Morokei is glitched. I knew something was amiss upon entering his chamber. The thralled wizards weren't using magic to keep him imprisoned. They were standing there doing nothing while Morokei was floating around looking menacing, but not actually doing much. He's glowing blue, like the thralls, and cannot be hit. Anyone else seen this? PS3.

How do you backstab a Dragon?

Sorry. That was me. They're actually all suffering the affects of my glitched pacify spell. Now all they want to do is drink tea and play with puppies. [emoji12]

Speaking of Morokei, I defeated him yestrday. Was a cakewalk... he just kept spamming the staff while I peppered him with my best arrows.
The Draugr Reaper that served as the dungeon's "mini-boss" was ten times tougher.

By the way, I only realized yesterday who the "enthralled wizards" are... and it was mostly thanks to a mod that, when I hover my (invisible) crosshair over people I haven't spoken to, only displays their race.
I actually felt bad "killing" those two. Damn you, Savos.

This seems like the right moment in this thread to re-tell this story:

You know the all-powerful Morokei? The one who holds the Staff of Magnus and has a very powerful mask? The one who taunts you with a magic depleting wind about how hopeless and doomed you are throughout the entire dungeon? The one Savos Aren was so terrified of he sacrificed two of his friends to keep imprisoned, despite promising they would stay together?
My pet dog just pushed him off his ledge, onto the ground, right back to the steps out of the main room, up the steps and all the way across the huge passage room until Morokei was backed up against the wall, where he died of bite wounds.
My glorious contribution to this fight was mostly falling off walls then forgetting where the stairs were to get back up and running after Meeko and Morokei yelling: "Hey! Get back here! The boss fight is supposed to be happening in there!"

Why is it when a dragon/vampires/cutlists attack a village or town, they always kill the important vendors. Blacksmiths and general traders always get it. Dragon attacked riverwood the other day. Landed by Alvor, fgrabbed him in his mouth and threw him in the river. After I killed the dragon, Alvor was nowhere to be seen. Followed the river and he'd floated a few hundred metres downstream.

Why can't the annoying one who sell/do/say nothing helpful or usefu be the ones to die?

If you like to watch Skyrim Role play vids. Check out MarcTheLoneGamer on Youtube.

His "Becoming a Mage w/ Vryll" series is very entertaining.

I found this to be hilarious: A couple nights ago, I reached the point in the Mage College quest where Winterhold is under attack by 'magic anomalies,' and you must go save the town from them. Unfortunate for Winterhold at that point, I had killed all of the towns' guards when last I passed through. Fortunately for Winterhold, I have Shadowmere. On my way down the bridge from the College to the town I heard my horse neighing, and sure enough there he was, at the base of the bridge, with every single magic anomaly in town swarming about him! You really had to be there, I guess... It was a fun scene all around, as Eola resurrected some naked women that I'd killed and looted some time ago, and one of the mages, (Arniel perhaps), resurrected a chicken to help turn the tide. The chicken, once the battle was over, commenced pecking the dirt, oblivious to it's current state.

Sounds like quite an epic battle! lol
I didn't know Eola could raise zombies either, that's awesome. I may re-think having her as a follower then.

Have you ever dismissed a follower, and then followed them for awhile? I don't actually have enough time on my hands to do this, but I think about it from time to time, wondering about the enemy encounters they'd have. The other night, after helping form a truce between the Ulfric and Talius at High Hrothgar, I followed Ulfric and Galmor at a distance for awhile. I watched Ulfric shout the frost troll off the cliff, but then became impatient and warped out of there. I don't want know how long it takes to descend the 7,000 steps at a leisurely walking pace.

Actually I have on accident once. How does one accidentally follow a dismissed follower? Well, I was doing the king of rags quest in Markarth and know that having followers can bug the quest. So I dismissed them. This was also on my no fast travel character. So I'm running back to Falkreath and Riverwood in the middle of the night (my followers were Faendal (of course) and another Bosmer I have from a Mod) and run into someone being attacked by 2 sabre cats. I help out the person and run up to see who it is. Oh! It's my second Bosmer follower. Neat. We continue further towards Riverwood and run into Faendal fighting wolves.

So this had me giggling way more than it should have. It looks like Nazeem and Anoriath are having a secret conversation. I was expecting Nazeem to say "You have the stuff? I brought the money."

That reminds me, I was wandering the wilderness outside of Riften on my way to somewhere, when up ahead, three warriors were killing a couple of frostbite spiders. By the time I got there, the spiders were dead, and the warriors revealed themselves to be.... the Companions, a long way from home! Its been awhile now, but I believe it was Farkus, Nadia Stone Arm, and that skinny guy who calls you his favorite drinking buddy. I wonder what they were doing all the way over there?

Well it makes sense, regardless of whether you joined the Companions or not, they are still a buisness - Muscle for hire Warriors that do requests for people in need, local beast slaying or getting money from ppl who don't pay up. I've seen em around Markarth and one time by Ansilvund. They got strong legs!

Been so long since I put Skyrim disc in, tryin 2 think of a random moment.

Aha! During that Pieces of the Past where u make the Mehrunes Razor, I entered Silus's museum with Cicero as my follower, I unlocked the Glass cabinet where the fancy robes where b4 Silus warped in the room, I waited till he gets to the back of the room, then commanded Cicero to rob the robes and suddenly Silus screams " Why you THIEVING LITTLE ELF!" - Cracked me up so hard I watched as Silus charged at Cicero attacking with an Iron dagger. Fun times.

Why do all quests follow linear box like thinking paths? Why can't I join the bad guys when they offer chocolate and power? Why do I have to follow dumb NPC's for the main story? Why is Alduin so easy to beat? Why do dragons run away? Why is it in every quest I have to kill something or someone? Why can't I manipulate the minds of people like the illusion tree says I can? Why do vampires get a special perk in the restoration tree? What's the point of illusion when alchemy is easier? WHy haven't they remade Morrowind yet?

I don't know

Why can't I join the bad guys when they offer chocolate and power?

I don't know

Why is Alduin so easy to beat?

You should try a speed run

Why do dragons run away?

Maybe your game is bugged. I've never had them run away before.

Why is it in every quest I have to kill something or someone?

I don't know

Why can't I manipulate the minds of people like the illusion tree says I can?

Sometimes you have to read between the lines. Sometimes even when something is written, it doesn't necessarily mean it performs that function.

Why do vampires get a special perk in the restoration tree?

I don't know. Maybe they were programmed that way.

What's the point of illusion when alchemy is easier?

Alchemy is used to make potions. An illusion is something that isn't there... I don't know. Good question.

WHy haven't they remade Morrowind yet?

They have. They also know who won when they fought the law.

A couple posts reminded me of things I could add to this thread...

Chickens do not have souls.

I once followed Gaius Maro. It is a most surprising adventure. Little did his father realize his son is a poacher and talks to slaughterfish as if they were people... Perhaps they are and I've never looked hard enough before...

You do realize theses were rhetorical questions and I wasn't being serious right?

I tried to leave ambiguity out of it, but to answer your question: No, I didn't take your rhetorical questions seriously.... I mean, look at them!

"They also know who won when they fought the law" ....You know? The law won... Horrible joke...

Well here is one for ya'll. I decided to do the Stormcloak side of the Civil War on my Orc two handed warrior. She's at the part where you have to deliver Ulfric's Axe to Whiterun. Only, having played the main quest once before, she hasn't done it yet because I'm afraid if I do it'll bug the game out and I've already got one buggy as hell save on a favorite character - I don't want another. Anyone know if doing the Civil War quest line after getting Lydia in the main quest bugs anything? Cause if not it'll be a while.

Also, I've begun to notice a few things about Ulfric I didn't before. For example, the guy put to death in Solitude when you enter the city for the first time. Why didn't Ulfric do something to save the guy who essentially saved his life and let him leave in one piece? That really irks me. Perhaps this is one reason why I'm hesitant to continue the Civil War quest line on the Stormcloak side. :/

I don't have a direct answer, but I do know that if you try to deliver the Axe before dealing with the dragon at the Whiterun Watchtower, you'll be told to deal with it first.

I've never had any issues with the Civil War quests, save for getting Gelmar (whatever his name is) to talk to you about the mission at hand.... There were times I'd tried waiting, traveling, sleeping, attacking and then calming everyone... That's just one of those things you have to come back to later on, and hopefully, he'll give you the dialogue option.

As to your second question, I don't think he could have. The cooldown on rip-body-apart shouts must be massive. I'm guessing, at least, four times as long as storm call shouts-- w/ Talos blessing & amulet.
