Yay! I'm kinda feeling Tristan! I'll go get a post up as soon as I can, probably late tonight or late tomorrow. Been pretty busy recently. Hopefully I can hurry his first job along so he can join the others at home base for the first time.

I'm aiming to post in the next few days :)

A very good ploy, Del. If I may make a note about Sheor, to maybe allow for a better understanding and thus a more interesting character, I should note that he's not just any god of chaos, but he's the Altmeri view of Lorkhan as a trickster with the Nordic imagery of Shor. He's also acknowledged by the Bretons but generally not worshipped, so it allows for a unique dimension to Tristan: he willingly worships a god that most Bretons believe trapped them in Mundus. Just pointing that out, because I think it makes Tristan quite sinister.

Also, Del, remember we're meeting back where you were guided by the map, not reporting to HQ. :)

plops, ok. It's been so long, I don't even remember. I'll edit the post so he's heading back to the remote location.

Are there some things I can read or whatever to educate myself more on Sheor, or Breton religion is general, OP?

There's not a whole lot really on Sheor or Breton religion in general, but I'll find a few links to stuff that talks about Lorkhan and Shor, since Sheor is basically an elven perspective on the Nordic mythology.

Yeah, I kinda figured there wasn't a whole lot of information on Sheor, I found that out rather quickly when I was originally making Tristan's CC.

Here's a story that gives insight into how everyone (but the Bretons :p) view Lork: www.reddit.com/r/teslore/comments/1j3c5x/the_noisy_serpent_loves_his_war_speech/

And here's one about Shor that's a bit opaque, but should be helpful: http://www.imperial-library.info/content/shor-son-shor-full

And for a TL;DR on Sheor: everyone in TES wants divinity pretty much. Before Mundus, everyone was doing pretty good, but Shor/Lork thought that they could do better if only they would go down to go up, or that is, become mortals to better understand how to rise above where they were before as spirits. Depending on who you ask, Shor devised Mundus as the Arena where mortals would learn to understand divinity, or where they would be locked out of their state as Ada. The difference between Shor and Lork is largely that Shor is thought of as a badass Nord and pretty much every culture but the Dunmer who call Lork 'Lork' thought he was a real dick. So therefore, Sheor is a badass Nord who just wants to mess up everyone's day.

Alright, thanks. I've been kinda improvising in regards to Sheor and how Tristan acts in relation to him, but I guess I've been doing alright, with Tristan carrying out Sheor's bidding by simply causing chaos through assassination and thievery. At least now I know I'm playing the part right, heh.

It's also kind of interesting, because from what I've gathered, Sheor/Shor/whatever the hell doesn't really care about the specifics of the chaos being caused, but only cares that chaos is indeed being caused, while Tristan doesn't quite understand that, and feels that he needs approval before carrying out any act of chaos, figuring that only certain or specific acts are allowed. That leaves room for Tristan to grow in his faith, and perhaps at some point, he finally reaches the understanding that all his god wants is unhindered chaos, which changes his entire perspective.

AS88, I've been thinking about the interaction between Jax and Gattuso. I know we intended them to have a sort of tense rivalry/partnership but based on their conversation so far they seem to be quite friendly...you know, in a sociopathic sort of way. Kindred spirits perhaps.

So do you want to perhaps revisit their relationship and we can let them have a mutual respect and tenuous comradeship or should we push them down a more antagonistic route?

    mutual respect and tenuous comradeship.

I thought this was the way we were going? Although neither of them really seem to like each other much, they get on for the sake of business (and actually do like each other, sort of). Gattuso trusts Jax, as far as I've been writing him, but their personalities make them so neither of them would be high-fiving and playing dominoes together :p

Can you imagine if they did hi-five? It would be both hilarious and disturbing at the same time.

But yeah I see what you mean, I think I'd forgotten how we'd chosen to approach it so I just wanted to double check. It's been so long since we started this, some things are easy to forget :p

Didn't realise this had been revived, I'm glad it has. I see I did get subtly kicked, but that's fine, Daud was unoriginal anyway. And poorly executed and planned out by me.

Very interesting read, good luck guys. Hope it stays alive.

I want to join. I have roleplayed in some MMORPGs, but never on a site like this. Here's my character card.

    Full Name- Codus Qintin

    Sex-Male

    Age- 22

    Race- Imperial

    DoB- 17th of Last Seed, 4E 179

    Class- Archer

    Religion- The Eight Divines

Residence- He lives in an unnamed house in Riften.

Codus wants to stay neutral in the war

Codus is a tall man with short, reddish-brown hair. He has stubble on his chin. He is fairly muscular, and has a scar on his cheek from a fight with a bear.

Codus wears no armor, as he prefers speed and agility over protection and strength. He carries a hunting bow and a quiver of steel arrows, along with an iron war axe and iron dagger. He also has a knapsack to keep basic items like food and drink.

Thanks for showing interest, just wondering if you could perhaps embellish on your character?

So for example what are Codus's motivations behind joining the company?

Codus's reason for wanting to join is very simple. Adventure, coin, and a chance to display his skill. (Hope that's good enough lol. I'm pretty new to this)
