I'll say it one last time. I'm going to spoil the entire ending in this one thread. Leave if you haven't beaten it, unless you don't care.

So in the end, you're faced with two choices: The first is to let the world essentially reset and guide the remaining humans with your knowledge. Become their Moses, basically. Then you'd eventually pass on, as all humans do. First you'd be held as a hero. Then a legend. Then worshiped as a god. This choice was actually pretty awesome sounding. I decided I'd choose this, and maybe the game would continue?

The second choice, however, sucked. This choice was to let Juno out of her cage, kill you instantly then let her play with the Earth. Judging from her affectionate emails, she had an extreme distaste for Humans, so chances are she would kill them all.

By now I had made up my choice. fluff Juno, I was going to restart the world. But the best part? You don't get to choose. Desmond says he's made up his mind already, then lets Juno out and dies.

Of course, Ubisoft throws you back in the Animus with absolutely no explanation (and in this case, an explanation is impossible). But first, 30 minutes of credits.

In the end, the ending was cool to watch but ultimately terrible.

Nice one, Ubisoft.

BTW, I like how Connor shaves his head so he looks like an absolute weirdo, and then refuses to cover it up with his hood for the rest of the game.

I'm still screeching over the ending and I don't know how I actually feel about it.

I'm also bothered by how Connor won't put his hood back on. The guy never felt like an assassin to me, and seeing his half shaven head whenever I go single player mode now doesn't help.

But anyway, enough nit picking. I did notice thanks to a comment on a YT video that around the point when Desmond's body hits the floor, you can see an Animus flicker. Considering that after everything you end up back in the Animus and you can hear his voice explaining some stuff about pivots, I have no idea what to make of it.

Just... ffffffff.

I don't know if it was Desmond talking about the pivots, it didn't sound very Nolan North to me.

Anyway, like I said, I liked watching the ending, but I hated what happened.

EDIT: It could have been William. Don't remember the voice exactly but it could have been him.

Does it rival Mass Effect 3 for worst ending of all time?

Easily the most frustrating part for me was the complete cop out by Ubisoft to have imagination in the end. Primarily when Minerva comes back to tell you the truth about Juno and she then says the only answer is to destroy the world, because "The Templars and the Assassins have squandered the gifts we (the precursors) have left you!" As if to say that if they were working together they really could have created one of these machines that the precursors failed to produce successfully? Furthermore, Juno is able to save the world by (?) setting off a world-wide aurora? *facepalm* Why!?
Ultimately I understand they're going to make more games, but can they (ubisoft) not think of ways to answer the questions that they themselves raise?

And then they strap (Assassin X) into the animus and tell you to run around for a while... Frustration is definitely a good word.

I find it funny that they throw you back into the animus with no explaination.

if you played until the 'pivots' animation dialouge comes up, you'll find that basically, while william was in abstergo they extracted connors memories from him and were using a shoddy hack so they can use an abstergo agent to see them.

The ending did leave something to be desired but I expected as much from Ubisoft. Would've been nice if we were able to make the final decision instead of having it done for us.
