Technology wise - Dwemer ruins takes the win.

As a necromancer stand of point the Nordic ruins fascinates me. The Draugr makes a great addition to my undead army.

Ya know our herbalists know many remedies that cure many ailments of both the body and soul... we can find something for Brain ailments - right Úrist?

I'll never believe! I'll never believe! (Of course that explains my obsession with the Dominion :) Maybe it's brainwashing?).

Every time you say " "I'll never believe!" one of Talos little fairies dies! you should be ashamed of yourself for saying such blasphemy statement!

You need some Peter pan in your life!

Now say "I do believe in a TALOS, I do I do! I command you to say it! That is an order from the gods themselves!

I like Nordic ruins. I can fill a ton of soul gems! :)
Touche. You can't really do that in Dwemer ruins (unless you run in to Falmer or Chaurus and they only fill low level ones). :)

The Gem point is a bit moot, because Practically every Dwemer construct has a Gem of some sort in it - pretty often it's Soul Gems
Touche. Not all filled though. Besides! Stealin' dem souls is fun!

Certainly ancient Nordic ruins. From the outside they are spectacular, most of them anyway. Sometimes they can be seen from miles away, and are even visible on the map if you look close, (the ruins of Bleak Falls Barrow can clearly be seen from above). I prefer the atmosphere inside as well. As far as the lit candles and such that someone brought up early in the thread, this has been explained. The draugr are wakened in rotation to perform certain "housekeeping" duties. As far as the cheese goes... well, the dungeon environment is conducive to its aging, the draugr themselves being the foremost connoisseurs of fine cheeses.

Dwemer ruins are usually ugly, monotonous affairs with steam. I do despise steam. And falmers. I hate falmers. The best part of any Dwemer ruin to me is the Centurion. So much more satisfying to destroy than those annoying spiders and rickety spheres! The inevitably good treasure they yield is appreciated. :beermug:

Dwemer ruins, especially Kagrenzel. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Kagrenzel

It is pretty cool, where you activate this magical orb and then it goes crazy, locks you in a cage that starts spinning, making this siren noise. Then the ground flips and you fall hundreds of feet through this hole watching several rock layers pass.

First time I did it was like "Wtf is that thing [activates] god damn stupid trap... why is it spinning and making all this noise... [ground flips] Oh plops!"

I really do not care for the dwemer ruins. They are too loud and many are too long. I never really cared much for the dwemer 'mystery' either. I don't know, just never interested me. The nordic ruins are ok, and I would rather go through them then the dwemer ruins. I really would rather be outside in the wilderness.
