Just made a new khajiit. His name is do'qa (pronounced- do-ka) according to lore his name means unknown theif.

What are your characters names and what do they mean?

Ps. Permission to make up meanings granted.

Mister Freeze
Gr'mer - Khajiit orphan raised as a 'pet' by a small Bosmer clan that killed his parents. They came up with the name as a combination of the first snarl from his lips when they found him after the slaughter and the term 'mer' as a mocking reminder that he was inferior. Needless to say, it did not bode well for them to antagonize their kitty. . .
He was actually my first character in Skyrim.

Drayven - Dark Elf descendent of (and named for) the famous thief/nightingale, Drayven Indoril. He was on a quest to learn about his Grandfather's secrets. Turns out, Karliah is his half-sister. It was quite the family reunion...Mercer wasn't invited on account of being dead. Mostly, pulled what I needed from here: The Nightingales Vol. 2

The rest (10-20) were just meaningless names generally acquired on the fly.

Well first of all let me just say I have a few different characters. Due to an intense case of re-rollitis, if I didn't I would never finish with one character. So.
My Khajiits name is Do'isa. It translates to "ice warrior". My Orsimmers name is Andromeda - this is because the story of Andromeda relates closely to her backstory. I just thought it fit and was a neat name besides.
My Altmers name is Wren Mnemosyne. It essentially translates to "dark memory". Again, it's related to her backstory.
And finally my Bosmers name is Serah Estiph. Her first name translates to lady of song, scent, the morning star; also translates to a weapon or piece of armor in the literal sense. In the Bible, there was a woman named Serah married to Jacob who she lived an adventurous, nomadic life with.
Estiph, if I remember correctly, translates to staff or some such. But mostly it's just her last name or family name.

Have made a few new characters since I posted this, so I'm updating this post. :p

My Khajiits name is Gypsy Moon. Was originally going to be Gypsy Amaris, which means "traveler child of the moon", but I messed up her appearance and had to do her over again. So, wanting to differentiate the two, I renamed her Gypsy Moon. Just think of it as meaning the same thing. :)

Then there is my Dunmer, named Ianthe Tinúviel, which translates to "purple nightingale" or "purple night flower". If you can't already tell she's going to be a Vampire Lord. :D

And finally my Nord, Nymeria. It's a reference to Arya Stark's wolf Nymeria and the warrior queen Nymeria in Game of Thrones. Nymeria will be a werewolf and also have hunting dogs to help her in human form. :)

Character,, hmmmm, , well i have made hundreds of characters, mostly as experiments to see were certain scenarios take me etc, however my Main characters after that have always had serious names according to its main traits, the way i then pick the name is because i can speak Malay i use the translation of an English word into Malay and it usually gives me a good Name or Word to use.
For example.

Sneaky khajiit character his name is Ghaib, which is Malay for unseen.

Pure mage Elf her name is Sihir Putih, which is Malay for white witch, and my conjuration mage his name is Sihir Gelap, dark witch.

and my Orc warrior her name is Gigi Panjang, which actually means 'long tooth' in Malay, and i have a few others as well.

My current character's name is Grímhildr(Grim-hil-der), which is the Norse cognate of Kriemhild(Kreem-hilt). The meaning of the name is "Mask Battle", Kriemhild was a heroine of a German saga called 'Nibelungenlied', which is quite and intresesting thing to read if you get the chance and understand German. At the moment, I am getting the Masque of Clavicus Vile so that I can live up to my names meaning and battle enemies with my mask on so no one knows my true identity.

All my builds are named Mike Honcho and it means that I've probably seen Talladega Nights too many times.

Depends on my mood. I've been a Nord with traditional Nord name, like Falknar Swiftarm. I've been a Khajiit named Fluffy, and a dark elf named Flekrad.

When in doubt, follow the fox.
On my first character, my cat walked across my keyboard and ended my attempt to name my character, so she was Prisoner her whole life! I'm really bad at making names for my characters. My son's current character is named "Frankie." I like that one.

Solana. Just tried to come up with something different. I'm so bad at naming characters, I resort to looking up character names from previous TES games.

For my new Wood Elf character I called him Asher. He is an Archer so I wanted still clear of over used names like Legolas. Of course I didn't want to call him Archer either. For some reason I thought of ash as wood burning. So with Ash and the Her from Archer I dropped on H and viola. Asher.

My main character was a Nord named Isara Snow-Song. Isara is a Celtic name that means "bright river" & it's also the title of one of my favorite songs. And Snow-Song is just a Nord clan name that I thought sounded cool. :)
