Kohlar the Unkilled

Time for some ale
I believe Markarth to be the only city in which I have never fought a dragon, and this being with a hand full of characters now. The last time I was in Markarth, I was playing as Kahn the Argonian of Mass Destruction. I entered the Silver Blood Inn and began slaughtering the patrons. They all fell easily enough, and the room began to fill with guards. I spied a mage sitting at the corner of the bar and went for him. He had a very powerful lightning attack at his disposal, and as it happened, turned out to be an essential character, for he wouldn't be killed. The name was familiar, but at the time I couldn't place it. Sam something... After killing 20 or so guards, and knocking down Sam one more time I decided it was time to leave this place. Sometime during the loading screen it occurred to me who Sam was... "Oh no!" I thought. So the slaughter of Silver Blood Inn was all for naught, as I reloaded a prior save. Fate would find me drinking instead of fighting that day. :beermug:

NPCs look funny when they sing along and clap to a bards' performance.
Especially when they shove their shield through their own heads to drink.

If you take Erandur to Windhelm, he complains about how unbearably cold it is. How much warmer can it be in Dawnstar? o_O

This happened to me once during Message to Whiterun:
Ulfric: Return that axe to the man who sent it and tell him he should prepare to entertain visitors soon.
Me: You will be stopped.
Ulfric: Even if I die in a dark alley with a knife in my back, the people will have seen...
Erandur: Windhelm is absolutely freezing! How can these people tolerate it?!
Ulfric:..is he with you?
Me: No. We're about to part ways.

Way to kill the moment, Erandur.

Well, he carries a key to a manor that doesn't even exist (unless you're on PC with USKP 1.2.4 or higher installed... but mods don't count). So maybe the manor was destroyed by something/someone, which forced Nazeem and his wife to move to the Drunken Huntsman. Now he hates his life and takes it out on the poor citizens of Whiterun (and the PC, of course).

There are several burnt-down/otherwise destroyed buildings in Skyrim, although admittedly none are quite manor-sized. But Wintersand may have been destroyed a long time ago, and its ruins gotten eaten by time. :D

Not at all. I've wondered myself what made Nazeem not only rude, but a jerk too. I'm sure a lot of people have. So no you are definitely not the only one. :)

Anyone get married, build a house and have your wife... Almost?...? get kidnapped?

I fast travel back to Lakeview Manor and suddenly a Highwayman Bandit attacks. I kill him and loot a ransom note. I run around the manor and can't find my spouse. I go to sleep and when I wake up she's there. But now she walks in place a lot... I think the game glitched. XD

Oh and speaking of backstories, anyone know Nirya's? Or does she even have one? I get she's there to back up Ancano and all, or atleast it seems that way, but is that really all? I've always wondered what purpose she's supposed to serve at the College.

She doesn't exactly back him up, she says she doesn't trust him, but thinks he's rather handsome. She also seems to be some kind of rival towards Faralda. Often when I've taken the quest to visit the college, the quest marker points to Nirya instead of Falralda even though Nirya does jack all to support my induction into the college.

Happened to me on a past account.

Cam back to lakeview, some dead bandits, Lydia standing over them. I raid them and find a note. Search for my wife, nowhere to be seen.Go to walk to whiterun to see if she's gome to breezehome of her own house (talking about Ysolda here) and randomly bump into her standing in the middle of a plain. Usual dialogue. Think nothing of it. Next time I'm at my house, she's walking on the spot. She often would walk backwards too. Was really creepy, like she'd been posessed.

Oh, see I always thought that she was trying to support Ancano when she said, "The College is due for new leadership, don't you think?". Guess I was wrong and she just meant that in general. So it seems like she's just a supporting character then, right? I don't think she gives out a quest or anything.

You know, there's a destroyed house near the watchtower you first attack a dragon. I always assumed that it used to be Nazeem's house that was destroyed by whatever. But he's too proud to admit to the people of Whiterun that his wife and him are in trouble so he goes around treating everyone badly and reminding them that he is very successful so the people of Whiterun won't realize he's actually struggling. Just my take on Nazeem

I've never gotten a quest from her and I've done the WInterhold quests many times now. You do get a letter from Faralda thanking you if you kill Nirya though

How do you backstab a Dragon?

Now that's interesting! Hm.

I know! Right? If she was marriable, I'd probably do it though, since there are so few marriable High elves. Still. She is such a b***h that killing her might be worth it. I do like Faralda though.

I never get a chance to engage a dragon in major cities. Even if ones about to kill me as I plough through the gates, it wont fly over the walls after me. Just waits for me, wherever I leave the city.
