Jersey you really have an obsession with him. I perrsonally have a obsession with Lucien Lachance. But I think that's rather more understandable. Nothing to not like about him. And hes a fluffing badass

I like lucien too :3 but Cicero reminds me of Glarthir and Glarthir is just, MMM! :D <3 xD and mad people are just my cup of tea ;) without them The Elder Scrolls would be boring ass hell somehow.

Why do you say such things about loyalty in Dark Brotherhood, their ruthless assassins, just like the Thieves are thives, no honour, there are 4 main factions in the game which are the college the guild the brotherhood and the companions, the thieves and assassins are dark and dishonored, the mages and the knights are light and virtuous, simple, and i kinda felt sorry for cicero when i read his slow walk into madness from his 5 journals, poor little guy now follows me around to kick dwemer skulls

Is that fur coming out of your ears?
NightWolf,

I personally really... hate that guy. He's just so annoying. He's all like "Poor Cicero" this or "Poor Cicero" that. I can't stand it.

totally agree.

RIP Cicero

I fluffing loved him. And I killed him for it. I hate mimes, he's a jester, but I really hate mimes. I love that little guy, he makes me feel like I'm 9. A very disturbed 9 year old, apparently.

Wow really? Thats just a steriotype and you know it! We are eqal no one is smarter than the other you are just incorrect on your judgment and even cocky in fact. This is just a game not a gender battle.
There is some minor physical difference, but our mental capabilities remain the same, I am shocked on the stereotypical nature of that post. Oh well, at least Cicero isn't stereotypical.

First off, this could be answered with...

CHEESE FOR EVERYONE!!! Wait, scratch that. No cheese for no one.

But seriously, fans of Sheogorath should love Cicero. The Jester Assassin himself has some mental stability issues, which is a very common trait for the people who live in the Shivering Isles. Hell, the fact that he's an assassin who is dressed as the very jester he once killed should automatically award him with the title of the Duke of Mania.

As far as other reasons go, the history that's described in his journals pretty much wins the adoration from those who appreciate character development of any kind.
You are my new favorite forumer.

Well after Astrid betrays you and sells you out to those imperial soldiers and causes the downfall of the Dark Brotherhood I don't see why you would remain loyal to Astrid. Shes a bitch Cicero was right to attack them.

We will be avenged.
It's not that I either disliked or liked him. I actually kinda liked him, yes he's mad and probably more than we think, but he was fiercely loyal to the DB. Astrid framed him for ruining it and that forced him to be madder. We've all had bad days. Astrid actually was the back stabber, and sold the guild out. With that, I think Cicero is cool. (That voice get's me though..)

My first playthrough, Cicero got under the skin of the business like nature of my Khajiit sneak/assassin build. Hence Cicero died.

My second playthrough, my Dark Elf was very corrupted by daedric items it didnt matter. Cicero Lived.

My current playthough...we shall see shant we?

Outside of roleplaying, the actual character of Cicero was quite well written for and nicely acted.

They aren't really ruthless, because they simply carry out contracts given to them by various people in skyrim, like the aventus kid

Cicero creeps me the heck out. The first time I saw him on my little brother's file (he started the Dark Brotherhood stuff before I did), I knew I didn't want to see him again! Alas...

I didn't kill him because Lucien Lachance told me it was a bad idea to kill him, that the keeper is a sacred position in the Dark Brotherhood. Plus, I could already tell Astrid was jealous of my whole style and because the Night Mother chose me. Reading Cicero's journals also helped in that decision. He was a cool guy, plus I had already gotten his outfit in the beginning of that mission. Astrid's werewolf husband also was a huge dick to me, glad he died in that fire. Plus, I'm not allowed to kill any Dark Brothers or Sisters. Unless it was a sacrifice for the Night Mother like Astrid.

If you are a werewolf when you first meet him and ask him about himself he will notice this with slightly new dialogue revealing he was once a Companion and a member of the Circle. Hence why he is a werewolf, the Companions kicked him out because they found his methods "unsettling". He only calls you those names (beef roast for example) because its hard for him not to think of you as a snack; if you talk to him at the Sanctuary after A Cure for Madness he will reflect on that. I was devstated when he died, althought I dual cast Dread Zombie on him he wasn't following me so I killed him.........Cicero however I only killed once and tht was to duplicate his clothing. He makes a awesome follower and hw has very unique dialogue, for example try asking him to wait somewhere.

I killed Cicero, he killed Astrid and caused alot of troubles, but he did lead you to be "the listener".
How did he kill Astrid? Last I remember you kill her in the name of the Most Unholy Night Mother after she peformed the Black Sacrament on herself......

First of all, holy signature, Batman.

Anyway, like the other people here said, read the journals. He's loyal to the Dark Brotherhood. The assassins in Skyrim aren't. They ignored the Night Mother.

Why? Because he takes care of business...like a...boss. And with very little clothing for some reason.

(unfortunately I'm on xbox, for now, so I can't take any high quality screenshots so this will have to do :))
