okay as your character on skyrim....what do you do when you are attacked by the biggest fattest largest and most powerful dragon in the game.

a elderly dragon swoops and hunts you down blowing massive amounts from a greater distance blowing a faint scary ball of fire at you and it misses you and hits a rock.

do you A: crap your dacks and run away like a little and scream???

do you B: take cover and what do you do when it starts to hunt you down and chase you??

or do you C: hit it with ever arrow you got as a dragon born becarefull not to get chased and killed or your head bitten off.

I am afraid of dragons because I think they are the most terrifying creatures in the entire game.

but what do you do???

Depends on your specialization..wizard, assassin, 1h or 2h. With my shield, I play guerrilla with it..run around in plain sight so it sees me, otherwise the dang thing never lands. I play a 1h+ysgramors shield with 20% magic resistance and elemental enchants on my heavy armor. Elemental attacks don't hurt much with the shield raised, but, still I take cover when it moves in. Eventually it lands, then I lock it with alternated shield bashes and attacks.

Best thing about Skyrim is that nobody's a pussy, since you don't lose limbs and can reload if the poop slams the fan hard XD

Do you mind? I'm busy doing the fish stick!
I normally run for my life to be fair. Not so much on my higher level characters, but on my lower ones I know they dont have a hope. So I normally run as fast as I can away and hide. :D

Shiney, let's be bad guys.
I use arrows until it lands then I charge in with sword and shield.

Well, as a Female wizard (Arch-Mage), I used to pop a few Arron's until it landed. If it was a fire-breather, I'd be in some cover, and would throw fireballs via my Staff and hand. Now, since I have Shadowmere (Dark Brotherhood "Listener"), it "draws" the Dragon to itself, and tanks it while I hammer with fire or ice. Usually fire though.

I play as a mage/archer so:

Get out of the way until it shows its attack (fire/frost). Let Lydia take the blast...

Pull on enchanted boots/ring to get elemental protection and take a potion too. I carry a set of glass/elven boots enchanted against fire/frost/shock.

Step out in the open and let rip with the opposite spell (eg for dragon with fire attack use frost)

Once mana used up swap gear to helmet/gloves/jewellery enchanted for archery and go to the bow. Again I carry bows with both fire and frost enchantment.

Once mana recharges the option of going back to spells for the final strokes is there too. If it grounds nearby toss an atronach or Dremora Lord at it.

Works for me!

It depends on the dragon. If it's Elder or lower, I take it on. Otherwise, I just hide int the inn and wait 24 hours. When I use that tactic, though, the thing follows me for the rest of the game.

1.Mark for death _ 2.Dragonend _ 3.Fire Breath _4.attack with Battle Axe _ 5. take cover until shout is recharged - then do all of this again until dragon is dead .

this tactic works for me on level 35 and adept difficulty .:)

I normally book it as far and as fast as I can. If I've got a horse, I can normally escape pretty easily. If I've got a follower or two, the both of us can use our combined talents and usually do pretty well at stopping the monster.

However, my current game doesn't have dragons in it yet and it has been a long time since I've fought one (besides Durnevhir). I'm not sure how my archer/one-handed warrior would face a random one in the wilderness until I actually try it.
