Okay, I have seen plenty of "top ten worst things about skyrim, so let's start naming what we like. I will start.

You don't run through a dungeon like a bada** killing in seconds only to have a cutscenes hit and a stop you.

1. Every Dungeon is different.
2. The massive open world.
3. A lot of NPC's have personality.
4. The ability to become a Werewolf or Vampire Lord.
5. Many different ways to play and enjoy the game.
6. Almost impossible to really 'beat' the game.
7. Good graphics.
8. Flowing battle system.
9. 1st person OR 3rd person.
10. A complex and well thought-out Lore and History surrounding the entire Elder Scrolls series.

For me, the positives far out-weigh the negatives.

I agree with what the Irishman said for one thing. The other things I like about Skyrim are: being able to make whatever kind of character you want - regardless of race (you're not locked into one default type by whichever race you pick like a lot of other RPGs I've played; love that), the ability to buy a house or just live in a cabin in the woods if you like (or basically any other building that has a bed roll), the ability to ride a horse, being able to hunt if you want, being able to explore - and getting rewarded for doing so 9 times out of 10. I mean I could go on and on about all the things I like about Skyrim for hours on end, but these are just some of them. :)

I like the Dungeons too, some were pretty creepy.

When in doubt, follow the fox.
The fact that no matter how many times you emerge from Helgen, your experience is always different.

OK, I'll do my positives...

1) Followers, and lots of 'em
2) same sex marriage - thank the gods my character doesn't have to be straight, 'cos all those Nordic men are fit
3) Alchemy lets you make use of plants, so all those flowers and fungi aren't just pretty scenery, they have gameplay functions
4) random item placements making every new game different
5) the fact that ALMOST every activity you do gives you some sort of experience, not just combat based stuff
6) no deadlines or time restrictions, so i can play at my own pace
7) Hearthfire - I love my greenhouse and stewards
8) Books on every subject - from history and legends, to personal diaries and research notes
9) Killing animations make victory taste sweeter
10) You can never run out of things to do

My favorite thing about Skyrim is that there are endless ways to play the game, so you can play over and over and over again and still enjoy it.

I like the Thieves cloak you get Nightingale? I feel really stealthy when I wear it.

The best thing about Skyrim? That moment. That sweet sweet moment when you stop. Wheel back into third person view, pan around and realize that nothing..Nothing has its original texture or model as far as the eye can see.

Not your armor, or weapons, or spells. Not your home or followers. Certainly not your character model or beautiful face. Not he clouds, or the sun. Not the cities or the mountains. The grass, fungi or flowers. Not even the load screens. The light of madness is in your eyes as you clutch the keyboard and throw your head back. You laugh. You laugh a laugh that makes those around you uncomfortable.

Then you go see what new mods are available.

I guess the best thing about Skyrim is that you can change just about anything you don't like about Skyrim.
