Sean Bean wouldn't be a good Dragonborn. Amazing actor, but he's sort of always been that secondary character that everybody loves.

fluff it, recast all the LOTR actors, every time I go to think of an actor who'd do good in a Skyrim movie it ends up being someone from LOTR (Viggo as the Dragonborn).

Gerard Butler would make a better Nord/Dragonborn (Lets be honest, its going to be a Nord Dragonborn in the movie) but idk if I want to see him portray a Skyrim character. I could honestly say that I think Heath Ledger could pull it off if he were still alive.

No matter the cast, Peter Jackson or gtfo

We already know who's gonna play RL role of Ulfric and Gen. Tullius :D I would have so many wet dreams (no homo) if it came true.
As far as the person who plays the Dragonborn I sure hope it's not one of these "famously known" actors. I'm sick of looking at them to be honest.

The rightful actor would be the guy who did the LIVE action trailer

I just hope in the movie he doesn't wear that ridiculous overrated iron gear all throughout the entire movie.

Is that fur coming out of your ears?
And since it's based on a Bethesda game, just before the climatic ending, the film bugs, stutters and dies, leaving the audience after 3 hours having no idea what went wrong or how the movie was supposed to end.

I'll bet you money that if a person who actually played the game of the movie he's making based off of the game and was a big fan BEFORE he started making it, the movie would be successful in every regard, even in the face of people who had never even heard of the game before.

If they were to make a great Skyrim movie, it'd be epic if they did the WHOLE THING in first person, and never told us what race the character was, what gender, or anything. It'd be very unique and I'm positive it would be successful.

It'd be like watching a crazy action packed version of Skyrim gameplay, and anyone who watched the movie would feel like the hero. Kind of like the scene that made the entire horrible Doom movie worth it

Kulich is a no brainer for Ulfric (considering that he voiced the true High King ;)) Definitely worth looking into the rest of the cast of The 13th Warrior. Even Banderas seems like a good fit for a Legion General.

That would be awesome!!!

Bro that is just motion sickness inducing if it went any longer. Also since there is less reflective surfaces (except for rivers or lakes.) the protagonist would be faceless. And for some reason people like to give the hero a face and leave the enemy faceless. Also it would likely have to have civil war focus or else there would likely be to much content im talking 6 movies so Meh idk...

The first person that came to mind for DB was Gerard Butler.... just becase i can hear " THIS....IS.....SKYRIM!!!!!" then FusRoDah'ing a thalmor off a mountain. Hahaha

I would just start swooning if I saw him in Skyrim! I'd be like, "Marry me," lol. :D

Antonio Banderas is never a good fit for anything =P, besides, I'm pretty sure the screenshot of Kulich there is from Ironclad. Actually just downloaded the movie after I seen Raijin's post and realized it was Ulfric lol, seems like a decent movie.

This maybe true, but then again every single video game movie was not handled right .... at all. Horrible casting, horrible directors and even worse writers. I would venture to guess this is just because the movie studio behind it relied on the name and brand more than the actual quality of the movie itself.

If they get the right people behind this (I.E Peter Jackson, because motherfluffing Peter Jackson holy plops), it would turn out great. I would have high hopes for a Skyrim movie as I think Bethesda would do right by it considering the high caliber of game its based on.

Maybe they could take liberties with the story, and have it so that one major character is the dragonborn and a couple of supporting characters, of different races, who escape from Helgen end up going seperate ways and one becomes the arch mage of Winterhold, one becomes the head of the Thieves' Guild, etc. and they all end up reuniting at some point for some huge battle or massive quest.

Liam Neeson could be the good guy. Malcom Mcdowell could be the bad guy. That right there would be a good movie.

Just one problem, as they have to choose the Dovahkiin's personality themselves, there are a lot of races, he could be a werewolf or a vampire, good or evil etc...

Exactly. A Skyrim movie would contain a poorly written story, explosions, fight riffs played by Tom Morello, Tons of special effects (Special effects cannot turn a bad movie into a good movie) Hot men and women too, can't forget that.

Anyway right now, Hollywood is busy scraping the bottom of the barrel by making sequel after sequel of comic book movies, and generally each one gets worse than the one before.
