It's a big hammer.
I never give negative ratings. Sometimes I wish we didn't have them. I like being able to rate agree, funny, informative, etc, etc. I like being able to like posts and give rep. But just really dislike the negative/neutral ones. I believe disagreeing is neutral, right?

I said he should fast travel, too. That's what I always do when I misplace my follower and 9/10 it works. Glad I avoided any negative ratings. And if you go back and give them to me now then you're just being vindictive!

LuChao, set your housecarls to "no die" and thereby eliminate death as a possibility.
Have a great day ColleenG.

I would do that except I on PS3

u have caused a pain to transcended time and space Talos suicided from it but Shadow Scale will never forget and will hunt u down and strike u down before u know he is there better watch ur back cause the shadow always gets his target.......

You can type words like 'Transcended' no problem but you can't even manage to type the word 'you'? That doesn't even make sense! I tried to read your post and ignore the godawful spelling and grammar and it still didn't make sense.

lol sorry for the spelling errors am used to text type when abbreviations are used plus wrote this post after a 3 day stretch of no sleep

I want to know when it became socially acceptable to be a brat when someone has offered suggestions, hints or whatever to help another out? When something someone has suggested doesnt work for you doesnt mean you have to disagree with that, it just simply means it didnt work for you, as with everything else there are other ways to find solution to a problem.

Disappearance of followers during my first play through ever on skyrim has put me off on having followers at all, however this is probably not the same with everyone else. What I do know about them is in the following....

Follower didnt show up when you fast traveled to somewhere the causes MIGHT BE but not limited to..

~you might have to backtrack to your last location with them and look for them, they could be stuck in something, they could of left with you when you exited the place and ended up running off to fight something (it happens all the time with horses)
~if you dont know where you ended up leaving them, continue on with your game, more so they could be alive if this is true EVENTUALLY they will become bored and leave your services and return home (watch the left corner of the screen travelers)
~like someone else has mentioned try hiring another follower if they refuse, they are alive if they follow then they are most likely dead or left your services and you might have not been paying attention to the corner cause of that dragon that swooped down and started breathing fire on you.

LASTLY... I believe that if Lydia dies her body would be in the whiterun hall of the dead... you might want to check the coffins to see

I had Vorstag disappear on me once when I was still playing on Xbox. I was able to have him inducted into the Blades even though he was nowhere to be seen, which freed up my follower slot. The next time I went to Skyhaven he was there in full Blades regalia, waiting for me to take him back on the road.

If you haven't found Lydia yet, and aren't on the outs with Delphine, this may be a solution for you.

I don't think it has become socially acceptable at all. Merely tolerated in situations where the consequences are negligible and the perpetrator seems unlikely to be swayed by reason, or by the expectation of appropriate behaviour.

What I find most unsettling here is that the person being disagreeable because suggestions didn't work, isn't even the person who asked for help. Just a driveby poster jumping into a thread and thumbing things down thst didn't work for him/her.

Ah well, if this is the worst we have to contend with here, we're in a pretty idyllic slice of the internet.

I personally just didn't think they needed to disagree with a suggestion that was made cause it didn't work for them, disagreeing would be saying CoD is an awful game and someone disagreeing with me cause they don't think so, when something doesn't work its not really in room for disagreement it's just didn't work for that person.

I believe we have, that is, Lydia and I, already dispensed with this "no die" phenom of delusion. Have we not?

Lydia can attest to this personally...

...

... She is a woman of few words.

..........Can I stress that "patience" is in order concerning any future input from Lydia?

..............

.....My words will clearly have to suffice.

I took lydia to ivaarstead and people started attacking so I went up the and she told me to run so I ran I went halfway up the mountain and she wasn't there so I went back down and I found her body she was dead so I put her body and armour in the river so I went to the inn and I overheard a guy saying that there was this girl murdered on the mountain by a bloody dagger so I followed him and stopped at a chopping block so I interrogated him and said something about narfi so I talked to narfi and found a bloody dagger next to him so I killed him and he had a helper named lynly in the inn after I killed him I found lynly and I killed her and ever since then I've been regretting taking lydia to Ivarstead.

I really loved her. But I had to kill her.

You weren't supposed to find out like this.

If it's any consolation, I crushed so many painkilling herbs into her Honningbrew Mead that my daggers probably felt like the toothpicks she asked me for after dinner. She thought she was drinking Ashfire Mead. Because I'm a liar. It will be my cross to bear, and it is heavy.

I have taken from you. And her. Yes. But I have also given. She is a far better warrior now than she ever was - even with the stiffness in her walk and her steadfast insistence on moaning instead of speaking. I don't deserve the gift of her words, I suppose. I accept that.

When her service is done, I will burn the body. The warmth from the fire will comfort children. And animals. She will spend her last minute loved by the townsfolk. Nurturing. Giving life. It is truly a time to rejoice.

You may wish to pursue me, and seek vengeance. I could never blame you. However, I am all out of Honningbrew. Fair warning - I owe you that.

Sincerely,

Dr. D'Irsei, D.D.S.
Why did you kill her.

Why did you kill her.

For her failure to recognise the sheer greatness of the Dovahkiin, for her failure to take delight in being in the service of such greatness, she deserved to die. Much like this thread does. ;)

Edit to add: This thread is the only one I've received negative ratings in. Though the recent forum upgrade has removed the evidence, I've borne the marks with some measure of pride - like a Purple Heart for injuries sustained being shelled whilst in the privvy, honoured by the distinction if not the manner it was received. :D

It is not correct. If you make a statement claiming something works and it doesn't, people tend to disagree with you and click the little disagree button.

"It didn't work, there must be something else going on"

Skyrim is a buggy pile of trash and full of bugs and glitches and fast-traveling doesn't fix the problem. From my experience there's nothing you can do but hope she shows up eventually. People around here seem so entitled, they act like people aren't allowed dissenting opinions and nobody can disagree with or down-vote stupid posts.

Your grammar is not great, either! You need to learn how to use commas, how to separate clauses, and learn to differentiate between the words 'and' and 'but'. Do not go around getting a hissy fit at a person's grammar if yours also sucks.
