TheEvilQueen

Dunmer Fangirl
I've been writing down everything about my new dunmer character I'm making and I decided that because of her own passions she limits herself to only using Dwemer equipment. That got me to thinking, has anyone else made such decisions about their characters?

I will not tolerate failure...
Elven Characters that I have made tend to only use Elven Equipment and Vice versa, My vampire Lord will mainly only use his Vampiric Powers in Combat unless he is Fighting a Dragon then he will use Shouts or his Vampire Lord Form

I could never make a vampire but I love to read the lore about them ^_^

Every one of my characters has developed their own quirks. My current character collects clothes. He has every kind, and every day after work he takes off his armor and puts on some clothes. And like some people whom I will not mention here, if he doesn't like what he's wearing, he casually casts it off and puts on something else. He's also developed a preference for a Daedric sword, which is not as powerful as some swords I've seen but he likes it, so, that's the only sword he carries.

Oh, also, he is the illegitimate love child of Ulfric Stormcloak and Leggete Rikke, which made for some uncomfortable conversation, and a lot of staring on his part, from Ulfric to Rikke, and back to Ulfric, and back to Rikke, when the Stormcloaks overtook Castle Dour.

Suriah collects books. Not just the readable books you can plug into a bookshelf, but every book. Ruined books, burned books, all of them. As well as every scrap of paper and stick of charcoal she can find.

She's interested in the preservation of knowledge, and enjoys restoring old books for her personal collection.

My brother's character, Ji'Ju, must eat one of every ingredient he's going to use, every time he's going to use it, in the belief (character belief, not player belief) it will reveal further secrets about its uses, and imbue him with power. Ji'Ju, understandably, suffers from many abnormalities as a result of this practice.

One time I ate an ingredient and fell down flat on my back. Something from Solstheim, I believe. It took me about 30 seconds to recover!

Jurgarik Greycloak

Techno master of Tamriel.
I have a necromancer character who will not raise Draugr. IF I do not have the soul cairn spell on him, he cannot raise the dead in tombs. Mostly for RP, in that he wants to try to stop the ancient dead from rising again. Recent dead are fair game, however.

My Dunmer assassin will not wear clothing or armor that he finds (especially anything on a dead body! eww), but will pick them up to disenchant or to sell. In addition, besides some houses, associated improvements and a two horses (he got fed up up of the stolen ones going back home and leaving him up some snowy mountain, then the first one was permanently slowed by some ice magic) he's not bought anything - all items have been collected either legally or otherwise.

The buying things may change as he's recently discovered magic and needs a few spells.

Kalin of High Rock

Faal Lun Vahdin
My current character is Aryis Sadras. A battle-priestess of The Tribunal sent to Skyrim to collect daedric artifacts. Both of the revered Anticipations (Boethiah, Azura and Mephala) and those of the hated Corners of The House of Troubles (Sheogorath, Molag Bal, Mehrunes Dagon and Malacath).

Though her actions may seem to aid the cursed daedra of The House of Troubles, it is ultimately the dunmer people who will benefit when their foul "gifts" are forever locked away in the vaults of Blacklight. The divine blessings of The Anticipations will also be returned to Blacklight. To serve as relics of the faith and to boost the spirits of her people.

She also has to stop and bust up any followers of The House of Troubles that cross her path. Especially vampires. Often orcs, if they get mouthy. She has little patients for madmen or necromancers.

Kind of a dark-elf version of a Vigilant of Stendarr, bringing the wrath of Saint Almalexia down on the heads of heretics all over the province.

I made a character just to make the wife mad.

Imperial Woman named TW. TW stands for Typical Woman and I picked Imperial because of the ability to find extra gold stashed away. She collected clothes, jewelry, gems, and money. She would only use weapons appeasing to the eye (like dawnbreaker or glass weapons). My wife kind of thought it was funny until she said are you not going to up her sneak. I told her no because women nag and complain non-stop so there were no way they would be sneaky. I abandoned this after level 18 when it was just no longer fun or funny.

I made a wood elf that was a archery fanatic that changed his name to Vane (stabilizing fin of an arrow) after he discovered his love for archery. Collected all the bows he could find along with arrows, then once dawnguard came out he was able to collect crossbows and bolts. You can only imagine his joy when they updated the game to where you could make your own arrows. I even made him to where he was so obsessed with archery that he learned magic just to be able to use the bound bow (partial because he was so stingy with his collection he could use the bound bow and never loose any arrows.

I have Merlin my mage. Only wears robes or clothes. Strictly magic only for combat. Collects clothes and robes, jewelry that has been enchanted to boost magic or magic abilities. Also collects scrolls, staffs, and spell books.

How do you backstab a Dragon?
My current 100+ character has never and will never drink alcohol, not since her little encounter with Sam. She's even mean to the alcoholic beggers. Whenever she encounters one she spams them with fear to make them go away.

DestroyerDevourMaster

"Zu'u Alduin. Zok sahrot do naan ko Lein!"
My character collects books too, and probably won't stop until he has at least one copy of every collectible tome in Skyrim.

GroBenjii is a chronic alcoholic that has developed quite severely as time passes. He stops into every nearby Inn and drinks at least 4beers/ales. He always has a black briar reserve on him and will drink it if he finishes an exceptional mission. His wife Borgakh loves wine and always has 3wines in her inventory.

They work hard. They party harder

My main character, a necromancer/conjurer named Edwyn, has a "thing" for Dwemer items. On my Xbox 360 save (no longer have Xbox 360 Skyrim, sadly), he had accumulated an extremely large collection of Dwemer artifacts. I unleashed them all once, and they flooded the first floor of Hjerim and froze the game. The way he accumulated this was by having 2 dead thralls and a follower tag along. When he and his follower reached the carry limit, he would kill a dead thrall and store items on them.

Ariella hates magic. No casting spells, not even enchanted items, save for a silver locket she carries that can heal injuries, which she only uses in the most dire emergencies (can't actually make this in Skyrim, as jewelry can only hold a constant effect enchantment, so she just wears a normal silver necklace). She only associates with mages when absolutely necessary.

She also will not use any weapons/armor that she didn't smith herself, because she doesn't trust the craftsmanship of people she doesn't know. She also collects every ingot and piece of ore she comes across, even if it's of a type of metal she doesn't use.

It's a big hammer.
I had a character that wouldn't use anything better than steel. Ancient Nord Armor and Skyforge Steel weapons, if I recall.

Almost all of my characters find it rude to wear their helmets/head gear in towns, especially walled towns.

Magic, too, is usually frowned upon. I don't even use restoration to heal. I go with the idea that a true Nord knows how to use ingredients found in nature to make a basic healing potion. I used to go with the logic that every good warrior must know a healing spell. I like the potion idea better, though.

I've had lots of little weird things over the course of my Skyrim career. Had a female that would only have female followers. The last character was an assassin of sorts that would only use glass arrows for any big assassination. If you've done the Dark Brotherhood questline... then any major kill in that was done with glass arrows. Otherwise, the character wouldn't use them at all, they'd use whatever they had on them. Had a character that collected any and all circlets they found during their travels. All of my characters hord alcohol and periodically drink a crap ton of it whenever they've accomplished something or if they just feel like relaxing with their favorite person.
