You seem a decent fellow. I hate to die.
Keep your distance, and keep plugging him with arrows. I so hate it when he chomps on me, then spits me out like a spent piece of spearmint gum. :D

I actually use all of those on dragons, but I tend to use the bow the most.

Dragonrend spam and attack it head-on with anything. I can't aim to save my virtual life with bows/spells.

I don't use the Dragonrand shout because when the dragon is flying around it gives my magic more time to recharge. I Generally use destruction magic to defeat the dragon. I also use conjuration to summon a daedric lord to keep the dragon busy while my magic is recharging., if it's dangerously low.

Dual-wielding power attacks with elemental fury, the dragon won't even get a chance to bite you, but you have to wait for him to land.

It's not the most fun way but it's the quickest way.

Hmmmm.... hard to say. I've had very great success using both a sword and destruction magic. Plus, Dragonrend makes slaying dragons so incredibly easy. I think it just depends on the offensive skill you're using the most. But who knows these things?! :)

nothing in life is more fulfilling than ending a dragon's life with the end of your blade

fl*ff DRAGONREND! WHEN I USE IT, THE DRAGON LANDS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD!

I like to summon an atronach, use dragonrend, then kill it with my ebony blade.
Since I absorb 30 health everytime I swing, I usually don't take that much damage.
Unfortunelty, I don't have ebony blade yet on my current character, so my strategy is to turn into a vampire lord, throw spells at it while it's flying, and claw it to death when it lands. When I'm in a city, I pretty much use the same strategy except I use dragonsbane instead of claws, because guards don't really like it when you turn into a flying monster.

I would intend to use either a daedric or ebony bow with two enchantments at the same time on it.

adds for alot of double the amount of damage.depends on what type of dragon it is,it will come down in just a few hits depends on your perk.

like my character has almost all the archery perks because my wood elf is a theif/archer just like robin hood and uses single handed swordsmanship.

I am going to get more perks for single handed bladesman real soon because I have critical strikes and all overdraw with archery and all single handed main damage perks.I am going to focus on those few yet.

and then with dragon slaying I am working mainly with bows, and I am glad that most of you feel a bow is easier for killing dragons, because it is beleive me with bows and magic as well.

I picked Archery, because it's my second choice. My first is Lightning, and Absorbing his breath to power it. Either Ward Absorb, or Breton/Atronach Stone. My all time favorite was using the latter, DragonRend, and Wall of Frost to hose down His footprint so He couldn't take back off. I know Destruction was one of the choices, but by itself, the Magicka Drain means taking breaks to recharge. Without Absorption, it just takes too long. Alduin took less than a minute on Master difficulty with Breton/Atronach/Ice Lake.

A good powerful (Usually Mystic) Bow is quick, simple, and never runs out of Magicka (nor Arrows. It may time out, but by then, my magicka recovers, so I can just recast.) It's a close second, if only it hit-scanned like Lightning. The Staff of Jyrik Gauldurson, and Spellbreaker is another nice combo. Just don't get close, and they can't hurt you. I've also used Lesser Ward, and the Staff of Magnus (The casting cost means less if you're absorbing magicka with both hands) but the damage isn't as high, so it takes longer.

A Storm Atronach would be nice too, but it won't work reliably with 50% Absorbtion (Cast, and Recast before hitting the Power button while it finds a place to land.) Even Staves, and Scrolls get randomly soaked up, but if you're not using this cheat, the Archmage's Quarters has a Staff of the Storm Atronach that sure helps, and also adds some Enchanting Experience.

I would intend to use either a daedric or ebony bow with two enchantments at the same time on it.

The Nightingale Bow has Frost, and Shock at Daedric Tier (If you wait to let it level.) If you DIY, Absorb Health, and Shock would be a great combo, because the former heals you from taking Breath (not to mention falling rocks, on fire) and no Dragon is resistant to the latter. It'd also be handy for most other enemies.

There's so many ways to skin a dragon. ;)

my archery is up to almost all perks in archery.

and then I am using all sneak and most of the swordsmanship.

later I am going into alchemy and enchantments and finishing off my lockpicking and pickpocket. once I am finished with building this character all the way up over time,he will become a god and I mean very very skillfull and powerful.

because not to mention I have quick draw perk adding with ranger perk and they all help with dragons and killing dragons.

I have already started a new character and she is a dark elf mage "in which I will make her"

her main spells are conjuration left side of the tree "no bound weapons stuff" and mainly illusion and destruction and restoration. in which will be very useful against a dragon attack.

What? Oh. Goodby
My double wielded Deadric swords with 300 damage. I only need one swing to kill a dragon...even Alduin.

ZeroDragon

Bring me my broadsword, and clear understanding.
I've tried sitting on high watching the local guardsmen do their best, but I get bored - they so need some training. So I usually go with a combination of magic and sword. I don't use the dragonrend shout anymore, it was novel at first but it got a bit too "easy". Plus, I'm a guy and my multi-tasking skills are about at their limit with a spell and a sword. Especially with Elder Dragons - at least the others let my health get quite low before munching on me and spitting me out.
