I am scared to play Skyrim early in the day. Well mostly because I may have plans to go food shopping to fill my ever empty fridge. I'll turn it on in the morning around 7am and before i know it i'll look at my phone and it is 10pm the grocery store is closed. Same with other things like doctors appointments, dates with the girl, etc. Thank god I haven't missed work yet because of skyrim I usually meet up with a orc that looks like my supervisor ten minutes before i have to go and am like "oh, pl*ps" lmao. Has Skyrim had a major impact on your daily activities even still to this day almost a month since release?

I wouldn't say it's had any real major impact... yet. I'm a married father of three with a typical IT office job. My daily schedule of wake up, kids ready for school, work, dinner, play with kids, and finally "me" time after 9pm hasn't changed much. I used to be in bed around midnight but find myself wanting to do one more dungeon until 1-2am now... but it is what it is. Sleep is for the weak.

Meh... it cuts into my sleep, that's about it... but as we've talked about in other threads... WE THINK ABOUT IT ALLLLLL DAY.

It definitely cuts into sleep time. I have a routine schedule of wake up, work all day, and then church/biblestudy/hang with friends occasionally. And unfortunately I still live at home for the time being (trying to buy a house) so I have to share the TV with my parents, and since the old man bought the TV, he gets priority =/ I don't get to play until they go to bed, or when I am home alone. So I actually have pretty low hours of playtime, probably barely reaching 30 or so. But I concur with Khazrihl. I think about it all day, coming up with things that I want to do, things I need to do, and a new type of character I want to build. So it's always nice when down-time at work gives me time to browse this fantastci forum and converse with all of you! :D

Ah i've gained a huge amount of self-control over the years. I don't really know how, but if I want to stop doing something I can usually do it pretty easily.

Sleep is not for the weak, it's for those who wish to gain the most out of their mental faculties :p. Hah LordTalos well that usually is what gets you over addiction, trading one addiction for another.

since ive been in the army ive found how far i can go without sleep. for me its about 4 days but thats not counting the 30 min power nap between missions. after day 4 im just dumb. basically a walking shell. like when this game first cameout i went 3 days without any sleep. no naps just work home and skyrim. lol

Unhealthy, but then again I'm sure you're conditioned for it, and have no problems at all applying that conditioning to civilian life, lol.

I seriously want to learn how you guys do those power naps! I have a buddy that is in the army, and its crazy! He decides, "i'm gonna take a nap" and LITERALLY like 30 seconds later, he is asleep. How the heck do you fall asleep so intentionally? haha I feel like I could be so much more productive in life if I could learn to do this.

its something that your kinda forced to learn. i can fall asleep anywhere and my wife hates it. but when i finally crash i crash hard she literally has to kick me to get me up.

Hmm well you could cheat and take melatonin, but it wouldn't be healthy either in the long run.

No, I meant to get to sleep immediately. Man conditioning is great, but i've noticed that stimuli such as caffeine and ginseng and whatnot have no affect on me whatsoever. I needed to stay up only about 10 hours beyond the usual sleep time and so I drank coffee, went and got a cappuccino, and drank an energy drink at the 8 1/2 hour mark because I was dozing off. Needless to say I ended up falling asleep only 1 hour after consuming all that.

yeah its just something your forced to learn in basic i think. when i say i can fall alseep anywhere i mean anywhere. and im out. like turning off a light switch. i dont know how we do it but everybody i know can do it. the firsttime me and my family drove from texas to my house i got mad at my wife cause she wanted to stop at a hotel. a drive that takes me 14 hrs took 3 days cause she couldnt sleep in the car. man was i mad. now whenever we drive home i take a different route and actually enjoy the scenery. i didnt realize how much of the country i had missed driving by myself.
