I'm making a summoner/acher wearing light armor ill be using the bound bow and focusing on conjuration. I know that enchanting will increase my summons overall, but i also know that if i can get crafting to 100 then i can make light dragon scale armor, so im not sure which i should use, enchanting for spells, or smithing for the simple fact of great armor.

Enchants on your armor to reduce conjuration costs and to regain magicka quicker is very helpful. Smithing to improve armor is also vital to ensure you are not squishy.

personally i would go Enchanting to gain magicka regen and to make the cost of Conjuration spells cost less magicka, that way you dont need to waste perks on reducing cost of casting conjuration.

i great tip that i now use with all builds, is to not level support skills i.e enchanting, smithing and alchemy too early on in game, otherwise you level to quickly and will be weak against stronger enemies.

if you have to choose, go Enchanting.

The reason is that with Enchanting, like Niq said, will help your skills. Not only Conjuration, but also Archery damage, Sneak, Illusion etc...

If you play the sneaky archer type, then armor is nearly not needed. You can go with full enchanted cloth, if you know what you are doing. You would be rarely hit anyway.

You will loose a bit archery output damage with your bow, but 4 enchanted pieces of + 132% Fortify Archery will give you MUCH MORE damage than upgrading your bow with smithing.

Now, best is to go both though.

I like to do both AND alchemy. Partly because all 3 can be used for money making as well as for your own benefit.
