Not since Ultima Online have I put this much time into a game.

There is just something about Skyrim. I don't get tired of it. The roleplaying possibilities are endless. Each playthrough is a little bit different.

It is hard to explain. I look forward to coming home from work and settling down for the night and playing a little Skyrim. Sometimes it is even minor things that I enjoy while playing this. For instance, last night I was camped in the mountains north of Whiterun where the snow starts to appear. I had a campfire, it was dusk, a light snow was falling, and I was overlooking the plains near Whiterun. It was beautiful. I literally sat there for about 5 minutes just taking in the scenery. That is what makes this game so enjoyable. I can actually picture myself being there.

Honestly it is relaxing. It is nice to have a game like Skyrim where I can explore, view the scenery, go fight things, or do pretty much whatever I want and not have to think about work or other RL things. It totally takes my mind off of everything.

Sorry for the rambling. I just enjoy this game so much I had to share. It is truly amazing to me.

I've invested quite amount of time in my imperial female vampire. I'm at level twenty, I'm head of the mages guild, and well liked at the college. I've been helpful to people and started on the vampire side of dawnguard quest line. I was attacked by dawnguard soldiers on several occasions. One dead soldier had a writ for my death. I just kept reading over and over. My character cried and drank wine all night.

I was off Monday and played for hours and left the game at that point.

The possibilities truly are endless with Skyrim. On my one character (A level 52 Nord Archer), I've slaughtered nearly every NPC I could (farmers, travelers, soldiers of either sides, merchants, etc.). My bounty in The Rift alone is around 60K gold. So much for being the great and powerful Dovahkiin:Dragonborn:

As for on my new character I created yesterday (currently level 5 Khajiit 'Tank'), I haven't even been to Riverwood or Whiterun once. He's been too busy doing other dangerous tasks, like getting the Wabbajack at level 3 from the Daedric Prince of Madness himself. I guess this cat doesn't care much for the world's fate. Plus side of not starting the main quest is that there are no dragons to interfere with my antics. ;)

I totally agree with everything you said. It's extremely hard to balance Skyrim with my homework, football practice, and chores that I do daily. Like you said the possibilities in Skyrim are endless and whether you think you are done, you're really not. The seemingly endless content Skyrim contains amazes me. I find something to do everyday on Skyrim whether it is doing a new quest that I found, crafting some amazing pieces of armor, boosting my skills, or just furnishing my house and organizing all my materials I have found over the vast land of Skyrim.

To make a long story short, Skyrim is fantastic in many ways than one.

Best moments in Skyrim is by initiating ALL killcams on Grelod the Kind and Nazeem. If I lost count on the number of killcams left, I just do it all over again. It's the circle of life (death?).

Yeah I haven't started the main quest either. I don't like the random dragon attacks.

You don't like the dragon attacks?! Aww man thats what really makes this game feel like its own world. I could be in the center of the College outside and a dragon comes and lands out of nowhere!

Oh god, that happened to me once, I was just happily walking out of the Hall of Attainment when an Elder Dragon lands on my face. Took me 10 or so tries to kill it, but I liked it because it was a challenge, unlike most other random enemy encounters.

I've been playing since release, aside from my April to August break, and I'm still making new discoveries.

I like them, but my character is currently busy dealing with Thieves Guild Business and getting in good terms with the Daedric Lords. He'll go to Bleakfalls Barrow in due time, when it is deemed necessary.
There's no need to carry the burdening role of Dovahkiin quite yet. :p

Just want to let you know, you CAN'T beat Skyrim. The game creates infinite radiant quests for you. Eventually it will just be fetch quests, but still.
