See also people toying with powers beyond their scope.
Maven and Erikur and any non-elf supporting The Dominion may profit in the short term, but will eventually come to regret their choices. The Aldmeri Dominion has an agenda that is not compatible with the interests of humanity.

Considering that Elsweyr is a client state of The Dominion, you wouldn't really be messing with anyone's heads.

Oh not because I'm a Khajiit. But because I could have endless fun messing with them. Throw Voice on their sandwich for example. The Stormcloak Khajiit joining the Thalmor. That's just one giant "huh?"

I would to get my money's worth. And the Thalmor aren't innherently evil. If you were A high Elf in the Thalmor, You'd probably think of the Thalmor as spreading Elven Culture and bringing unity and order to the land. But as a rebel Nord or Imperial, that conflicts with Humanity.
From the perspective of any Man race (Nord, Imperial, Breton, Redguard), the Thalmor are evil. Their goal is explicitly the extinction of all mankind. While the Empire has made a tentative truce with them to avoid being destroyed, pretty much every single person ever (aside from some vocal Stormcloak partisans who think the Empire has straight up swallowed the Kool-Aid) knows that it's only temporary and -nobody- likes the Thalmor.
An Altmer or Bosmer might side with them, or possibly a Dunmer (though it's doubtful, considering they have no power to back up any attempt to enter into the Dominion as equals instead of vassals), but any Beast Races who do so are fooling themselves. Mer generally don't have genocidal tendencies towards beastfolk that they do towards Man, but they do have a long and hallowed tradition of subsuming and enslaving them.
I wouldn't ever side with them even if I could, because the only thing worse than an arrogant Nazi is an arrogant Nazi elf.

I agree you could be like a surviving blades agent who never got found out and remained undercover throughout the great war and is now posing as a high ranking member of the thalmor

I would definitely join and provide well thought-out and accurate reports of all their actions to the Empire and I would only write these reports in a sealed room with 3-foot thick cement blocks to make sure they never find out.
