The Imperial assault on fort Dunstad was underway. led buy Legate Sorenius (me), the battle was burning fiercley, with heavy casualtys on each side. But as the imperials broke through to the courtyard and onto the outer walls, the stormcloaks were quickly whittled down to there last numbers. When the rebel surrender horn sounded, all insurgents dropped there weapons and retreated, easy pickings for the conquering legionaries. However one lone stormcloak evaded the sword slashes of the soldiers, ran up onto the walls and jumped down and headed for the hills. Every legion archer at the legates disposal fired at will after him but he proceeded to run untill he dissapeared over the ridgeline. Other than that lone soldier, there were no survivors. The Pale quickly fell as the imperial flag flew over the fort.

(Wow moment: I couldnt help but sheathe my sword and stare in admiration as the soldier fled, thinking, run forestav, run!)

A few days down the line, the liberation of Winterhold began. During a covert operation to recue prisoners from fort Kastav, the initial scout party was ambushed and the covert attack was turned into a full on assault.

(Wow moment: Did the soldier who escaped the assualt on Fort Dunstad warn the insurgents of our plans somehow?)

Watch out for hop-ons.
I've been wowing pretty hard lately...

I've started taking Sven with me wherever I go, and am so impressed with his dedication as a bard. In a recent jaunt into a draugr-filled tomb with a bunch of Imperials to clear it out, you can hear Sven's flute playing in the background mid-battle. And when we're fighting spiders in the wild, flute music. Dragons flying around? Flute.

Sven = Captain Wow.

Yeah until two dragons break out of the ice, I was running and screaming, the ice field getting smaller as they dive into the ice then come out at a different spot.

Was "Wow" then turned into "Oh fluff leg it" running like a mad man dodging these beasts breaking the ice around me.

Another monent, the breaking bridge in that one cave where you meet Gelabor. When I first played Dawnguard I was not expecting that.

my biggest wow was when i shot a forsworn in the shoulder with an arrow (killed it) and it did a back flip of the edge of a mountain and must have began to glitch as it kept spinning and picking up speed and i watched in aww as he spun hit the bottom and continued to spin until he was out of sight (booh yaah)

I recently installed a mod called "Oakwood," which puts a little town by the edge of Lake Illinata in Falkreath. Coincidentally, it's right next door to my burgeoning homemade manor. It's got an inn, a couple boats, a few houses and half a dozen friendly NPCs. I stop there to pick up food from time to time if I'm running short, but other than that, don't think too much of it.

Anyway, I recently adopted a daughter. On the morning after her arrival, I decided to play a game of hide-and-seek with her. I closed my eyes and counted to ten. When I opened them, I gasped aloud and nearly fainted in horror. My daughter hadn't bothered hiding. She was standing right in front of me, along with what I thought was her exact clone. I thought the game had glitched in some horrible way and somehow created a duplicate of my beloved daughter. But upon closer inspection, I realized that the other girl was a girl who lives in the town down the road. As I watched, the two of them began playing together. Over the coming days, I saw the girl frequently coming over for playdates with my daughter. Sometimes she even came in the house for a bit of fun.

I was absolutely flabbergasted and amazed by this mod. It's so simple and yet, so surprising. It caught me completely off-guard in the way it so seamlessly became a part of the DLC.

I decided I'd make a Pure mage and I've had to use shouts to help me in many situations, mainly use the slow time shout. What made me go wow was the fact I was attacking these Forsworn and used the slow time shout to help me get in some good duel impact shots and as I used it, there were several arrows going past me in slow motion and I felt it was like the Matrix.

And it becomes even more fun when facing several Death Lords who use those ebony arrows that can deal a lot of damage, and you see their arrows going past you in slow motion as you move out of the way and realising "Just one of those can kill me"

I haven't had any amazing wow moments yet, but one moment that made me go 'wow' and laugh out loud was when I was just walking along, on my way to somewhere when suddenly a cart fell out the sky. I got such a shock! It was obviously a game glitch but it was honestly like somebody had dropped it on me. Very, very funny!

I'll be sure to report back when I have a better 'wow' moment.

I think my most memorable moments in Skyrim (so far) are from all the macabre imagery of Castle Volkihar. I got some serious chills the first time I stepped foot into the main hall and saw the vampires and their gory banquet. As the vampires whispered amongst themselves about Serena's return and Lord Harkon expressed his wish that his wife could be there before he skewered her head on a pike I really felt like I was there for a moment; like a lamb that wandered into a den of wolves. Beyond the main hall, the thralls pens had a very convincing aura of hopelessness, and the castle's abandoned sections were a chamber of horrors in their own right as well. By the time I was done exploring the castle I found myself saying: "This place makes the Dark Brotherhoods sanctuaries look like Breezehome."

I also remember being fairly awestruck the first time I found my way down into Blackreach. There is plenty of amazing scenery on the surface of course, but stepping into that enormous cavern was like walking into another world. The glowing mushrooms the size of tree, the luminescent motes the showed how still the air was, and then when I saw the alien-looking Falmer city my jaw dropped; easily the most mysterious place in Skyrim.

My first 'wow' moment is when I stepped into Markarth! I really enjoy that city in general. But I love watching when I see dragons in the distance. It's so beautiful; it makes me not want to kill them!

My biggest wow moment. Skyrim is the first game ive really ever played. I have never cared to much for games at all. Tonight, as I was reading other wow moments I realized that I have actually joined and actively read a forum dedicated to a video game.

Overlord of the Void
That "Wow" Moment when you:
....Discover a Ebony War Axe in a unlocked chest at level 3.
....Discover a Dragonplate Helmet of Peerless Destruction in the Apprentice locked chest in the Thieves Guild Training Room at level 23
....Your Dead Thrall kills you with a misplaced Ice Storm and you had not saved in the last 20 minutes.

Dr.Madness

Overlord of the Void
My "Wow" moment when I conjured my first Dremora Lord at level 15 and I conjured a second one and they proceeded to slaughter the giants I had angered and then ordered Lydia to unlock the chest at the camp for me and discovered Orcish Armor and a enchanted Dwarven War Axe.

Serebro Moniker

I had just climbed out of the pool under Bard's Leap, and found myself accosted by a due of Forsworn. One, an archer, was firing at me from a stone statue overlooking a very steep fall. I sent him an arrow, which hit him full in the face and sent him into a backlip off the statue.
Felt so awesome after that.

One time in Whiterun I was sneaking around on the stairs to Dragonsreach and at the right moment where there was no guards patrolling I shot an arrow at the preacher guy but it didn't finish him off. So I was waiting for the right moment to shoot a second arrow but from the opposite side someone else shot an arrow which killed him.
I specifically remember not having any followers with me because I was a thief so I didn't bother having anyone around because they only brought me attention. I have no idea who it was, but thank you unknown Skyrim character for murdering one of the most annoying characters in the game for me.

After Roggvir was executed in Solitude, I stripped his body, dragged him through the streets and dumped his body in that vegetable cart sitting by a wall.
Whilst a lot of people came past and said 'how awful', a soldier looked at the body and muttered the word 'traitor' before walking off.

If only I could have put his head on a pike...
