It was the early morning in Whiterun and I'd just woken up for my morning constitutional when I ran into the horrifying sight of a kid lying on the ground directly behind the Bannered Mare.

"AHHHH!" I screamed in my head, "DEAD KID! I swear I just uninstalled that mod! I'm so sorry little girl." T.T

Then I realized that she was just a sleeping orphan and that blank patch of ground was her bed. I'd never seen anyone sleeping on something that wasn't technically made to be slept on before and was again impressed by all the little details that Hearthfire adds.

Every single time I turn on the game and the intro music comes on. It blows me away every single time :)

I know, I generally let the music play through one time each day I play it.

I now gotta add BlackReach to my wow moments. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't stumbled on it yet. But I was expecting to find the end of a quest, only to open the door to that place!

My biggest WOW moment was when adopting the little girl in Whiterun, when giving her her first Dagger... The look on her face, the serious, I'll cut you look, while she was working out on the dummy, really gave me the chills...

This is something I think will never happen again. First playthrough, I enter Windhelm. The usually event with the racist Nords and Dark Elf plays out, and a frost dragon swoops down. It just attacks the city. They drop all the petty bullplops, and the entire city takes the field with me in the battle. It didn't stand a chance! I didn't know that fight wasn't scripted until my second playthrough.

When i first started the game while i was on my way to helgen, i was still listening to ralof right before we entered the gates and all of a sudden the horse was neighing like it was insane. My screen went all crazy and when it fixed itself i was turned upside down in the carraige and the horse was dead! I laughed so hard cause i got locked out of the helgen gates and was stuck... Best. Moment. Ever. Plus i watched the whole execution after it made me make my person. LOL!! I escaped outside of the helgen gates and skipped the beginning.

Many wow moments but a few:

First time I went into combat with Marcurio as a follower. Before I could get close enough to the bandit to attack with my axe, Marcurio blasted him with a shock spell and sent his corpse flying. I was like "Alright, dude. You can stay." Still my favorite follower, although I sometimes need that Detect Dead spell to find and loot corpses he's sent flying.

When I figured out how to use a bow properly with my Xbox controller. Took me two characters. Now I love it whenever I get in a good shot.

Bard's Leap. That was fun, although I died in the first attempt.

Pretty much each time I entered a new city or hamlet for the first time. I still love that music that plays when you enter a small hamlet for the first time for that character. Makes starting a new character fun. Wish it would play at other times. Very enchanting music.

Silly, but when I realize you could use weapons while on horseback. For some reason, this didn't work with my first character so I assumed it was how the game was. So when I accidentally discovered with a later character that I was wrong, I rode all over the plains of Whiterun, shooting deer and anything else from horseback.

Building my first Hearthfire house. And then walking out of my newly built house to find a dragon and a giant duking it out behind the stables.

Being carried up above Skyrim in the Merida deadric quest.

Those special quest locations like Japhet's Folly or the grove you go to for The Cursed Tribe quest. Blackreach is OK but I wish they wouldn't play that annoying "dungeon" background music the whole time you're there. Makes it kind of monotonous.

First time I found Deadric armor, well before I had the Deadric armor perk. In Dead Man's Respite. Unfortunately didn't get to keep it because of a glitch that wouldn't let me finish the quest. It was such a bummer that I just restarted with a new character (tip: do the Bard's College quest early on. I triggered the glitch by trying to go through Dead Man's Respite before doing the Bard's College quest, having gotten a letter about investigating the source of power there). Haven't found any Deadric armor since, just a helmet, a shield, boots, occasional weapons.

THE STORM CALL SHOUT. OMFG. SO AWESOME.

And anytime I find something I hadn't before, despite being on my 5th character.

When the update with horse combat came out and I rushed into battle with my sword drawn xD

Oh! This was an update then? Guess that's why I couldn't draw weapons while on horseback with my first character.

A gamer from World of Warcraft, my first wow moment was when other npcs started helping me kill something. Its lame but I was surprised.

Yeah. I loved it when that Khajiit assassin in Riften came after me when I exited the Ratway with Esbern and next thing I know, every person I had helped and befriended in Riften was trying to take her down. Couldn't even get a sword hit in myself. Dragonborn mob attack!

If the random-ish events are based in part off previous events. Dragon attacks seem more random, but first time to several hold capitals, I have had to fight a dragon. Sad, if you are hacking away, and a guard gets in the way, as the dragon dies, they turn on you in a second...
