The Fateless One
This happened to me last night where my Nord shield-maiden first set foot to the island of Solstheim after being attacked by two cultists. It was a long voyage and we docked around midnight. Quickly navigating to the inn, I rented a room and indulged from the food stocked in the journey. I was about to retire to bed and decided to strip (drop) the armor that was growing heavy by the minute as fatigue was getting the best of me.

Later I woke up, apparently sleepwalked to the mountains and found myself chipping on a worship stone with a pickaxe! An otherworldy voice (Miraak) subjected not only I, but some denizens who are also toiling on a nearby temple.

This was a new experience to me and my character awoke from disenchantment with only her undergarments in the middle of nowhere. Imagine the scandal that it must have left upon the impression upon the Dunmer and the Skaal. Ah the unwitting consequence of roleplay.:D

Good times, eh? I too always strip my armor off before retiring for the night. I quickly learned to sleep in pants and a tunic on Solsthiem instead of just my smallclothes. Lucky for me, my loyal husband (who was suspiciously unaffected by everything) would quickly come running with all of my gear.

Indeed! One of the quirky but memorable experience in skyrim to date. I travel alone most of the time, and this happened too during the start of the dark brotherhood quest.:D

Waking up in a cabin, wearing only your skivvies, with Astrid hovering over you? That sounds like the start of a bad horror movie. Or...a different sort of movie.

And still slightly less creepy than waking in the light of day to find yourself mostly naked and engaged in some sort of stonework, surrounded by enthralled, chanting weirdos.

I sleep in my armor

I learned better now from my experience with the darkbrotherhood and solstheim. I just unequip and pretend to tuck away as per roleplay.

Haha! I carried that mannerism over my adventures in Skyrim. I just use unequip now instead of drop or storing in the chest provided by most inns.

You actually undress before going to sleep in the game? Such a thing has never even occurred to me. Sometimes I run around in my loincloth just to get a rise out of the local citizenry. Aela saw me that way, and her comment was something like, "That's interesting." Indeed it is, Aela. Indeed it is. Farkas was more direct, and said, "Uh, you don't have any clothes on. You need to get some." Thank you Farkas, that's good advice. So I got some.

Farkas is good and to the point that way. He's kinda the Norm Peterson of Skyrim.

It's better than the children yelling " Naked naked naked!" The whole time! :)

I always strip when I give Malborn all my gear before the Thalmar Embassy quest. I strut around the Winking Skeever in my smallclothes, inciting various comments from the patrons. Then calmly stroll down to meet Delphine at the stables.
