How did YOU get to level 81?

It's easier to just use Resto Loop if you want to power level. 3-4 Levels every 5 seconds.

I give up. Exploits are cheating. Plain and simple. It's a cheat. I realize that you CAN do it in the game, but, there is no justification to do it and I do not believe it was the intention of the designers for you to do it. It is just plain wrong IMO. To each his own though. I only wish we would stop advising people to use this kind of thing on this forum. It just isn't right.

If exploiting is cheating... who is the victim? Where's the competition coming from? I wouldn't bother with the slippery slope of worrying about the implementation of other people's entertainment dollars if I were you. If this were a multi-player game, I would have the same opinion as you, but it's not. Some people like to use exploits, others don't. I think ketchup ruins a hot dog... do I have the right to judge you as being 'wrong' if you decide to use ketchup on a hot dog?

It's not your responsibility to police what kind of information gets passed here so let yourself off the hook and stop worrying about it.

Do not listen to him. Post your exploits and post them often. Half the people that complain about exploits are probably the worst closet offenders on here. Seriously, with Daelon it's either done in a way in which he agrees or it's pure s**t in his opinion and he will rail you with it constantly. Ask me how much I regret suggesting Fallout 3 to him...

Because it would take longer, if you just fast travel it takes only as long as your loading screen.

It is GroBenjii's goal to fight this legendary Ebony Warrior. He is currently Lv35 and has done very little real questing. He has circumnavigated Skyrim visiting the Orc strongholds and helping them out. He has become thane of Markarth and is currently doing all the side quests for the Dawnguard (have not been to the soul cairn or retrieved any of the Elder Scrolls yet). No other faction except the Bards College has been started.

I plan to do the MQ and Miraak questlines, Imperial Civil War, destroy DB and perhaps the Companions (although I dislike them and don't want to be a Werewolf but it fits with my character being a warrior and sort of mercenary all ready).

I am currently levelling ALL warrior combat skills (heavy and light armour, one and two handed, block, archery), also uses restoration as he is Meridia's Champion and despises undead and he has maxed out smithing and nearly enchanting. Speech is easy to level with enchant and smithing.

It's a slow but enjoyable process and is the first heavily roleplayed character that I feel I can stick with to level 81 or more. I think being a 'helpful' character and not fast traveling is the key to picking up levels outside of quests and helps you build a relationship with your character.

Totally agree on the no fast travel thing. Seems like something is always getting leveled one way or another. Eliminating fast travel is a great way to build a balanced character imo.

Absolutely. I do take the wagons/ferries, though. I've read that when some people say "no fast travel" they mean them as well. Not me. I'm paying for their service, so I feel like it's legit.

Oh pl*ps yeah! I definitely take the wagons and ferries. I'm all for wandering around and planning my journey so I'm not walking halfway across the map to make a little delivery than walk back. I don't have all day to spend walking from the Dawnguard Fortress to Solitude so the wagons are a fair compromise imo. Although I really do enjoy the walk so it's not rare for me to walk from Riften to Windhelm or something like that. My character sleeps (and drinks) most nights at an Inn so I plan my journey around that as well.

Trust me even with 1.9 it still works. I'm guessing that you're using a different version of Skyrim. Anyway if you're serious about learning how to do it then PM me.

Trust me even with 1.9 it still works. I'm guessing that you're using a different version of Skyrim. Anyway if you're serious about learning how to do it then PM me.

I think your alchemy has to be at a certain level (50?) before you can really build. I tried on the last play through, wanted to do up a super unarmed set, but couldn't get it to work. I tried again later, with a bit more alchemy skill, and it worked like a charm. Did it the same way both times.

Alchemy needs to be at least 40 with three points in the first perk for it to work. Also the alchemy gear helps quite a bit.

I went and earned my level 81!

.....Okay, I sat in the Bannered Mare and cast Harmony for a couple minutes. But at the rate my mage was leveling it would have been ages otherwise. Besides, everyone in the inn didn't mind a crazy Dunmer flinging things everywhere with his mystical green hands of powa.
