there's something you guys really want to do in town, ( look around/ harrass locals for info) just let me know and when we're done with the farmhouse we'll head back there.
