Kohlar the Unkilled

Time for some ale
As many of you know, my Argonian is chaotic evil. Has a large bounty in every hold in Skyrim. Well, I went to join Dawnguard with the intention of turning on them, and it's as if they read my hand. All of Dawnguard was hostile to me upon appearence. So now what? Can I still rescue Serana and become a vampire lord? I must I pay the bounty, (I won't pay!).

Your answer might be "calm".

Did you speak to Durak first or just go to the fort? If you didn't speak to Durak, doing so might initiate what needs to be initiated then you might be able to carry on with your original plan

Also, how much is your bounty in the Rift? I think this is the lone one that triggers hostile behavior in this case

You should still be able to become a Vampire Lord.

It is the high bounty that is causing him to be attacked by the dawnguard, thus he is unable to even start the dawnguard quest. So how is he going to become a vampire lord without starting anything? That is if he isn't on PC and he's willing to use console commands, but what fun is that? That's why I suggested calm for him to be able to at least talk and start dawnguard, I can't remember if it works.

Also you don't need to talk to Durak, and can find out about dawnguard via guards(doubt in his case) or going to the fort.

Because he can join Harkon and do the vampire side of the quest. Also, he might not have a high enough level calm spell, which would mean lots of grinding. Unless he started the Dawnguard quests before acquiring bounties?

Oh wait, sorry, it's been half a year. Forgot you have to go to the Dawnguard first.

the other option if your bounty in the Rift is way too high to justify paying it off, you could stash anything stolen and then do the time in that hold. That should allow you to start DG. Then if you want revenge once you become a vampire, go slaughter everyone in town to get them back for throwing you in jail

If not already done/eliminated , joining the Legion and pursuing that quest line until The Rift is under Imperial(Maven`s) control should erase any bounty you have there without paying.

Nope... I had to sleep off my bounty in the Rift. It was 30,400. Dimhollow crypt doesn't open up until Isran sends you there.

30k? Impressive.
If the max sentence wasn't 7 days, you'd have had one looooong rest. Although I suppose sleeping for an entire week isn't exactly common. :D
