No doubt many of the people who frequent this forum are well aware of the supposed leaked files which suggest some of the new content that will be available in the next installment of Skyrim's DLC series.

While this is all fine and good I would remind everyone that a wise man once said: "Never tell the truth when a lie will do."

In the spirit of that philosophy I am dedicating this thread to the listing of all unfounded and baseless rumors about the upcoming Skyrim DLC.

I will begin:

1. Just as the return of the crossbow to the Elder Scrolls Universe was a prominent feature of Dawngaurd, the upcoming Skyrim DLC will feature the return of the Colovian Fur Helm. The new helmets will be available for purchase wherever armor is sold and can also be crafted by players themselves. Additionally numerous existing characters in the main game will be equipping the stylish head garment including: Jarl Balgruuf the Greater, Delphine, Ulfric Stormcloak, General Tullius, Kodlak Whitemane, and basically any other character in the game you are supposed to take seriously.

Please continue to list all baseless rumors as they become available.

I have it on good authority that the new DLC will include a quest to explore an ancient Dwemer vault whose inhabitants died as a result of a malfunctioning water pump, and where the Dragonborn will be able to find a DwemerBoy: a wrist-mounted, steam-driven piece of ancient Dwemer technology which will permit the player to target individual body parts and trigger automatic third-person kill-cams.

Oooooh, right

So I was browsing the internet yesterday when I found this rumor:

"Skyrim's new Dragonborn downloadable content will add the ability to host dance parties at the player home you crafted with Hearthfire. Do a good old-fashioned Paso Doble with your spouse, laugh as Maven Black-Briar and Jarl Balgruuf shuffle like LMFAO, or giggle as Krosis and Nimhe do the Monster Mash!
The DLC will add items such as a Dwemer discoball and mage-powered Smoke machine (note that the machine requires a level ninety+ in Destruction). Certain followers and hirelings will be usable as DJ's, including Lydia, or as the DLC renames her, P. Lyddy."

...oh god I want this to be real

Bethesda has humored us greatly with M'aiq the Liar ever since his introduction in the Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Strangely enough, Todd Howard has indicated that they will make him the main antagonist of the Dragonborn DLC on his latest Tweet. Let's not forget that Bethesda forum member Mardoxx also uncovered a file that suggested the idea of riding a dragon onto Umbriel, the floating city. How M'aiq and Umbriel fit into the story remains yet to be seen.

And on a side note, Peter Hines has responded, in an interview, to the outcries of PS3 gamers about whether or not Dragonborn will be PS3 exclusive. He answered, "We were so sick and tired of being dogged about for not releasing Dawnguard and Hearthfire for them. In fact, they should be grateful that we're still trying to fix the bugs and glitches that still persist. Now, I see no reason why they should be entitled to any Skyrim DLC." This is really sad news for those who play Skyrim on the PS3.
