Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

Leave me alone, I play MY way, and that is that.

DODGE AGAIN, If you can't refute me then LEAVE. You obviously have no concept of what a debate is and have nothing to offer. You use serious medical conditions to try and cover that fact up. You are a coward and have no value in this thread other than a joke. If you can't refute one argument then you have no place here. This a thread for people who actually want to back up their Opinions with facts, conjecture pragmatism. You don't fall into that category good day I will no longer dignify your posts with responses. Anyway What are your guy's thoughts (Jeremius the exception) on giving Maven the Jarldom if the Imperial win the civil war?

EDIT:Sorry had to edit caught a number of spelling errors. I just get angry when people try and use medical conditions to cover up their own failings.

I was shocked! Upon further thinking, though, it made sense. She is an excellent politician and obviously very good at running a town. Riften may be a bit, well, dirty, but for the most part, it's a very prosperous town thanks to her. Sure, her methods are questionable, but you can't deny her skill in governing a town. I always say the ends justify the means in most cases. Ulfric is an exception to that, though. But for the most part, I initially thought it was a mistake, but when I thought about it, it was a good choice on the Empire's part.

Well to me it doesn't matter much, she pretty much runs Riften if she wasn't Jarl anyway. But I agree with you.

From this quote from Ralof, you can deduce the fact the Empire carries out trials.
That still doesn't equate to having anything remotely resembling due process as we know it. First, a trial may be purely a discretional matter. Second we have no idea what actually constitutes a trial. If you look at some of the older systems of adjudication such as the feudal "justice" system due process was non-existent. Trial by fire, trial by hot water, trial by cold water etc. were all basically methods of torture to produce public confessions with little to no regard for actual guilt or innocence.

She reminds me off a corrupt senator. Willing to use whatever means neccessary to stay in power and control those around her. In the end I think she would do what is best for Riften because it would be in her best interest.

Yea, Maven already stated she basically runs Riften already. And really, she isn't stretching the truth. It seems like one can't pass gas unless it is approved by Maven first. Her son is a tool though. Well, the oldest.

I always thought if there was a trail it would be a foregone conclusion. There would be no point, so why bother.

Well so is the Jarl's son Harrald. But you need the tools to make it a believable game.

I figured Maven probably strong-armed/bought her way into the Jarl position. She might be a decent leader, but only if you don't get in her way. I much prefer that someone like Mjoll be the Jarl in Riften.

His one redeeming factor is his last request. And that is to die by the hand of the Dragonborn, the person who this man has respect for and seems to believe has the good of his people in mind. But that is only my opinion.
I saw it more as Ulfric still trying to save his ego, especially with the "it'll be a better song that way" comment. If he was going to die, he wanted an awesome death.
I let Tullius finish him. "You're not worth my steel," I say.

It is not appropriate to ask people their age in threads, nor about any medical conditions they may have. If they offer it up, that's their business. I do not think it is appropriate at all to demand that anyone reveal his or her age. Legally, we ask age and only allow 13+ year old members. This information is permitted to be hidden from the masses to respect privacy and anyone with access to it is held to strict rules of confidentiality.

The bad grammar button was taken away because 99% of the time, it was used simply to inflate someone's bad ratings and had nothing to do with grammar. It was also applied to people for whom English is obviously not a primary language. I did not think this was in the spirit of the forums. Since it was so seldom used for its intended purpose, it was replaced.

And pestering someone about his medical conditions is just bad taste.

Please return to the topic at hand (as I've seen the latest posts have been).

Yes Madame Moderator, sorry that you had to come in and set mostly me straight. I just got angry, I am Sorry.

Even when you side with the Stormcloaks and defeat Tulluis, Ulfric makes comments about being in songs. It even shocked Galmar. This is where I get the impression that Ulfric only is concerned with his self image.

Same here - that last comment of his assured me of two things: additional confirmation of Ulfric's ass-hattery and a guarantee that Tullius will forever enjoy the privilege of ending him on all subsequent playthroughs of mine. I killed him once not having heard that comment somehow. The next time when playing and I did hear it, I never looked back after stepping out of the General's way.

I'll only kill Ulfric myself if I come up with an awesome way to do it. HelloMyNameIsEd had a good one: Steam Workshop :: Handyman

I killed him, because I wanted to. He got his song, alright...how the petty rebel leader of Windhelm got executed by an Argonian with a broom.

And that is why I killed Tulluis, because Ulfric will be killed for his "ass-hattery" (to quote Docta Corvina) and who will Skyrim and Windhelm turn to but the Dovahkiin?

Well he is right it would make a better song. But I make a habit of getting the killing blow or shot on any of the major characters or mobs in the game. I feel that if I am the one in charge it should be my hand that does the deed.

So very true. I plan to play all angles as I play and enjoy the game from many perspectives with numerous characters. I was merely expressing the choice I made with the only character I have as of yet who has actually chosen a side.
Probably the only common thread that I will have between all my characters is the pure joy I experience when killing Thalmor.

They are rather fun to kill, now that you mention it. I almost feel like I am killing stormtroopers...

You were to be executed on the captains orders, not the emperors.

Exactly I just think that she got dumped or something and was a little prissy that day and wanted everyone dead. Off Topic could you let me know when you run another RP like ROTF? I have been reading it and it looks like a lot of fun.
