are they all the same or are there more powerful ones that are higher levels
Indeed you do. And he also exemplifies the title of "glass cannon". He was dead within minutes of me venturing in a dwemer dungeon. I did my best to keep him up (he went down but not out at least three times) and by then I had had enough. Poor cat had to go the way of the buffalo. :'CI gave Lydia some Dragonplate armor I didn't want, as well as some Dwarven weapons. She was kicking some ass. I really want that Kahjiit from the Mage's College as my Companion, but I think I have to help him with those stupid scrolls first...

I tell you what i'm REALLLY close to trading in Lydia on my warrior. Every time i go to power attack something she pops up out of thin air and I end up bashing her skull in! Really thinking about being a squishy I don't particularly need someone to stand between me and where the pointy end of my sword is going.
On the bright side....dog meat!Had the same problem with the damn War Dog I bought in Marketh. On 3 reloads it didn't last 2 fights. Ultimately, the poor fella got between a Snow Cave Bear and my Beserker Rage and died for the last time. Not sure if they can be purchased again but what a waste of 500gp.
I need to remember this. I took anything even remotely ranged from her when I discovered she had emptied out every last charge of my sanguine rose. Companions need time out sometimes.I should also add, equip Lydia with a bow and she will usually hang back in fights and plink them with the bow. I always give her the best bow I can craft and she doesn't get in the way too much. It's very rewarding when you go to loot a corpse and she that she helped pin cushion them. I've seen her one shot Horkers with a Epic Glass Bow I gave her.
Shame. He looked like a pretty good caster, but judging by his scrolls i guess I should have expected some incompetenceIndeed you do. And he also exemplifies the title of "glass cannon". Which is funny; he was boasting of his magical prowess (or at least remarkable ambition) in Saarthal.Shame. He looked like a pretty good caster, but judging by his scrolls i guess I should have expected some incompetence
