I completely hate them. I think they are way to big. They are also tedious and frustrating. Thanks for taking the time to read and possibly responding.

I agree with the tedious and frustrating, and I also find they are extremely repetitive. But, if your are running low on soul gems, they are the place to go. Especially blackreach. Dat geode vain.

Robots are boring. You can't hack their heads off or watch them die slowly and painfully with pretty blood effects splattering everywhere yawn:sleepyface:. Every time i visit a dwemer ruin, I just want to get it over and done with, but like you said - they are too fluffing long. I always have a follower with me when I do a dwemer/blackreach mission, to keep me entertained.

But there is always a good pay off, with the amount of soul gems and treasures you've collected by the end of it.

Dwemer ruins I can take or leave, but they always come hand-in-hand with falmer, which I despise from the very source of my being, and refuse to have any more than the minimal required contact with.

It's kind of cool to be taken away from the dungeons and dragons surface world of Skyrim and be taken to a kind of alien place. The robots are very much like alien robots, and the Falmer look like horrible evil aliens.

And Blackreach almost feels like I'm playing a medieval version of Metroid Prime.

C'mon, Skyrim would be boring if it were just "kill dragons, kill bandits, kill Imperials/Stormcloaks"

i occasionally explore them just for the falmer fights deep within "plus i luv falmer gear" but yea the robot battles are boring, wish they could be filled with bandits or black mages instead..

Yes, but killing human enemies is a lot more fun. You get to hear their voices taunting you, making racist comments at you, begging for mercy when you beat them down and you can watch them die slowly and painfully, or just see them take a well-aimed arrow to the head and almost feel sorry for them that they didn't have a chance to hunt you. smashing up dwemer machines just doesn't give that kind of satisfaction. And the falmer don't even have voices, and they seem to be immune to having their heads chopped off. They have cool looking armour, though.

I just hate the enemies. Those robots and spiders are annoying. Other than that, the ruins are a nice change from the dungeons.

I actually like the Dwemer ruins, but mostly because it brings back fond memories of Morrowind (Now those were big too... In the sense I ALWAYS got lost). The only thing I hated, was when I got really deep into the ruin, and find a cave the led to a Falmer infested area. That sucked! Though, it not so but when you are a higher level.

<i enjoy the amount of gold and soul gems along with all the other hidden treasures that lie in wait, but i can stand falmer or master gardians...

I love them: all the soul gems from killing the machines can be filled by killing Falmer. If you are using Enchanting, this is a great way to boost your supply of filled soul gems.

Khajiit's are a favorite class of mine.
I do agree about the whole long and repetitive part. But in the end I'd say it was worth going through it all. Since you can smelt the dwemer scarp for some ingots which is at a decent price. Although that's more for people who have a companion/pack mule to carry all that stuff for you.

From the layout to the enemies IMO dwemer ruins are some of the better places to go explore, kill stuff, loot n journey through, time consuming or not.

Is that fur coming out of your ears?
I concur regarding the negatives already mentioned, but the soul gems are plentiful and the loot is fat, although sometimes in weight as well as gold value.

The traps also can be annoying, although jets of fire are easy to avoid, plungers too.

I hate them, robots shouldn't belong in a medieval game.

Am I the only one that finds them to be some of the most interesting places to visit?
