You know I almost feel bad for the PS3 people, except that they are having hissy fits like 5 yr old kids. Instead of looking into why they are having issues they just say dumb plops like "its Microsofts fault" or "fu** you bethesda" and then when someone explains the issues or posts links about it they simply say its all lies. So Fu** ps3 users :)

Now now, calm down ;) no need to get upset. You wouldn't be upset if DLC came out for ps3 and not 360? I'll fluffing rant all day and use "bad manners" all day if some one is going to be anal for money.

Depends on WHY I don't have the DLC. When they announced the Witcher 2 they said it would be on both PC and Xbox 360, do you know how long it took for it to come to xbox. 11 Months, but I didn't throw a hissy fit and run around saying "f u CdProjekt" they said they were having issues and working on it. Putting blame in the wrong places does no good.

Hmm I'm not putting blame on the wrong place? It's Tocc Howards fault because he wants money haha
You have officially proven your lack of intelligence. He wants money so he is NOT giving you guys the DLC to BUY WITH MONEY. How does that make any sense. They are losing out on money by not releasing it.

I'm not too bothered about vampires and werewolves anyway, to be honest. I do hope we get hearthfire... or has it already been confirmed we're not getting that?

Yes you are.
Xbox 360 and PS3 both have 512mb of RAM.
Xbox 360 uses its RAM in a type of "pool" so it isn't dedicated to just one system or the other.
PS3 divides its RAM, so only 256mb of it goes to the GPU.

Skyrim needs more than 256mb of RAM in the GPU and CPU, it works with the Xbox because it doesn't use all 256 at once, most of the time it goes over. The extreme lag from the beginning of the PS3's time with Skyrim was affected by this division of RAM (which works well for games that are specifically coded to the PS3, but not for multiplatform). Most likely, the system can't handle running the game and multiple add ons at once, so they have to heavily recode Dawnguard and all future DLCs for Skyrim on the PS3, another reason why Sony is working right with Bethesda on this.

It has a possibility of not even being on the PS3 because of if Dawnguard has to be recoded to some extreme lengths, then it may not even be compatible with Skyrim.

Sony wanted to be "unique," so they made their own architecture in order to get the most out of what they had. They did not stop to think that it could hurt multiplatform developers, and then by that, the consumers.

The PS4 won't be like that, so don't worry as future multiplatform games should run just fine on the 8th gen consoles (except the Wii U).

Not mere rumors, leaked documents from credible sources.

Also, Microsoft's lawyers wouldn't be taking something down if it was fake.

I use the word fact in a strict legal sense. Information from third parties is considered hearsay.

Fact would be a published system spec on Microsoft's website or a working prototype. It would be a sweet machine though, if it did have 16 cores. The price would be rather high, I'm thinking. Using standard quality parts, with equally powerful RAM, it would probably run $1000. Unless it's going to be a few years, then the price will probably be lower or if they use substandard quality parts, like they do now.

Here we go again :) I had to go through this with the Fallout 3 DLC bollocks as well. You see, by Todd bending over for Mr Gates and taking it a few times up the ass he gets a lot of money. But not so much as releasing the DLC for Playstation. Hell, during Fallout, Microsoft even gagged the gimp while stuffing dollars down his panties to make sure he wouldn't say anything. Does this make Todd a bad person? No, A bitch yes, but not a bad person, and certainly not an idiot. There will be all DLC for Skyrim available for Playstation owners. Now stop worrying, wait for Mr Gates to pull out, wipe his cock and then Todd will deliver (as always) in time for GOTY. And if it really bothers you fellow PS3 gamers, just look at 360 users as Beta Testers, that's what they are as far as Bethesda DLC goes. Now, to the Batmobile!

I now have far too many bad images in my head. I need a lie down.

That's a nice bit of tech-speak. But are you seriously proposing that a console that runs Skyrim perfectly adequately cannot handle a relatively short add-on? I'm not buying that, I'm afraid.

The PS3 couldn't run Skyrim adequately, only after the graphics being downgraded (find comparison shots, the Xbox 360 version's graphic quality is better), and many other tweak was it able to run at all.

This is just a continuation from an old problem.

Absolute nonsense. I have seen it on both consoles and there is no significant difference, If anything the PS3 has the edge.

You are looking at a video before the game was released, since then they had to decrease the quality to decrease the lag.

Then take a look at this for a completely non-biased account:

Head2Head: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Analysis (PS3 vs Xbox 360)
Yes, and go to page 2, read the bottom paragraph.

The PS3 version of Skyrim doesn't use Anti-Aliasing, so the textures look blurred. The Xbox 360 uses it to some degree where the textures are sharper. Easily shown in the side by side images.

It would still be better to find recent comparison shots though.

But, anyways this isn't about the graphical quality of either, it is the architecture.
Just read this article, it says what I was saying. The PS3's division of RAM is awful for multiplatform devs. It wouldn't be a problem if Skyrim was coded just for PS3, but it was coded for Xbox, then ported to PC, then ported to PS3.

Yeah there is no way that it could be a hardware/software compatibility issue. Its more likely that bethesda just hates making money.

Not wanting to ignite another round of spleen-venting, has anyone any NEW news re PS3 Dawnguard?

I've learnt that Hearthfire is dependant on Dawnguard, so us PS3 users face the stark choice of:
1) Not one, but two possible infuriating waits for arses to be kicked, and DLC to eventually arrive;
2) That's it. Game over. Bye byes.

I know Sony have gotten involved and they haven't given up yet on Dawnguard for the PS3.

Remember Shivering Isles? That took a very long time to come out for PS3 after it did for Xbox. But it got there in the end
