ofcourse if its any consolation to the ps3 owners the game is barely playable on the 360 version as well, i bought a BRAND NEW 250 gig 360 a few weeks back along with skyrim and it studders, freezes, glitches, and pretty much cluster fl*ffs to the point where you often find yourself just quiting cause you're tired of trying to work around the bs..

I bought a brand new 360 for Skyrim and it was the 4GB version, the load time was soooooo bad. I literally ran out of save space within a week or so, so I went and bought a 250 HD and my load time was much faster. The biggest issue I have is freezing. Most of the time it happens when I exit or enter and the screen and music just freeze. One of the last times it happened I literally lost 2 levels worth of playing time. I could not find the files anywhere. I was so pissed as 2 levels are a lot of playing when you are in the late fifties for leveling.

It just goes to show you how good this game is, otherwise I wouldn't put up with this crap. Does the PC version crash as well or just the consoles?

I still get some Freezing, but I don't have the most awesome PC at the moment either . I will say that I ended up with the most Freezing/CTD ..(aka Crash To Desktop) when I had "WAY" too many Mod's going on lol. I took some off, freezing got better, then I got the DLC's..... Freezing got worse..... took some mod's off.....freezing got better.... etc.

yup.. i find myself holding my breath during every loading screen.. though my freezes usually happen either during battles or from simply walking around! yea its very weird and omfg beyond annoying, last week i almost returned the console till i read online someone else having the same issue with just skyrim.. the game is epic as hell but damnit i wish it would play correctly.

LOL! Well, when it freezes I generally stop playing and wonder how much I lost when I go back to it.

I get random CTD's every now and then, but I run close to 100 mods, so it's expected. The biggest problem with consoles is their outdated system specs. Trying to run a game in HD takes a lot of memory and 360/PS3 only have 512mb ram. That means it doesn't matter how big you hard drive is, the game can't exceed 512mb at any one time. This is probably why you freeze. Unfortunately, Skyrim retains information from cell areas even after you leave them, so the longer you play for, the more likely you are to freeze because your ram is holding onto useless information. This is probably one of the games biggest flaws.

How about you, did you ever install the graphics ENB Mod?

I'm really curious on someones take on the graphic quality.

Next Skyrim DLC is Dragonborn, has dragon mounts, Solstheim - report • News • Eurogamer.net

The above link also supports the inclusion of spears. Chitin Armor, Bonemold Armor, and Spears... I'm definitely going to buy the Dragonborn DLC!

I don't know why, but the possibility of spears seems like the coolest bit of info to me. I got so much to do though, I probably wait until a "Greatest Hits" version of Skyrim comes out with all the DLC before moving on to them.

I've tried several enb's, and personally found them not worth the performance hit. They'd cut my fps in half for a little extra color that could easily be matched by simply turning up the saturation in the Imaginator. Besides that, some colors were over exaggerated and glowing water at night was ridiculous. And DoF is extremely overrated, and seems like a feature that someone would want if their system was horrible and they didn't want to see anything so they blur it out. For awhile, I was pretty frustrated that so many people fall into the enb fad, but I've accepted that it's their game and they can do whatever they want. My recommendations for color and lighting... Realistic lighting, the Imaginator, and Climates of Tamriel. These three combined look better than enb and they don't touch your fps at all. And if you like DoF, Dynamic Depth of Feild. And if you have an Nvidia, follow their tweak guide at their website, or if you really want to tweak, S.T.E.P. has really good tweak tips too.

haha, dragon-mounting was inevitably going to happen. You can't just have a dragon in a game and not be able to ride it
yea but I am thinking its probably only for transportation

Hmmm... now why does that link seem so damn familiar?

And that's the link a lot of people have been using. I was just recapping
