I'm sorry if this question has already been answered but i cant find it ...

So i built the entry way to my heart fire home in morthal and filled all the furniture in. I cant activate the weapon racks and display cases.

I know this happens in falkreath as well because i built it in a previous game.

Im on playstation

I want to know how to fix this?

Does it give you the option to even display a weapon? and have to ask to make sure do you have said weapon equipped?

No it does not give me the the option and I've equipped many different types of weapons yet it does not work

*strokes beard* Hmmm, have you left the house for awhile returned and try to see if the option to put or display an item comes up? Cause it happens to me on Pc (and I've played on ps too and had the same thing) and I left returning at a later time and then it allowed me to

Hope it works for you! Remember to save!

Hmm it can be from going in and out of the house to maybe a day in game time, do other quests or whatever

I've had the same issue with both Lakeview and Heljarchen. Usually, just running outside and back in solves it.

I have a question, I have a house at white run (which I bought). but I been hearing that you can create your own house. Is this true? And if so, how?

What Ash said.

The Hearthfire DLC is a bit freeing, however it does have its restrictions. Three possible houses on three plots of land, but all with identical structural plans. You can build small or big, but you can't decide what goes where, only whether you want it or not. You can choose, for example, from three wings on the house. Each of the wing has possible uses, but they don't overlap, so you have to choose between an armory and a kitchen, for example. You can't have both.

If you're on PC, look here http://www.creationkit.com/Category:Getting_Started for a basic instruction on how to use creation kit, where you can build whatever you please and customize it
to your whims. The page will link you to more specific pages, via the tutorials hub http://www.creationkit.com/Category:Tutorials which will help teach you to copy existing cells or place walls, for your own.

Not available for console games, unfortunately, but if you have PC it can be a lot of fun.
