just started a new play though, decided to do no smithing or enchanting play though. My character is an archeologist who collects and uses ancient artifacts.

so figured id see which setups everyone would use, items have to be unique only.

I might be using multiple gear layouts to role play different personas during this run(hero of skyrim, powerful mage, etc)

Joining the mage college would probably be essential since they have actual excavations going on and are interested in finding ancient artifacts.

A lot of unique items are one handed weapons, such as the ghost sword and pale blade, so perhaps be a spell sword who focuses on one handed combat skills. If you don't want to blast enemies with spells then don't use destruction magic or any offensive spells, use spells on yourself such as healing, wards, and oak flesh. But you can still use any rare staves you discover.

You avoid enchanting because you don't like the idea of destroying rare items to unlock their secrets. But you can use filled soul gems to recharge enchanted items.

You can use your home to display any items you don't want to carry aorund any more, either place them on a manikin, or put them on racks. Perhaps give your home a bit of character by cluttering the place with old items you find in ruins, such as cutlery and containers. Line your bookshelves with any books that activated quests.
