Invisibility WITHOUT sneaking

Hey guys,

just wanted to know whether it's possible to cast muffle + invisibility and just walk by enemies, without crouching to 'sneak', and not be detected.

I want to play an illusion character, and I just thought that these two spells should be an alternative for sneaking...

I've googled it, but only complaints about invisibility or sneak not working came up.

Thanks in advance.

Muffle improves your sneaking by allowing you to move more quietly, enemies will still see you if you're in their line of sight; but you are still much harder to detect

Invisibility makes you completely invisible, enemies can't see you even if you are in their line of sight and it doesn't matter if you're sneaking or not

The "moves silently" description that appears on Muffle items is not entirely accurate; Muffle provides a multiplier equal to (1 - Total_Muffle_Magnitude) to your total worn armor weight when calculating the noise made by armor, meaning at a magnitude of 1.0+ your armor makes no noise whatsoever. All muffle effects stack additively. Values over 1.0 have no additional benefit

When both invisible and completely muffled (muffle magnitude of 1.0 or more) you are undetectable to most enemies to the point that you can even walk, run, sprint, and jump around in front of hostile NPCs without being noticed.

Sorry for the black text. I just copied/pasted from the source link and it didn't work how I expected. Just hit the link and you can see with a "muffle magnitude of 1.0" you can indeed walk, run and jump around in front of enemies while invisible and they will not detect you. :)
