I am seriously thinking about getting an x box as well as I have a ps3. because bathesda games for ps3 is just terrible.
I've yet to experience any real issues playing my Elder Scrolls games on my PS3. If you have an older PS3 it will chunk up more often. I've found with the second Gen it is much smoother.

That's what happens when you buy a PS3 blue ray player instead of an Xbox360 gaming console

No, it's not. This is what happens when coding becomes an issue. I'm a PS3 owner and I love my system. I'm also against gamer elitism because it is childish and foolish. PS3 IS a gaming console.

Bethesda said in another interveiw that they were disapointed of sony not able to get the game running on ps3, everyone thinks its bethesda fault but all they do is make the dlc then ship it to the other companies as in microsoft and sony and they have to put it on the console not bethesda so they have nothing to do with the dlc, its sony's responsibility to put it on there and fix all the bugs and make it compatible because it's their machine.
From my understanding its the game developers responsibility to take care of the coding for the machines by collaborating with the console company developers. Be they Sony, Microsoft, or the PC gaming company. My point being that the blame cannot just be placed on the shoulders of one for it falls onto the shoulders of many.

I got Skyrim on the ps3 on 11/11/11 because I spend a lot of time away from home and take my ps3 with me. But I ran into a lot of problems straight away it took me 4 times to get out of Helgen becuse of freezing, Whiterun was a slide show and after 40 hours it was almost unplayable so got rid of it. God knows what it would of been like adding dlc to that car crash it would'nt of been pretty.

I have 250gb slim jim and have only ever had problems with it when I play beths games. F3 was the most stable untill I grabbed the free dlc on the psn. FNV like Skyrim was a slide show after 10 hrs of game play. Rage was okay to start with but the screen tearing meant I never did finish it.

Beth treat thier ps3 customers like mushrooms keep them in the dark and feed them s**t.

Huh... See, I've never ran into that many problems so frequently with mine. Sure I had a bit of choppyness here and there but it took a lot of playtime before I ran into something heavy if at all.

If Dawnguard isn't available for ps3 buy november I will never play or buy another title made by this company, I'll just have to switch to dragonage 3 when it comes out.

Not that BioWare is much better... I hate to be a cliche, but look at the train wreck that was Mass Effect 3 - and Dragon Age 2. Still, any Dragon Age or Mass Effect crap would be better than the best Bethesda could do.

They're saying that Dawnguard may not ever happen at all for PS3. And Bethesda has said that it is their bad, not Sony's. If this news is true, well then. Looks like I paid for Collectors Edition for nothing. Because honestly, I bought it because I thought, "YES, Skyrim of PS3. Gee, I hope that the DLC that comes out will be awesome. I can't wait to get it." Because I assumed that I would be able to buy it. I wanted to load it onto my PS3 because it has been reliable to me. Thanks for the middle finger Bethesda.

Something tells me that one employee's comment might have been a slip of the tongue. Don't want to be cynical in this case, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Why should you have to buy a Xbox 360 just to use Bethesda games, That is a shame! I feel we who have PS3's should be able to use them it's the programmers who need to consider this before they even bring out games. Do it right the first time!

I hate it when they place the blame on the system. This was not Sony's bad, this was Bethesda's bad.

I am gutted about all the DLC problems for PS3. I am debating on getting an Xbox just so I can start Skyrim afresh and play all the DLC. Not sure if it's worth it though. I would like Bethesda to say whether it will ever be possible for their extra content to work on the PS3. I can understand if they're unsure but surely they will have an idea for how likely DLC will work on the PS3 system?

I play Skyrim on the Xbox and dont even own a PS3, but I do feel for the people who haven't gotten the dlc yet. I couldnt even wait the small amount of time when they announced the Dawnguard release date, so I cant imagine the frustration for those on PS3. I really and honestly do hope that the dlc, as well as all dlc that Skyrim has to offer will become available to PS3 very soon, because I definitely feel your pain, and PS3 deserves the dlc just as much as PC/Xbox.

I'm a new player however I know it's bad business not to release dlc's of this game for ps3 players with sony having such a large community of players. It's just bad business in my opinion.

There was a tweet sometime last week where one of the developers said they were close to getting it out. They didn't state which DLC though.
