What are some skills that you don't do?

Like I very seldom block or pickpocket for example, though I started recently doing a little bit more.

My block isn't even 30 and my pickpocket is 51. I actually do a little bit of every skill but blocking.

EDIT: Also although I don't do pickpocket that often, which I recently started, the first time I ever pickpocket was a forsworn briarheart :p. Picked a fairly hard target to pickpocket.

I never use pickpocket, even with my thief. Other skills I either never use or rarely use are block, heavy armor, two-handed, alteration, and illusion. My characters are always either sneak archers or masters in destruction/restoration magic. :)

When in doubt, follow the fox.
Every time I try to use Illusion, I get the message that the recipient is "too strong for {this illusion}" no matter who it is, even a lowly draugr. Everytime I look in someone's pocket using pickpocket, they don't have anything I want. I don't feel good taking some villager's hard earned 3 septims. I only use block to increase my level, although one time I took perks in block and it was kinda fun!

Personally, I find myself never using any of the schools of magic, and very rarely will I use Alchemy or Enchanting. Pickpocketing is one thing I've thought about doing with my current character when she isn't busy making Stormcloaks into pincushions, but I don't feel like saving and reloading every time I fail a pickpocket attempt :p

The only illusion I use is muffle. I did you fury on horses and deer lol, to get them attacking me and it worked.

I don't recall ever putting a skill point into Speech or Pickpocket. I've never rolled as a pure thief. Perhaps I should...

I use all skills with the help of mods :D PC Skyrim is so much better, speech skills added for shouts etc, adds much more depth to the game.

Two handed, blocking, heavy armor - I did at the beginning of the game until I learned better, and now I don't use them at all. Also pickpocket and speech. Don't know if it counts but although I use Lockpicking, I never put any perks into it. Seems to work just fine without them, and what doesn't I use potions and gear for.

Editing this post to say I don't use the above skills on my main character. I do on my other characters however, except for Lockpicking. Still don't see the point of putting perks into that, and that goes for my pure thief Khajiit too. :/

I'm currently using SPERG so there are benefits to leveling anything (automatic perks). However, in the past these are the items I tend to not level:

Illusion - I want to love it but I just can't stand it's passivity.
Heavy/Light Armor - They level too slow to be useful.
Speech - levels while bartering but I don't go out of my way to help it.

I tend to hate crafting (If I'm crafting I'm not adventuring):
I've made it to about 50 with each of them on different play-throughs before getting annoyed with it.

I have never actively used pickpocket as I am just not interested in being a thief.

I have never used the light or heavy armor skills. I was surprised anyone did. When I locked at those perks and realised I'd have to stop putting things on for their enchantment willy nilly and have to make sure type and styles matched as was like: "Pffft!"

I've also never used block as I've had trouble getting it to work for me.

I've tried all the other perk trees at least once though. Although some like enchanting, two handed, lock picking and speech were used only one or two times.

It took me a couple of years to get into restoration as I always preferred gulping down potions I made as alchemy is awesome, but now I use it regularly.

Illusion you can only have work for you reliably if you use perks all over the place, otherwise everything will be too strong for you. But if you are careful about perk points, getting higher level spells as soon as they appear and persistently use illusion in combat my goodness are you rewarded. Not only are you just an untouchable godlike being, you are a giggly untouchable godlike being. Getting enemies to fight each other is always funny, but I really enjoy what enemies say to you after you put a calm spell on them. My favourite were the Thalmor Embassy guards who all sneered: "Well that was pathetic. It didn't even do anything!" then benignly watched me stealing all their food and books while rummaging through their containers to find the key because I forgot to get Malborn to smuggle in lockpicks. I like imagining them trying to explain their actions to Elenwen later. "Well ma'am, it seemed like a really good idea at the time..."

This is rich XD

Anyways, up until my recent play through of a Khajiit Monk that I amply named Baurus Johnson, I never really looked into enchanting, restoration, or alteration. They're an need when just using fist fighting; the Fortify Unarmed from that guy in the Ratway can get pretty brutal, Alteration for Mage Armours, and Restoration for healing. This is also the first time I put a lot in Illusion.

Magic in general. I have close to 800 hours now, and have never taken a magic character above level 10, and even then, I've only tried it once.

I'm finding it difficult to keep leveling my sneak archer right now, I even legendized sneak. I might have to go with illusion or something just so I don't have to go legendary with one of my other main skills.

Pickpocket. I have never, ever used that skill.

I would have to agree with this.
One of the best mods when it comes to skills is the Uncapper, IMO. So much better than making skills legendary.
Regarding pickpocket, one of the reasons I really like SkyRe is that it merges the lockpicking and pickpocket skills, so all skills can be levelled without ever pickpocketing.

I agree. It's pretty hard for me to do a magic-only or mainly magic user. By level 10, I wind up reverting to the sneaky archer who only uses magic when it's absolutely necessary, and even then, I only touch destruction, and maybe some restoration and conjuration; alteration I found to be useless for the most part, and illusion just seems like a big pain in the ass to level up to the point of actually doing something,

Indeed. Even restoration becomes useless for me, I tend to roll through places and search every nook and cranny, after a few hours I usually have more health potions than I could ever need. I don't want to have to unequip my bow, and wait for a big healing spell to charge up and heal me. In most situations if I need to heal myself, it's usually an emergency and taking the time to switch to, and fire up, a resto spell would most likely result in my death.

Illusion even maxed out dual casting it seems too many character are too strong when playing legendary and level is over 90.
Same destruction, too slow to try kill legendary monsters with this.

Its seems that magic is just too weak in higher level legendary setting.
