Raijin

A Mage that loves a Templar
This isn't meant to be a Fan Fiction type so make it short, if you can help it that is :) Tell us about the history of your character, and what possess him or her to come to skyrim? No negative comments or anything else.

I'll go first.

My current character (My toon) is a male Altmer, Horus, born and raise in Summerset Isle who's parents were originally Thalmor but had a change of heart. Horus parents did not want Horus to have any influences with the Thalmor that they decided to take the risk, and leave. When the Thalmor heard of this news they signed a warrant out for the arrest for Horus parents. Since leaving the Thalmor is considered high treason the punishment is most likely by death, and they knew it. Horus parents heard of this arrest warrant and decided to leave Summerset Isle. They took Horus and fled their homes. They soon arrive in Firsthold where they found a boat that only can fit one person inside. His parents decided to put Horus on the boat and just as they were about to push the boat the Thalmor made their appearances. Horus parents cast a wind type spell that pushed the boat further out to sea. Horus, at the age of 8 years of age, was scared out of his mind, not knowing what was going on he cried as he watch his parents get slaughtered by a group of Thalmor.

Few days later the dehydrated boy washed up on Cyrodiil's shores. A nord couple found the lifeless body of Horus and decided to take him home with them. They’re nursed him back to good health, and after they realize that boy was an orphan they decided to keep and raise him like one of their own.

12 years later his past caught up to him. The Thalmor found out where Horus was and decided capture him. They've entered his home where they found out that Horus adopted parents were Talos worshipers. Almost immediately they've slaughtered them, and then left his home as Horus was nowhere to be found. Horus came home later on to find his parents maliciously murdered. One of his neighbors saw the incident and told Horus. He made a quick decision to leave Cyrodiil to head to Skyrim. Before he left he took a Talos amulet off of his adopted mother's corpse, and then put it around his neck.

As he crossed the borders and landed in Falkreath he saw a group of imperial soldiers beating up their bind stormcloak prisoners. He saw one imperial solider attempting to rape one of the female prisoners and decided to take action. He approached them and question their ethics. After a few mins of a scuffle an imperial solider hits Horus over the head with an warhammer causing him to be unconscious. They've wrapped Horus arms up and threw his unconscious body in the wagon. several hours later he slowly came to, and there he was surrounded by a bunch of stormcloak soldiers heading to Helgan.

An almost current photo of Horus Gold-Eyes (He adopted the name Gold-Eyes because back in Cyrodiil everyone complimented on how beautiful his eyes were) Since the game doesn't allow you to wear 2 necklaces I am pretending that hes wearing his mothers Talos amulet along with his akatosh amulet.
Current photo of Horus as hes working hard to become a very powerful mage.

Before anyone mentions how long it was, I know. I had too much fun writing Horus history :) Once my mind starts it can't stop.

Ive just started a new character, his name is Burakii, he is a nord warrior
Burakii was born in Helgen, Skyrim but moved to Orsinium when he was very young. he was not welcomed there and was treated an outcast, a group of bandits were raiding a village near by while he was out practicing his two handed, he ran to its aid with no hesitation, the bandits skills in battle where no match to his. after a while he heard a scream, running towards it, he found a woman inside holding a child which had been killed by the bandit chief, full of rage he stood between the family, even though they treated him like an outcast and protected her, he fought with all his might but the bandit chief was to strong, he was on the floor with a bleeding arm, the bandit chief reading to end his life first cutting his eye, blinding him and leaving a scar, but the mother jump infront of him, saving his life.

being given this chance, he grabbed a piece of broken wood, and drove it through the bandit chiefs heart, he fell to the ground. Burakii ran to the womans aid, just as the womans older son ran in, seeing what had happened, he ran over to his mother, tears in his eyes, his mother explained through a strained voice how Burakii had come to save her even though she had never respected him. after that day he became well respected. he learnt the ways of Orc companionship and skills in battle, his favoured weapon was the great sword, but was a still a worthy challenge with all other types of melee, especially the dual axes and SnS. he started a clan, called the legion, a group of warriors with special traits and skills, who protected their homeland from all kinds of evil, mostly bandits but would never hesitate to fight other sources of evil. him and his best friend (the son of the mother he protected) traveled to cyrodil to seek out a group of vampires which were traveling all around tamriel. they caught up to them soon enough at the border to skyrim, they passed through a thick forest, thinking they had the upper hand, but unfortunately the vampires had known they were being followed and ambushed them. it was a blurry and goring fight, they had killed 6 of the 7 vampires. the last was the vampire master varuak. he was very quick and skilled, Burakii was knocked to the side unconsious, he woke up daisely seeing his bestfriend on the ground with a bad wound, the vampire master came over and was about to kill Burakii, but Grimmnel (his best friend) jumped in front giving burakii enough time to grab his great sword and slice Varuaks head off, they rejoused, but was soon ended, Grimmnel fell to the ground, poisoned, Burakii searched his bag for a cure, but Grimmnel stopped him, pleading to end his life with honour, Burakii did so, hesitant at first but realised it was the best. as he was burying him, he was caught by the imperials. his life is now starts in skyrim, continuing the legacy of the legion, in his homeland of skyrim.

My character is a Bosmer named Olana Wishvex who was raised in the Imperial City. She had a twin sister named Olava. Her father was a blacksmith. She quickly learned how to fight excelling at most of the weaponry her father threw at her once she showed interest in learning combat skills. Her sister was much meeker, staying at home with their mother. They had a happy family. Her father needed to make a shipment to Helgen and Olana offered to take the trip to Skyrim to drop it off. She planned on dropping off the shipment and then exploring Skyrim for a while. But she was captured on the border. After escaping Helgen she decided that she would still explore before going home. But in her adventures she found out she was Dragonborn. She's kept in touch with her family threw writing, telling them about her adventures. Her parents wrote that Olava had left to make her own life elsewhere. But what Olana doesn't know is that Olava is actually in Skyrim looking for her.

I'll also talk about my latest character that has just reached Whiterun for the first time lol. She's a female Altmer named Prelana. She dreams of being a great Illusion mage. She was born and raised in an influential family in the Summerset Isles. Her mother and father are Thalmor who had gone to Skyrim to join the Thalmor there about a year ago. She had always hated the violence and destruction her family caused. So she performed an oath ritual. Threw this ritual she swore that she would never directly harm any person or animal while in this body. (She didn't say those words exactly or even mean that exactly but it was how the oath ended up) She went to Skyrim to meet up with her parents. But she was caught on the border. Now she's stuck with the inability to harm anything directly, having to resort to trickery and illusion spells to get her way. Not only that but she's about to discover her ritual woke up a demon inside of her, forcing her to grapple for control of her own mind and body every second. The demon can't harm anyone directly because of the oath, but that doesn't mean it can't do harm.

I have a lot more characters but Prelana is the newest and Olana is the one I play most. :)

Maybe I'll post some more stories later.

Rhew

The missing snow elf
Well I have 2 characters that I love the backstories I've given them.

Rhew, Snow Elf from the first era, ran from a Nord attack against her village (Her village being one of the few Snow Elf villages that didn't run to the Dwemer for protection). Everyone in her village was killed from the attack. She ended up at the Chantry where she worked diligently at the temple becoming a Paladin of Auriel. It was here that a dragon attacked that she learned she was Dragonborn. She left the Chantry and began travelling around Skyrim looking for Dragon Priests to learn more about the new powers she acquired. The Nords soon learned who she was and began hunting her down calling her a false Dragonborn. While climbing a mountain to get to a word wall a dragon (most likely Alduin) shouted an avalanche. She froze herself to save her life. She wakes up in the middle of the civil war having to figure out what the heck is going on and how much time has passed by (fyi 1000s of years). She will learn later that a Snow Elf that looked like her was killed and her head was mounted on a stake in front of the capital of Skyrim to warn Snow Elves what happens when you claim to be Dragonborn.

Takel'var is an Argonian who was the sole survivor of a shipwreck off of Valenwood. A group of Bosmers adopted him and raised him the best they could. He thinks of himself more as a Bosmer in scaley skin than an Argonian. He eventually left Valenwood to explore Tamriel. He became part of some shady dealings and began selling Skooma. A Khajiit accused him of theft and brawled. He still has the scars from that fight across his face. He was arrested in Skyrim for possession of Skooma. When he escaped Helgen he decided to turn his life around and became a traveling merchant of potions and poisons. His friend was killed by the Alik'r while deciding to help a particular Redguard woman. He ran off and ended up in Riften where he got involved with the Thieves Guild. While there he became friends with Brand Shei (as they have similar stories). He is introduced to the DB through the Thieves Guild and spirals further into darkness when his friend, Brand Shei, is killed by a vampire attack. He goes on a rampage killing every vampire he comes across. Eventually he tries to turn his life around again by helping people and adopting children but he knows he can't escape his past completely.

I have 6 characters total at the moment, but only a few have real, detailed backstories so I'll only include those.

My female Bosmer Nightblade, Serah Estiph, who is also my main character, has the following back story:
She was born and raised in Valenwood until roughly about the age of 16. This is when she was taught about The Green Pact and she realized her tribe was a lot darker than she realized. With every fiber of her being she wanted to rebel and so she did. She was very open with her tribe about how against the cannibalism of the Green Pact she was. She said that it was old fashioned and not needed anymore, so why do we still follow it? This made her highly disliked amongst her fellow Bosmers and eventually that dislike trickled down to her family. Not wanting her family to be caught up in what she considered intensely personal, she decided to leave Valenwood for a different life. By then two years had passed and she was a legal adult, 18 years old. She packed up a one handed sword, a bow and some iron arrows, and a few spell books to study along the way as she'd always been fascinated by magic and wanted to learn; a few weeks worth of food and clothes and set off. Unfortunately she knew nothing about Skyrim's war or having to have paperwork to pass the border, and as her tribe was a small one they didn't know either. So she was caught at the border and taken for a Stormcloak. It's been years since then and during her adventures she discovered she was Dragonborn. She embraced this destiny fully. Now she has defeated Alduin and has found her true love and adopted a few kids. She will eventually retire at her home in Falkreath but she has a lot to do before that happens.

I actually think I'll have to break this post up a bit.. My two handed warrior Orc has a fairly long story too. So I'll be posting the rest later.

I have four, but only two have backstories:

Elona (the Breton, could use a good family name): Elona grew up in Daggerfall, one of the main cities of High Rock. Her parents were merchant nobles, famous for helping facilitate trade in the province. If you needed a shipment moved from Daggerfall to another kingdom/city-state, they were your family to talk to. They were not all that well liked among some of the other Noble families, however. One day, her family's home was attacked, and her parents and elder brother killed. She managed to escape with the help of a servant from one of her family's few friends, who took her to Cyrodiil. She worked for the EETC in the Imperial City, until she got bored and sought to understand the world. She met the Imperial warrior of Stendarr Jesan (just because) and the two went to see Jesan's Bosmer friend, Sidra, who taught her stealth and mobile combat, as well as learning some magic on her own. She also learned Alchemy during her travels and used her merchant skills to get good deals on weapons and armor. She then traveled to Skyrim for some adventures. Elona will be a nightblade with investment in the speech skill.

Jesan Marius (Imperial): Jesan was born and raised in Bruma. After his birth, his mother joined the chapel in Bruma and served as a priestess, believing he was a gift from the Divines. His father was a mercenary. He learned how to fight from his father, and the art of healing magic from his mother. As he grew up, he went on some light work with his father, for training purposes, and also because his father was beginning to grow old. When his father died, his mother was distraught, and he often found himself taking care of her. When she died, he took up his father's warblade (what is commonly called a greatsword) and became a mercenary warrior devoted to Stendarr (got paid to kill bandits and other evils). His adventures had him meet The Bosmer assassin Sidra, the Dunmer mage Turain Ravel, and the Breton Merchant's daughter Elona. He helped them all out and decided to travel to other provinces. He then for some reason found himself in Skyrim, on a mission to rid the world of evil, according to a vision from Stendarr. He is a crusader who uses a two handed sword instead of one handed weapons.

Ronin was a Bosmer who grew up most of his life in Valenwood. For most of his life, his father and mother taught him how to use a bow to it's full extent. Ronin's older brother Faendal left to see the world when Ronin himself was 16. A year later Ronin's parents openly opposed the Thalmor when they got tired of being oppressed. They were slaughtered by the Thalmor. Ronin devoted his life to killing the Thalmor, and after travelling to Skyrim to find Faendal, he and his brother wage war against the Thalmor in Skyrim to avenge their parents.

My character is a Bosmer named Trûë his parents had moved from Valenwood when he was 3 years old, as they were traveling through Skyrim to get to there new home in Windhelm they were stopped by Imperial Soldiers who were attempting to rob them (force a bribe) for protecting "everyone in Skyrim" Trûë's Father was to proud a Bosmer to allow this and rejected this attempt which in turn caused his and his wifes death. These Imperials left the 3 year old child out in the woods of Skyrim alone, but the young Wood Elf was just starting to learn how to talk and discovered he could Command Animals so he roamed the Woods protecting himself with this skill he carved himself a bow and raised himself as a stealthy hunter the occaisional traveler would sometimes pass through but he wouldnt let himself be seen but one day he stumbled upon Windhelm now of age 20 and became a Stormcloak justifiably and slaughtered any imperial he saw to avenge his parents deaths.
