so i know that in the main hall of your home, you can build a master bed and two smaller beds. but do those smaller beds count as children's beds, or do i have to build the bedroom extension to my house?

Yep. Main Hall will count as the children's beds. I honest don't see a point for the bedroom wing?

i chose bedroom wing only for the family home( greenhouse the best of options on that wing imho).
the bedroom wing is the only situation where you and your spouse can share sleeping quarters with your kids so it is indeed "homier" if you spend much time there.
and there`s a very nice outside deck above it so the local view may have some impact on your decision. works well for me at Lakeview anyway
