What do you think the first DLC will be? What do you want it to be? I think they should incorparate dragon riding..........

PLEASE DON'T EAT THOSE SOCKS!
My mind reels at the thought of DLC for this game... after 170 hours, I don't really feel like I'm closing in on the "end" of this game... :D

If anything, I would like to see patches first, fixing the smaller annoyance-type glitches. Quests mainly. Give me the ability to drop and/or reset a quest and I'm happy.

Far as DLC really goes, I've heard Vvardenfell and Cyrodil are in the game already, just behind clipping planes. I would KILL to go back to the lands of Morrowind and Oblivion. And what else? Why not Hammerfall and Elswyr. :) Screw it I want it all, all of Tamriel!

To be honest, I'd be happy with an excellent house. One that has all of the smithing/enchanting/alchemy tables. And lots of storage containers and bookshelves (I've been collecting books, I hope to get every one in the game haha)! That would be good for starters. Then, I'd like a large 'different area' DLC that extends gameplay.

probably a new land to explore with its own main quest, just like Shivering Isle for Oblivion and all fallout DLC's. where? I don't know. possibly another oblivion realm? I hope it's not a province of Tamriel though. I prefer that as a whole separate game instead of having it as a DLC quality

While I agree with your point, Bethesda did state they want the DLCs for TESV to be epic, not "horse armor" in quality. Imagine a 5Gb download for Elswyr DLC, basically the same size as Skyrim... that would be tops in my book. :)

I love the fallout recipe for DLC. New places with new faces.
Mothership Zeta = Aliens in Space
Operation Anchorage = Chinese communists in Alaska
Point Lookout = Rednecks in some Bayou town in Maryland
Honest Hearts = Tribals in the Grand Canyon
Dead Money = Radiated boogeymen in a Cali Casino town
there are more but you get the point.

Oblivion's shivering isles was a huge success in terms of DLC. It was a new world that played by the same rules as Cyrodiil and the transition was quite smooth between the two. I was engrossed for quite some time exploring the quirks and history of this realm. Knights of the Nine was pointless; it was simply an add-on to the existing region of Cyrodiil. I didn't even waste time trying to get that plopsty armor it may as well have been another patch that just went unnoticed by me. Morrowind's Bloodmoon and Tribunal were also major wins for TES.

To put it simply, what I want to see is a new region to explore independent of Skyrim ^_^ As for its contents, I would like to see spears come back under the two handed category and some throwing weapons for goodness sakes!

It would also be nice to have some more in depth encounters with these Thalmor folk I see and hear about so much.

In relationship with Skyrim.
To be honest, I want some variety in the dragons. Frost and Fire are too bland to be constantly battling. I want to see:
- Poison dragons. A lot smaller than fire and frost dragons, although they are a lot more nimble and fight primarily on ground. They do not breathe any sort of element but primarily bite and slash at enemies. When in the air they swoop down and pick up their prey.
- Shock dragons. Relatively same size as frost and fire dragons, although their skin texture is a lot different. Electricity is flowed through their body like a current, and is seen on the surface of their skin. Instead of breathing to attack long range they use their tail to direct their natural flow of electricity.
I could think of many more, but my mind isn't quite up to it.

Dude that would be awesome!

Hmmmm.... Oblivion is out of the question. The passage between oblivion and nirn was destroyed/lost in the oblivion crisis. Morrowind however is an interesting option for dlc! Now that it has been emptied out and effectively resurfaced from the volcanic eruption, they could easily take an alien realm near and dear to so many TES followers and give it a complete overhaul without having to devote an entire game to it. Great thought!
