    A chill breeze blows around,
    You think you hear laughter,
You look around you, there is nothing there
But as you look over your shoulder
You see a dark figure move towards you,
You can't seem to move your legs to run away,
Your voice is trapped in your throat,
Frozen in fear you stand there feeling helpless,
You close your eyes and open them again
    The figure is gone,
    Did you imagine this?
You stand there a few moments before turning around,
And as you do the figure is standing there, much closer,
As you make out the lower half of there face,
An evil grin and greenish yellow glow of eyes stare at you
    From underneath the moonlit night,
A chill runs down your spine,
The figure laughs in a creepily manner,
    Before you can blink
They bring their blade across your neck,
Silencing you and leaving you to choke on your blood,
And as the light begins to fade into dark,
Your body feeling cold, you feel your legs moving towards a sound
You hear the laughter from within the dark,
And males voice calls out to you

He was down by the river, splashing water on his face and on his hair, a low growl came from the tree line in front of him, looking up the nords eyes scanned the trees looking for the source of the growl. "Hello?" he called out, grabbing his sword making him feel a little safer. "Hello?!" his voice became rougher and more stern, he held his sword in front of him, walking through the low running river he made his way across and towards the trees. "Who's ever there better show themselves!" another growl came from the tress along with a pair of glowing yellowish green eyes. The nord started shouting at the pair of eyes, thinking it was just a regular Tamriel wolf.

He moved closer towards the trees ignoring his gut feeling to turn around and run back to the village that was just over the hill, "Nords are not scared of anything, we don't fear death", the growling turned into a loud snarl "Come at me foul beast!" he started to hit the hilt of his sword on his armor. He was standing right in front of the tree line when a dark shadow leaped out at him causing him to stumble backwards, jumping to his feet he turned around to see a beast with black fur and white paws staring back at him at least 30 feet away "Werewolf" he eyes widen "Your head will look perfect above my fireplace beast!" the werewolf walking on all fours just snarled and growled at him coaxing him to attack.

The nord and the werewolf started to walk around in a circle, staring one another down "I'll be a hero when I bring your hide back to the village! The wenches will love me!" it seemed as the werewolf was laughing at him, the nord charged the beast as so it did towards the nord. The two collided together, the nord getting a slice on the beasts arm, letting out a whelp, the werewolf ran into the nord knocking him down and took off running into the woods. The nord ran after the werewolf "COME BACK HERE BEAST! YOU COWARD".

She came running out of the forest running, looking behind her she knocked into the nord causing them both to fall on the ground and rolled into the river, the nord was trying to gather his thoughts but was distracted by the half naked female on him. He jumped to his feet, pulling her with him, he shoved her behind him "Lass you shouldn't be out here" she grabbed his arm, she started looking him up and down "Please save me, I was attacked by a wild wolf in there, I was just cutting through to get to the village" he looked over his shoulder, his eyes lingering longer than they should have "Getting a nice view?" she smiled at him "Im going in there and slaying that beast" he pulled away from her his sword drawn and started for the woods, she reached out quickly grabbing his arm "Im coming with, I need to see this beast dead for myself"

The two started walking through the forest, she walked one step behind him as he lead them further into the thick forest, the smell of wet dirt and leaves stuck to the air like thick butter "The moon hangs in the night in a strange manner with a reddish pink ring around it" the leaves crunched from under them "Yet its dark as the Void" her voice started to get in a low growl like a wolf, the nord stopped in his tracks, she came up from behind him "Do you see it?" she whispered in his ear, his free hand reached behind him and touched her thigh "Shh I think its near".

Standing there the only sound they heard was the wind rustling the leaves "I wounded the beast, got a good slice on its arm" he sheathed his sword and walked back towards her, he gently grabbed her arm, from behind the little light that showed through the canopy of the trees she could see him giving her a goofy nord grin at her "Let say we go back to the village and let me fix you up" he gave her a goofy smile at her and started to rub up and down her arm, he stopped suddenly when felt a warm wet feeling on her arm, pulling back, looking down at the crimson color, he looked up at her as she started to shift into the beast he was hunting "By the divines! It was you!" he shouted, he tried to sheath his sword but before the blade could make it out, she was on top of him, digging her fangs into his neck.

Nothing was left of the nord, as she finished tearing him apart, walking back to the river she laid next to it licking her paws clean of blood. She started to thrash around, the fur falling from her skin, her teeth going back to normal, the only thing staying the same was her yellowish green eyes, her howls started to turn into screams as her body turned back. Her fingers dug into the wet dirt by the river, as she tried ti control her breathing "By the Sithis" splashing water on herself. "That nord was tasty though" she giggled to herself as she started for the small village over the hill. Grabbing her gear from a tree stump along the way.

10 septiums dropped on the taverns counter, she leaned over smiling sweetly at the handsome imperial behind it "one room for the night please" smiling back "Right this way Lass" as he lead her to her room for the night. The room filled with darkness, closing her eyes and laying perfectly still, she was out. A voice started calling out to her, a familiar voice, one shes heard in her dreams before "my child..." she saw red eyes glowing in the dark "... my child... there are others..." the voice was of a womans with a raspy hiss "... Bruma ... go to Bruma in the temple... come my child... you and your siblings... bring fear and darkness back... Honor me... Honor your Dark Lord".

Abnormal screams could be heard coming from a cave. Inside the cave, two figures were standing in front of an Imperial man, stripped except for his undergarments, who was chained to a wall. Inside the man were multiple daggers, specifically placed to cause intense pain without killing the man. "Come now, friend. There's no reason you need to keep going through this pain." Do'Graes said, keeping an eye on both his prisoner and companion. "All we need to know is where you stashed it, and we can all go our separate ways." The Imperial man spat at the Khajiit, hitting his face. "Screw you cat! I don't take orders from something that belongs on my floor as a rug!" Do'Graes smiled as he wiped the spit off his face. "A brave but foolhardy move, my friend. Go ahead Zigzag." The breton girl smiled as she unsheathed one of her many daggers and stuck it into the man's ribcage.

The man screamed again in pain. He shouted until he ran out of breathe and his face turned red. The pain was becoming too much. He needed to find a way out of this pain. "Please girl. Stop this! A woman as beautiful as you can't possibly be so twisted as to do something like this. This thing is corrupting you!" Do'Graes raised an eyebrow, curious to see how his companion would react. Zigzag stared at the guy for a couple seconds, burst out laughing. "This man must be desperate indeed to save his own skin if he's trying to hit on his torturer." She said, holding another dagger. She really didn't want to talk to this scum, but it was obvious Do'Graes' polite behavior wasn't getting them anywhere. Now that she thought about, she began to think Do'Graes was purposely acting like this to see how she'd react. She'd have to make sure to get some payback later. But for now, they had a job to do.

"Tell you what scum. You seem like an honest, smart man." Zigzag said, leaning close to the man. The man nodded his head rapidly, wanting to end this torture. "Handsome too. Bet you laid with a lot of ladies when you went to the taverns." The man, unsure of where this conversation was going, slowly nodded. "I....I guess so." "Good." Zigzag quickly went in front of the man and smashed her fist against the covered privates of the man, smacking it against the wall and getting a high pitched squeal from the man. Holding the cloth that covered the man's groin against the wall, she brought her other hand down, holding her dagger in the hand. "So unless you want me to cut off your most valuable asset, which if I may say myself is a bit undersized for my liking, and force feed it to you, I suggest you tell us where you hid it. Now!" Zigzag shouted, pushing the dagger against his groin. The man squealed again, shouting about a secret passage that's opened by a nearby switch, his voice a few octaves higher than normal.

Do'Graes wasn't smiling, but he was definitely going to laugh about this later. This would make a fine tale to tell in a tavern during their travels. Leaving Zigzag to collect her daggers from the man, the Khajiit walked further down the cave finding the lever the man talked about. He pulled it down and looked to his left as a secret passage was revealed. In it was no items, but a young girl, no older than the age of 10. Her eyes were red and puffy, looking like she had just finished crying. "Who are you?" The girl said sobbing. "Come child. Your parents hired us to come bring you home." Do'Graes extended his arm to the girl, who held it and wouldn't let go while he walked back to Zigzag.

It didn't take long for the three to reach the girl's parents. They met them halfway back to the town, eager to see their missing daughter returned. "We can't thank you enough." The father said. "Business has been slow so I don't have a lot of coin, but I own the town's inn and you can use the rooms whenever you want." Zigzag opened her mouth to complain, as this wasn't part of the original deal but Do'Graes cut her off. "That would be fine, thank you." When they got to the inn, Zigzag stormed into their room and through her bag on the ground, changing out of her bloodstained armor into clothes to sleep in. Do'Graes did the same, trying to look at her, but she wouldn't meet his eyes. "You're mad." He said. Zigzag looked at him. "Do'Graes, we can't keep doing jobs for no money! I know you don't like taking money from poor folds but we're already low on supplies as it is, and I ran out of my elixir yesterday. If I don't buy more soon I'll-" Zigzag's voice cutout, a squeak coming from her mouth instead of the end of her sentence. Do'Graes couldn't help but chuckle at the sight. Enraged at this point, Zigzag stormed off towards the first bed, wrapping herself in the blanket and passed out. Feeling tired himself, Do'Graes approached the other bed and fell asleep as well, unaware of what would appear in both his and Zigzag's dreams that night.

    The Shogun of Gaming
Five days to Bruma, five more days till I find some answers. It was not a good dream, it was filled with sickening violence and a voice of someone he had hoped to never hear. She spoke of others and it wasn’t as comforting as he thought. I wonder if they will also have had the dream, he thought. He was a man with dark skin and a darker demeanor. His frizzy hair was puffed up into an afro, though anyone who would think to mock his choice of hairstyle would reconsider when they saw the blade he bore. Skilled hands turning his sword over his hands as he sat in the back of the wagon.

There were only a couple other people with him as the wagon made its way across the bumpy path. They seemed nervous about the simplely dressed man playing with such a fine sword. One Altmer sitting across from the dark skinned warrior in particular seemed to look at the blade with a flicker of recognition. But this one would never ask questions about it, nor would anyone else in this mercenary company. Every now and again someone would try to start a conversation with the quiet Red Guard in their midst. This time a younger mercenary piped up as the wagon bumped down the road.

“So where you the one who faced Natasha the Siren?”

“Yes. She happened to run into me in Whiterun and and I happened to take her head.” came the monotone answer, barely above a whisper. The young mercenary was surprised, for this may have been the longest sentence this swordsman had uttered in his presence.

    “So… What was she like?”

    “Fast, lightly armored.”

“No I mean… I heard her title came from her beautiful voice.”

    “Stands to reason…”

“No… Like I’ve heard things about her armor… and how much she brought to bear… All her talents…”

“Give it up, lad,” another man laughed. “He isn’t that type of man.”

“She relied on a gimmick… And all the exposed skin defeated the purpose of wearing armor,” Afuroc said, leaning his Blade’s sword hilt against his shoulder. He pulled out a small pipe, and with a snap of his fingers the strange substance in the pipe began to smoke. Taking a small puff, Afuroc sighed and stared off into the distance. He let out a small whisper, tendrils of smoke snaking out of his mouth. “But yes. Her voice was beautiful.”

The young man saw the way Afuroc’s eyes seem to glaze over, and fell silent. It was unnerving for many, such an apparently skilled warrior seemed to take part in such a thing like skooma. At least that is what they assumed it was, this was just another thing that no one wanted to risk starting trouble over. They all just averted their gaze as the sweet smoke danced around there nostrils. Afuroc leaned his head back and let out a small stream of smoke. His mind wasn’t as dulled as they thought, but it wasn’t necessarily all there either. The dream he had was haunting his thoughts. Something catastrophic must be happening within the Dark Brotherhood, Afuroc dreaded. So they are changing how things are done or I am marked as the new listener.

As Afuroc saw things his membership to the Dark Brotherhood was only a business relation at best. Yet he had the vision, and he was sure it wasn’t drug induced either. He had to wonder if he even cared anymore at this point. Afuroc had to admit it may have just been a change in the times. Fighter’s Guild has been running low on contracts, proof is in the emergence of other small mercenary groups like the one he was traveling with. With the ever looming threat of the Aldmeri Dominion,

He looked down his arms, at the light scars that seemed to dance across his ebony skin like lightning. Everyone he met assumed the scars were from hundreds of battles, but nothing could be farther from the truth. This one was from chopping wood, this one picking thistle, and another from working a forge. He made sure not to inhale the smoke that drifted out of his nostrils and mouth, the slow seeping wisps making his dark face appear even more demonic. The younger mercenary perked up, finally thinking of another question.

“So all those scars? How did you get them? Cause I bet they are from many fights, right?”

Even with the smoke relaxing Afuroc it took all his willpower not to groan. It would be a long ride to Bruma.

The sun sat low on the horizon its last dull light of the day casting dark shadows of the Imperial Bridge and White Gold Tower looming beyond it onto the cool dark mirror like surface of Lake Rumare. The cities guards stood at their posts like statues; most leaning against the high bleached walls they guarded doing their best to sleep standing up, leaving an air of silence hanging over the cobblestone street leading to the oversized city gates broken only by the crackle of freshly lit torches or occasional snore drifting on the wind. Approaching hooves sounding from across the bridge the guards stirred in their spots awaiting a glimpse of the rider emerging from the shadowy darkness. The hooves growing closer and closer the outline of a covered carriage became visible, its wagon master slumped to one side with his head tilted grotesquely back lulling from side to side with each bump of the carriages wooden wheels upon the hard stone. Startled by the sight the guards pulled swords and readied there halberds as the wagon passed the final shadowed arch of the bridge coming into full view. Revealing the hundreds of broken arrow shafts which pin cushioned the blood stained carriage giving it the appearance of a gore soaked porcupine dragging in its wake a leather clad corpse tangled tightly in the carriage ropes.

The beasts pulling the carriage were just as horrific; more dead than alive, eyes glowing like fire with bones protruding in a grizzly fashion though there thick skin which was torn to shreds by sword blows and riddled with arrows. How the two horses still stood, let alone pulled a carriage at full gallop was beyond anyone. Unnerved by the sight several guards took steps back in retreat as the horses came to a stop feet in front of the halberds held by four guards who blocked the path ahead. "What in oblivion is going on here?” The first of the guards blurted in a stunned voice surveying the nightmare that stood before him, the wagon masters eyes staring back at him in a frozen look of terror. Nobody answered except for the snort of one of the horses who impatiently stomped his feet on the ground as a rustling sound came from within the carriage before the door slowly opened sending a waterfall of blood pouring from the floor in large coagulating drops that pooled on the cobblestone beneath.

Stepping out of the carriage Soran undid his blood soaked cloak and dropped it into the pool of blood at his feet revealing his armor beneath to be almost spotless other than its usual wear and tear. Stretching he folded his hands behind his head running his short dark hair between his fingers Soran stepped over the bloody heap and took several steps towards the guard’s only coming to a halt when they made a move to block his advance. “What’s the meaning of this?” asked the same man as before who’s armor set him apart from the other guards who wore the standard armor of the Imperial City Guard. “It means we were attacked.” Soran sighed rolling his eyes. “Should be pretty easy to figure out even for a third rate captain of the guard…” He continued not giving the man a chance to respond to his insult. “Two days ago on the north road down from Chorrol; bandits had a great little ambush waiting for us, not a pretty sight to see the sky turn black with rusty arrows…” Soran laughed taking a hold of one of the brittle arrow shafts protruding from the horses side an snapping it with ease, drawing no reaction at all from the horse which remained motionless staring past the guards as if they weren’t even there.

“This is going to take a whole lot more explaining then that… Until I figure this out your under arr-“ “You can skip the bluster, I am under the employ of Wylin, perhaps you would like to ask him to explain?” He cut the guard off sending the color running from his face as he stumbled to place together enough words to respond. “I’m sorry sir! You were expected the day before last.” “You can see why I was late.” “Obviously sir, I will have my men clean this all up…” Soran nodded in agreement pleased with the commander’s sudden change in demeanor. “That’s easier said than done; I’m afraid these magic’s have ran their course.” He shook his head patting the black horse on the torn shoulder one last time before reaching into his pocket and removing a small scroll, ripping it in two and dropping both haves which burst into flames and vanished before touching the ground. The spell breaking the fire faded from both the horses’ eyes as whatever forces that held the animals together faded, leaving them to collapse dead in a heap at the foot of the carriage. “Been dead for almost two days now; a pity to, those type of scrolls aren’t easy to create and that was the last one I had.”

Several moments of silence passed as the guards lowered their weapons and exchanged looks of utter horror before all eyes landed on their captain as they looked to him for what to do. “I would appreciate it if you had a couple of your men unload the crate an assist me with transporting it to Wylin’s Manor.” Soran paused a moment remembering the interior of the carriage before adding. “Preferably the ones with strong stomachs… I wasn’t traveling alone you see.” “Yes sir…” the captain’s voice trailed off at the end as he curiously peered past Soran at the open carriage door, which continued to drip blood breaking the surface of the pool below like rain drops. “Arren, Kallor, retrieve the gentlemen’s cargo and accompany him until he’s done with you.” He motioned to the two men with halberds standing closest to him, both men exchanged frightened stares before looking back at their commander who simply gave them a stern stare and shrugged his shoulders. Surrendering to their fates, both men tossed there halberds to the side of the road before slowly and reluctantly walking past Soran approaching the half-open carriage door. Swinging it open the rest of the way both men stood motionless in shock before the larger of the two let out a yelp that sounded like a mouse caught in a trap and threw up on the boots of the other man. “Never seen the battlefield up close boys?” Soran laughed as the captain palmed his face and shook his head screaming. “Hurry up you idiots!”

“And they didn’t even have to try sleeping in there…” Soran smiled taking a quick inventory of his gear making sure he left nothing behind as the two guards attempted to push one another into the carriage first. The one with vomit-covered boots clearly outsized finally losing climbed into the gore-filled cabin, retrieving the wooden crate with rope handles and passing it off to the bigger man who attempted to apologize for his boots. Both men reluctantly falling in line behind Soran; he said farewell to the captain and began to stride towards the heavy city gates, which opened at the captains bidding allowing them entrance to the plaza district. Night had came by this time and the white stone fronts of the plaza districts mansions gave off an eerie pearlescent glow under the oil lamplights lighting the streets and entrance ways. “Look on the bright side; you’re getting out of cleaning up that mess. I’d love to see how in oblivion they are going to try moving those horses.” Soran laughed over his shoulder, which actually seemed to perk the two up somewhat but did nothing to return any of the color to their faces. “You actually slept in there…?”

“Believe it or not I’ve slept in worse. The things one does for the job they love I suppose.” He shrugged coming to a stop outside one of the largest manors lining the main plaza and slamming the brass knocker several times before looking back at the two. “Plus enough gold will make you do just about anything…” Soran laughed as a servant appeared at the door opening it up, letting the warm breeze blowing from the well-stocked hearth within radiate out over the men. “You can give him the crate from here.” He continued on removing a pouch from his pocket and pouring a handful of Septims into the hand of the other guard. “Go blow a couple hours at the bar before reporting that we finished here, I certainly won’t tell anybody.” Following the servant inside Soran closed the door shutting out the cool night air, beginning to warm for the first time since the journey had taken a turn for the worst Soran lingered for several moments in front of the hearth before fallowing the servant up the grand staircase.

This was his second time being inside Wylin’s Manor, the first being when he took on the job, but he found it to be every bit as impressive as his first. Decorated in traditional imperial noble style the place-oozed wealth as every shelf, nook, and cranny and wall space were absolutely packed with sculptures, artifacts, and master works of famous painters from all reaches of the empire. Pulling his attention away from the show of power and money, Soran reached the second landing nodding to one of the many sentries stationed throughout the Manor who made up Wylin’s personal bodyguard as he fallowed the ever-silent servant down the final long hallway that led to Wylin’s office. Juggling the heavy crate the old man fumbled around feeling for the doorknob before finally opening it up and stepping inside. “I had about given up hope on you all… I expected you back days ago.” Wylin’s spoke, only his eyes visible above a piece of paper he was closely studying. “We expected a lot smoother journey…”

Soran sighed with relief glad to see the well-stocked hearth burning in the corner of his office as well, walking over and warming his hands before turning his back to it, he continued. “They must have known what we were carrying for them to have wanted us so bady... Honestly have seen smaller ambushes in military campaigns. Fired off so many arrows our wagon looked like a seamstress’s pincushion and the horses didn’t fare much better…” “Did anyone else make it?” Wylin interrupted tossing down the papers revealing the highly weathered face of a soldier turned noble who managed to make it into his latter sixties. “They’re all dead.” Soran shook his head. “The merchandise however remains intact.” “Well at least the gold I spent on you didn’t go to waste like the others!” The old man smiled snidely before hurrying from his desk to retrieve the crate and set it on his side table beginning to pry the lid off with a flimsy letter opener. Finally loosening the lid enough to remove it Wylin pulled out a carved Ayleid statue and began to turn it over in his hands eagerly.

As the old man remained transfixed studying his latest prize Soran turned back to the fire warming his hands one last time, slipping a tiny sealed metal tube from his sleeve he peered over his shoulder to make sure that Wylin was still distracted before casually tossing it into the roaring flames of the hearth. “It’s every bit what they described, was Karos able to authenticate it before dying?” “Yes, he checked it before we paid them as instructed.” He smiled turning back around and walking over to the table directly across from the hearth where Wylin sat admiring the statue he had sat in front of himself. “Speaking of being paid, if you don’t mind I am more than ready for a warm Inn and a hot meal.” “Of course...” Wylin blurted paying very little attention to anything but the artifact before him. Carelessly waving his hand above his head he signaled to the servant who had been keeping busy organizing papers on Wylin’s desk. Dropping the stack of papers, he was holding in a heap he opened the top drawer of the desk weighing out several bags of septims in his hands before bringing three bags over to Soran and handing them over.

“You do good work, drop by again after you have had time to rest and I may have another job for you.” Wylin waved again seemingly dismissing the two as his attentions turned to pulling old tomes from his bookshelf and laying them open around the statue. Placing the heavy bags in the travel pack at his side Soran lingered not a moment longer before making his way out of the mansion and back into the cold embrace of darkness that waited on the streets outside. The paths between the mansions of the plaza were completely empty aside from the occasional patrolling guard as Soran made his way toward the Market District ring of the Imperial City. Approaching the gates, he caught sight of a nord wearing rough leather armor sitting on the staircase leading to the market district, arms folded at his chest as he leaned back nursing a lit pipe. “So he bought it hook line and sinker?” The nord laughed as Soran took a seat beside him. “Oh course, why wouldn’t he? I am sure word reached Wylin about the condition of the carriage soon as I crossed that bridge. His feigning surprise at my arrival was not at all convincing…” Soran smiled pulling the pipe from between the nords teeth and taking a long drag off it.

“I still don’t understand why you had to go through all this trouble instead of just making off with the statue yourself during the journey; you didn’t need to involve us. Not that I’m complaining…” The nord sighed itching at an Imperial Prison brand hidden under his vambrace. “Because then I never would have been able to get paid for bringing him that fake. With all the other guards constantly, watching there was no way for me to get at it unseen. I had plenty of time to create a convincing copy after the ambush though.” He paused to exhale before tossing the pipe back to the bandit. “Besides I still needed to get in that office once more.” The Bandit sat confused trying to figure out what Soran meant by his last statement before giving up an returning to his pipe with a shrug. “Has the fence had a chance to look at it yet?” “He has it now, seemed pleased and sure he could get top dollar but it will take some time to move…” “That’s fine, just have my 60% sent to the usual place.” “60?? We agreed on 50/50..." “That was before your arrow happy men turned my horses to pin cushions as well, I had to use up a particularly hard to come by scroll just to make it back here…” Soran said in a cold tone shooting a gaze at the bandit leader, which caused him to drop the argument and simply nod in agreement.

“So are we done here?” “Almost… The metal casing on that scroll should melt through at any moment. Then my contracts complete.” “What in oblivion are you talk—“ The nord was cut off as a loud blast sounded sending a shockwave and cloud of dust rushing down the street from the direction of Wylin’s Manor. “Little flashy don’t you think? They are going to be hunting for you in no time…” Stretching as he got to his feet, Soran simply shrugged. “That’s why I never used my real name. Besides I wasn’t about to wade through all those damned bodyguards just to slit his throat.” He laughed looking back in the direction of the blast seeing the dust begin to settle. “Still we better not linger here, come I’ll buy you a drink at the Waterfront. I plan on heading out at dawn to collect my payment for Wylin's death.” “My father always said NEVER turn down a free drink.” The bandit smiled tapping out his pipe on the stone steps as he got up fallowing Soran through the door and out of sight, warning bells began to ring out in the plaza waking up those noble residents who had managed to sleep through the explosion.

    "Stop right there, girl."

Lucilla turned her attention from the market stand to the scolding, cold voice. To her right was a guard who stood a head taller than she, brandishing his blade and standing in an offensive pose. She wasn't sure if she was seeing things owing to the generous amount of wine she'd allowed herself just an hour before or if she was truly being seized. Dropping the various wares, she stood up from her crouched position and faced the guard.

"What have I done? I was only admiring the valuables to see what I was going to purchase at sunrise." Disappointed in her lack of cunning, she breathed a sigh and continued. "It's not like I was going to take anything. That would be dishonest. Besides, I've saved up enough coin to treat myself to a special...treat."

The guard shot her a skeptical look. "Oh, of course you were simply looking around in the middle of the night. How stupid do you think I am? I've heard every excuse in the book, girl, and you're coming with me." He went to apprehend the 16-year old girl, but before he could grab a hold of her, she darted out of the way and ran off. Determined not to be bested by a common, lowly thief, the guard grunted and began the pursuit.

Lucilla ran to the small forest at the foothills up the mountains and quietly scrambled up a tree, where she waited until the exhausted shouts of the guard drew nearer. She couldn't believe she was going to attack a guard, but couldn't risk spending the rest of her years rotting in the jail. She knew good things didn't happen to those in the jails and also knew good things didn't come to people who didn't take action. If she did nothing, she would risk not being able to show her face in Cheydinhal again, which meant she couldn't see her friends, couldn't secretly take what she needed to survive, couldn't support her family. "Now or never," she muttered.

"Damn it, girl, I'm not going to let you get away. Come out and you won't face stiffer consequences. You'll spend your time in jail and be done with it."

She stealthily climbed down the tree, drew her dagger, and crept up behind the unwary man. Grabbing the collar of his cloak, she lightly touched the man's throat with her blade, creating a thin scratch. "Forget you ever saw me. If you heed my warning, you'll get to live; if not, then you're dumber than I thought."

The guard tried to wiggle his way from her grasp and was surprised by the amount of the strength the young woman had. "Never, slime! Now stop this nonsense and come with me! Ooh, I should put your head on a spike for this!"

Feeling exasperated with no other choice, she cut the man's throat. Blood began to gush all over her hands and worn leather gauntlets. The guard gagged and choked and when she let go of him, she watched him fall to his knees, hands desperately trying to stop the blood by grabbing his throat. "You see, I really had no choice. Why didn't you leave? Your own foolish pride did this to you. May you seek comfort in Aetherius." With that, she dig out two gems, a sapphire and a ruby, and stuffed them into the guard's hand. "For your trouble, sir," she said as she hurried home, away from the horrible crime she committed. She hated having to kill the poor bastard, but she had to admit...she liked it. She was good at it. Perhaps this was a calling, she thought as she fell asleep later that night.

"My child. The Night Mother wishes you to go to Bruma...with the others. Others like you who will hail and restore glory to Sithis."

Lucilla jerked awake and wondered if she was hearing things or if it was merely a bad dream. She rubbed what was left of her sleep out of her eyes and looked around the dark bedroom. Why was she still having nightmares about something that happened so long ago? What connection could she possibly have to Bruma? Something inside of her wanted to find out.

"Go, child...at once," the crackled, whispering voice said again.

Stifling a scream, all she could do was nod in agreement.[/i]

Sheydna waited, her body began to prepare to pounce in her unwary prey. She was hungry, starving even. She had, had a lack of food for weeks, and she needed some food desperately. A young nord woman crouched down about 5 metres away from Sheydnas hiding spot of a bush.

The young woman sung merrily to herself as she observed some exotic plants, but she was unaware of what was waiting for her. She would soon join the void and she had no escape from her fate. Sheydnas mouth curled upwards into a sinister, psychotic smile and very slowly crept out of her hiding place and sneaked right behind the young nord.

Sheydna could imagine sinking her teeth into the woman's blood filled veins. Sheydna briskly pulled her dagger from it's hilt and plunged it into the nords back, driving it in till she wailed in pain. Sheydna then sunk her teeth into the woman lad neck the warm thick blood draining out of the woman's body. The young woman screamed and cried for help but no one was coming. Her end was nearing and she could do nothing about it.

She was so happy to be feasting on the young woman, she had always thought nord blood tasted the best. The woman had gone complete pale like a ghost and she began to mutter something under her voice. "Va...m...pi..re," the woman whispered, her strength now completely drained from her body. Sheydan bent over and placed her lips to the woman's ear and said in a hushed voice, "no I am no vampire... I am a cannibal, and you are my feast," and with that she began to rip through the woman's flesh using the dagger as aid.

Sheydna licked the thick ruby coloured blood off her finger tips and then lay backwards against a tree and starred at the unfortunate girls body which now no more than a carcous. A smug grin decorated her face as she admired her art. She then began to drift off into sleep as her body was now full but what she saw in her dreams that night was something very perculiar. She had been chosen and there were others. Her eyes suddenly opened and she noticed beads of sweat running down her face. She knew something was happening and she feared what it was..

The sound of water dripping and rats scurrying along the floors echoed among the prisoner's cells. The air smelled of damp mold, blood, and rotting carcasses that were scattered among the prisoners cells. It was a torture trick used by the Bruma guards for fun. It drove men to insanity and woman to silence and disgust. No one liked the bodies of rats, dogs, and even humans that were piled up at times, except one woman. A Breton woman, also a cannibal. She came from the Reach in Skyrim and was part of the Forsworn tribe. Her name was De'akri.

The other prisoners feared this bipolar woman, to put it delicately. De'akri had a severe bipolar disorder that caused her to become evil, at times though. Her original personality was kind-hearted and full of etiquette. The traumatic death of her father when she was 7 caused her to grow a split personality. It started small and didn't affect her life all that much for several years. But as she grew older, her other side grew as well. It has nearly taken over her life and she rarely comes out of her evil side, maybe once every few weeks for a very short time.

"You see that woman over there newbie?" The guards had started talking during their change of shifts.

"The Breton with tattoos on her face?" The second guard, audibly younger than the first, had lowered his voice to the sound of whisper. That didn't stop De'akri from listening though. She had the hearing of a dog and could listen to any whisper, within a relatively close range to her.

"She's a cannibal. A murderer. I don't know why we haven't sent her to the Imperial Prison yet. She is dangerous and may escape. Don't worry about the other prisoners as much as her. They are petty thieves and merchants. They won't hurt you." Both guards were at a voiceless whisper now. De'akri laughed out loud. It was an insane and loud laugh.

"What are you laughing at, bitch? Think this is a game?" The younger guard was speaking to the Breton with confidence. He stepped forward but was stopped by the older guard. The older guard shook his head no and had a face of disappointment almost.

"Don't provoke her. She is an animal in the body of a woman. Her euphonious voice and angelic looks shouldn't fool you." The voice of the man shook as he tried to speak.

"Damn right I am." De'akri wasn't directly speaking to either of the guards, just to herself, although loud enough for them to hear her. She knew she was strong, but she didn't know a thing about lock picking or breaking doors. There isn't much she can do to escape. Although, she could always be rescued. As if.

De'akri was alone in Cyrodil. Very few other Reachmen were in Cyrodil, and they were all locked up. She didn't have any family either. She was an orphaned only child. And none of her aunts or uncles would except her into there family, as they were "normal" bretons.

De'akri had decided to lay down on her hay mattress and try to sleep. The older guard decided it was safe enough and left, leaving the young guard by himself. In her silence and stillness, she heard a voice pierce through straight to her head. Unblocked by the walls of her skull and flesh.

"Come to the Sanctuary, my child. It is time for you to bring more souls to the void for your Father Sithis."

She knew where to go. The Bruma sanctuary. She just had to get out of her cell.

    Mistress of Shadows
The petite blond woman sniffed the evening air. She could smell many things on the cool night’s breeze. A mixture of dew and freshly plowed wet dirt and.. burning wood. She smiled to herself. The village was not that far. She continued on across the fields and over a rise she spied a small cluster of buildings down in the valley below; the light from their windows blinking out at her like some giant monster crouching in the grass.

“Shadow..” a voice whispered in her ear. The woman was momentarily stunned as the voice reverberated inside her mind. It was not the first time those seductive, honey-sweet tones had spoken her name. She had felt a presence for a few days now. At first just a tingling sensation on the back of her neck until one night, while she took the life of a fat merchant, slicing across his neck and giving her ebony daggers a taste of his hot life-blood, a voice whispered in her ear. It had said her name and then laughed. Not a happy laugh. More a sinister, approving laugh that left Shadow feeling uneasy, but somehow, comforted.

The presence had not left her after that, providing its approval with every murder she committed. It was like a caress of a lover as it whispered her name, setting her senses into an expectant exhilaration that made her work that more thrilling. She wished the voice would speak to her more, instead of just whispering her name. She had taken to calling the entity My Lady.

Tonight, as she headed for her target in the small village of Rorikstead of Skyrim, she felt the excitement inside her build at the inevitable murder about to take place by her hand. She felt the hilt of both of her ebony daggers she fondly referred to as The Girls. They rested in their sheaths on either hip, dipped in a lethal poison that Shadow had concocted herself. She was dressed in her fine dark leather catsuit, perfect for night time stealth missions. A black robe swirled around her ankles and her brilliant blond hair was concealed by a hood. Her intense blue eyes sparkled in the moonlight. Moonlight was not her friend tonight. It lit up everything, which was why she had chosen to stay off the roads and access the sleepy village from across the fields. She had cover in the way of the sparse underbrush that dotted the field.

Shadow carefully strode towards one of the houses, set apart from the others. Her target was inside, no doubt beating his wife and children again. Shadow did not even care he beat his family. She had long lost any empathy she had for the human race. Oh she was as human as the rest of them, but she had detached herself from any sort of emotions she considered to be weak and would leave her vulnerable and questioning her work. It was how she coped with her job. Maybe she did it because she just loved the thrill of a kill, maybe not. Either way, she was very, very good at it.

She peered in through one of the windows to observe the family inside. She saw the wife, and the husband was sprawled out in a chair, demanding more food. But there was no sign of the children. They had three, Shadow had observed in the days that she had staked out and watched her target. Shadow wondered why they even bothered bringing the brats into the world if they were just going to mistreat them and beat them. She felt a small pang of sympathy but she brushed it away with annoyance. Shadow crept along the back of the house, keeping close to the wall and found the bedroom window. She slid it open slowly and shed her cloak before slipping in silently and unseen. The room stank of sweat and filth and she wrinkled her nose in disgust.

“I am definitely going to have to take a bath after this job” she muttered as she lowered herself to her stomach and rolled under the bed, positioning herself on the target’s side and waited. As she lay there, listening to the husband yelling at his wife, she thought about the voice. Are you there My Lady? She asked into the void. Silence answered her. Shadow sighed. An hour later the couple retired for the night, the bed creaking under their weight as the husband slipped his member into his wife while she lay there and took it. Shadow’s nose again wrinkled as she listened to the grunts and groans. Breeding more brats most likely.. she thought darkly..

    “Shadow..” It was her!

“My Lady!” Shadow answered with elation.

“Help me rid the world of one more wretched soul...” the woman’s sweet voice then said to her. She had finally spoken to her, but Shadow was confused. She already had the target within her grasp.

“My Lady, I already take a life for you tonight, the man...”

“I don’t mean him. I want...her.” Shadow blinked. The noise and movement in the bed had settled. It had taken barely two minutes for the man to spill his seed inside his wife.

“It shall be done” Shadow answered her Mistress.

“Of course it will be. I am the Night Mother and you will do as I command willingly and with love. For I love all my children” The Night Mother..the Dark Brotherhood..! Shadow felt a soft caress on her face and her heart leapt. When she could hear snores coming from the couple she took out her daggers and thrust them up through the thin mattress of hay, plunging them through the man as he lay there pinned to the bed. One blade went straight through his neck, the other pierced his spine, shattering it and disabling any movement. The poison worked its way quickly into his blood stream and within half a minute he was dead. Shadow extracted her blades and rolled out from under the bed and watched the wife as she slept, oblivious of her dead spouse beside her. The blonde murderess slowly crawled onto the bed and straddled the woman when she woke in shock. Shadow clamped her hand over the woman’s mouth and pinned her arms to her side with her legs. Her eyes wide with fear, the woman stopped struggling when she saw The Girls glimmering in the moonlight..

“Shhh...“ she whispered to the woman, running the tip of her blade over her cheek. The woman’s muffled cries stopped and Shadow lifted her hand from her mouth.

“Do you know why I kill?” she asked the woman in her honey-smooth voice. She untied the woman’s tunic top and opened it to reveal two plump misshaped breasts.

“Do it..now!” the voice commanded. Shadow frowned, interrupted from the question she always liked to ask a victim before taking their life. She tsk’ed in annoyance and casually slit the woman’s throat, sliding off her before any blood could splatter her leather. The coppery smell of blood flooded her nostrils and Shadow felt a small shudder thrill through her.

“Perfect my child” the voice soothed her “Now. Come to my sanctuary where there are others like you. I am gathering my children to me once again and the world will know what it feels like to fear the darkness!” an image of a dark, foreboding door flashed through Shadow’s mind, as well as landmarks and places she knew. She would be travelling to Bruma in Cyrodiil. A lengthy journey but one she had made many times.

“Yes my Mother” Shadow said aloud and bowed her head in reverence; her twin daggers dripping with blood.

The Prison Guard stood up at the sound of screaming. It was coming from outside. His back audibly cracked for the prisoners to hear… It even echoed around their cells. He took a step in the direction of the exit, but quickly sat back down as he glanced at De'akri. She knew the guard was a pervert. He always had his eye on the female prisoners in the cell block and even abused some of them. Today, he stared at De'akri even more than his usual amount.

"Theft!" a woman yelled. "That man took my ring and jewels! HELP!"

The guard snickered at the woman. He obviously thought it was a petty crime. The lady outside did not share his opinion.

"Why wait darling? No one is coming for you my child… You have to get outside yourself." The same voice from before had echoed through her head. It was a melodious voice. De'akri was jealous. Although, she had just as euphonious of a voice as her beloved Night Mother.

"You should let me out of here Dax. You know I've served a few weeks. I think that's enough, don't you?" She was speaking in her calmest and most seductive voice she could. She didn't want to murder right now. Too much blood on her hands.

"You know the answer to that you scum. No." Dax was trying to stay in one piece. He was almost nervous to talk to a caged animal. De'akri enjoyed his torment.

"Maybe I'll show you a little something… I know how you like your woman." Dax had broken out into a sweat. It wasn't hard for him. He was a large, large man. His nervous attitude was very fun to play with. He though he was the boss of the prisoners.

"The answer, is no." Dax answered. "I'd rather not be beheaded for letting a wild animal out into the city." His face was bright red and he was starting to make the prison smell. Obviously an unfit man.

"You sure? I may have a few surprises for you." De'akri said. "Are you sure you don't want to touch me?" Dax had a visible erection poking through his pants. He really should be wearing something to cover his hole in his pants.

De'akri was at the point of touching herself. She fondled her self a little and almost pulled her shirt down. Dax was oblivious to her seduction tactics. He got up and opened the cage. She stood up planning to walk right out, but she was stopped. He pushed her back to the wall and pulled down her pants. She tried to resist but she wasn't strong at all. Neither was he, but he had a very high mass and weight.

He only lasted less than a minute. She ended up just letting him do his thing. She didn't feel a thing so it didn't matter. At least he was kind enough to finish outside of her. He let her pull her pants up and sat beside her, disgustingly groping her. He was a psycho for sure.

Dax was too distracted by her body to notice her take his dagger. She stabbed him straight in his gut, the least protected part of his fleshy, flabby body. He gurgled on his own blood that came up through his mouth. His body was on the floor, bleeding and staying still.

"Please… don't eat me. I'd rather die with dignity." The guard's voice trembled in a high pitch. He was in excruciating pain.

"Dignity? You raped a murderous canibal all because you couldn't control your dick. Anyway, you're too fatty without enough real meat. Don't like to work around my kill." De'akri tried to contain her laughter, but she couldn't. "Oh, I'll be sure to leave a note on how you died by both the Captain's and your wive's house."

With that, she walked out dagger in hand. She headed toward the Evidence Room, where they kept her gear, she hoped.

Along the way, she heard many pleas of despair, help, and escape. All meaningless. De'akri was the only dangerous prisoner in the cell block. They wouldn't die. She would if she stayed.

"Hey! You! Prisoner! Where are you going?" Another guard yelled. "I don't suppose you were let out. Get back in your cell or I will kill you.

He was obviously not a combatant or a strong guard. He was scared and didn't want to fight. De'akri threw the dagger and hit him in his left knee. He wouldn't walk well for years. There was a certain cruelty in what she just did. Nothing more, or even close to her worst.

De'akri had reached the Evidence Chest. She opened it up to her surprise. There was all her stuff. It hadn't been sold, or taken by a greedy guard. She took off her clothes to put her armor on. She donned her Nightangale Armor and strapped it up. It was a sting lace, rather different than normal Nightingale Armor. She put her Shrouded Cloak and mask on, still
without shoes or gloves. The gloves felt awkward after putting them on. They hadn't been worn in weeks.

De'akri found her longsword, rapier, and crossbow all made out of ebony. She equipped her swords and fastened them around her belt. Her crossbow fit directly behind her cape. She hid it for obvious reasons. It was a rare sight and most people were afraid that she could shoot people from afar. She slid on her boots and walked out. Menacing in looks and dreadful in movement.

She walked out of the prison, slashing and stabbing all the guards that got in her way. After she saw the light, she pulled her hood down so people could see her tattoos. Spiders, snakes and patterns that were not of the norm. She had to find the Sanctuary. She knew it was in Bruma, but where?

    The Shogun of Gaming
They reached Bruma the next morning, Afuroc woke up to see the high walls of Bruma towering over him like how the Throat of the World did back home in Skyrim. The snow drifted down, his body heat melting them quickly as their melted form filled the canyons of flesh the scars made. His heart started beating faster. He was growing excited, for he had a challenger.

It took him a while, but he learned who the best swordsman of these mercenaries was. Rodrick of Raven Rock, Afuroc thought as he stared at the man himself. A mixed racial man, stood tall and had a certain directness to him. Rodrick seemed to favor heavier light armor which meant he was not going to be as agile, but able to take more punishment. Afuroc looked at the heavy Orchish blade at the man’s him. He watched the man for only a few seconds, yet Afuroc knew many things about his opponent. I don’t need your story, Afuroc thought. I just need you splayed upon my blade.

After eating more of the mercenaries’ food, Afuroc approached Rodrick with a smile. It happened in a manner of seconds, a series of action and reaction. Afuroc shifted his stance, Rodrick stiffened up. Afuroc drew and slashed in one fluid movement, Rodrick ducked. Rodrick drew his sword, and Afuroc laughed.

“Afuroc, the Shrouded Sword.” Afuroc whispered just loud enough for Rodrick to hear, dipping his sword while performing a little bow.

“Rodrick of Raven Rock,” The Mercenary replied pointing his sword at Afuroc’s chest. In his eyes there was no residual looks of shock nor fear. As soon as he had heard of Afuroc joining the Company for the sake of travel, he knew this was going to happen.

“Slashing a man from behind? Not very honorable.”

    “Proves who is worthy.”

    “Dirty trick.”

    “Says the mercenary.”

    “From the assassin.”

Rodrick laughed and then charged forward grasping his Orchish sword in both hands. With a loud battle cry, catching the attention of the camp. Each man watching with poorly hidden interest. Rodrick was good with a sword, but not with people. Soon a betting pool went up, odds favored Rodrick five to one. With a smile Afuroc took out a septim and threw it at the money handler.

    “For me… Of course.”

Afuroc twisted to the left, dancing around Rodrick’s sword arm. Rodrick was expecting contact that he found himself over extended, and with a quick kick from Afuroc, stumbling. He managed to turn his head just in time to see the Redguard’s trademark blade slice through his neck. As Rodrick’s head rolled there was collective chorus of cheers and groans. Reaching down, the victor took a small piece of cloth from his fallen foe. He meticulously cleaned his sword before sliding it back into its well-oiled sheath. Afuroc just pulled out his pipe, and before he could tap into his magic someone offered him a burning twig.

    “Quite the show.”

“I try.” The mercenary could only laugh as Afuroc took a random sack of coins from the betting pile and walked towards the gates.

“Good luck to you. Hail Sithis.”

Afuroc turned to find the man gone. He felt another shiver, and considered turning away from the Dark Brotherhood after this. Maybe go do honest killings with the Fighter’s Guild for a while. Hypnotic vapor escaped from his nose and mouth as the city seemed to explode in response to a commotion.

"Hello, Welcome to Rorikstead, this is the Frostfruit Inn, what can I get you boys this evening?" a torn flyer was slapped onto the bar-top "We're looking for this female" the barkeeper took the flyer in his hands and studied the drawing, as he slowly stroked his beard "Hmmm" handing the flyer back "What is her crime to be wanted, such a fine looking Lass, it's hard to even think she'd be capable of anything" the biggest of the three men grabbed the keeper by the collar "Its best if you don't worry about what she has done, now" releasing the keepers shirt "Have you seen her? She was heading this way, and we are curious if she stopped here or not" the keeper shook his head "Sorry, we haven't had anyone pass through on my watch" the men nodded at the keeper and started to head out when a patron stood up grabbing the paper from the mans hand and started studying the paper "I recognize this busty broad" as he started to stumble "Yeah yeah" he stumbled over to the bar "You gave her a room, dontcha member?" he shoved the paper in the keepers face "Shes a fiery redhead with yellow eyes" the bounty hunters started to head back to the bar when the drunk man pointed to the closed door "You gave her that room o'er there!" The men loomed over the keeper "You're next" and strode towards the door, The barkeeper grabbed the drunk patron and slammed his head to the bar whispering in his ear to "Shut the hell up".

She was standing there in the meadow, crotched down, stalking her target, she slowly approached, her body as close to the ground she could get without crawling on the ground, notching her arrow on her bow, her eyes zoomed in closer to her target "You're Lunch"

A loud boom came on the door, her eyes flew open, trying to remember where she was, as the sudden disturbance in her sleep was broke "What in the..." "Scarlet! We know you're in there missy!" her eyes widen "pl*** pl*** pl***" she whispered to herself, she quickly dressed and gathered her things looking for possible ways to escape. Spotting the window as only means she quickly inspected the window, tapping on the glass "Id hate to do this.." grabbing the sabercat skin that was on the bed and covering her face, she stepped back to the door, ran at the window, crashing through it as she landed on the dew covered ground, laughing as she scrambled to her feet, and ran down the road, turning to see the hunters yelling from the broken window, she stopped turned around and saluted them "Fine job finding me boys! Tell the keeper Ill send coin for the window, until then adieu fu**ers" she bowed at them and ran off down the road.

She slowed her step, which she probably shouldnt have, as she started to reach an open field "Catch a ride in Falkreath down into Cyrodiil and onto Bruma" she rubbed her hands in an evil like manner, stopping to quickly catch her breath as she started to step forward she was tackled to the ground, her gear stripped and thrown from her person, and was flipped onto her back looking up into the eyes of the biggest of the 3 bounty hunters "Youre mine, You female she-dog" she smiled sweetly at him "Given the current position, It would seem so now wouldnt it?" he brought his hand across her face "You hush! You will pay for what you did to my brother" she giggle in a most frightening manner "Oh him! Hmmm yes yes, which part are you referring to that I'm going to pay for? Taking his heart? Or sinking my teeth into his heart...." she started to cackle, her laughter was the sound of metal hitting glass "Your brother was quite tasty" he started to grunt and grit his teeth together before he punched her in her side "Oof" grabbing her chin, pulling her face close to his "You'll die by my dagger" smiling still at him "We will see" she looked over his shoulder watching as a dark figure slowly approached them

    Mistress of Shadows
Shadow had come out of her revere and wrinkled her nose. The smell of blood was getting too much, overloading her senses and pushing her into a state of euphoria, so she quickly cleaned off The Girls, re-applied her poison to them and laid them to rest in their sheaths. She rummaged around the room, looking for a souvenir to take before her hand fell on a fine hair comb. It looked to be made from horker tusk and was intricately carved.

"A pretty thing you have here my dear" she said to the dead woman, then stowed it inside her leather suit. "Far to pretty to be left behind" she turned to the window and stepped delicately through it. As she was putting on her cloak she heard a smashing of glass from her left and immediately went into a crouched position. Shadow peered around the house to see a young woman picking herself up from the ground and taking off down the street; a group of men cursing her from the window she had just hurled herself through. As the woman ran down the street laughing, Shadow's senses pricked up. She knew that laugh. To confirm her suspicions, when the woman ran through a particularly bright ray of moonlight Shadow saw a shock of red hair. Scarlet.

Not someone I would have expected to see here, she thought to herself as she watched the men bursting from the Inn in pursuit of her friend. Shadow raised an eyebrow. Were hunters she sneered. Scarlet always did like to get herself into trouble. The She-wolf was a like a beacon for trouble, where as Shadow liked to keep to, well, the shadows. She made a quick decision and gathered her crossbow, notching it as she made her way towards the men and their prey. The hunters had now become the hunted. Scarlet had stopped in a field and was then taken down by one of the men. He had her pinned to the ground and menaced her with his dagger. Shadow approached on silent feet, her crossbow aimed at the man's head, another bolt ready to be notched quickly, in her hand. Scarlet looked her way and a moment of recognition flashed in her yellow eyes when Shadow removed her hood, revealing her blue eyes and brilliant blond hair. She smiled.

The men were completely distracted and Shadow approached just close enough for her crossbow to inflict maximum damage.

"Now that's no way to treat a lady" she announced herself. All three men spun in her direction but before they could say anything she loosed a bolt. It caught the biggest man, the one who had Scarlet pinned to the ground, through the eye and he fell to the side, releasing Scarlet from his grasp. The two men stood in shock for a second, giving Shadow enough time to reload her crossbow and loosed another bolt at the man nearest her. It caught him in the stomach and he doubled over in pain, before Shadow's poison mixed with his blood and he fell to the ground twitching. By this time Scarlet had scrambled to her feet. The last of the hunters, having lost all his nerve turned and bolted across the fields.

"He's all yours" Shadow said to her red-headed friend, smiling maliciously.

    The Gentle Utensil
Do'Graes woke up, startled from his dream. Or was it a nightmare. He couldn't really tell. There was nothing, only a voice. "Go to Bruma, she says. But where is Bruma? And who is she?" Do'Graes said to himself, rubbing his chin. "Bruma is north of here, a couple hours from here. And as for who she is, I don't know. But her voice was something out of a nightmare." Do'Graes looked around for his companion, finally having enough sense to look up. Zigzag was sitting on a beam above his head, one leg hanging off the side, swinging back and forth. She looked like she had been up all night. "But your voice is just so much better, right?" Zigzag frowned. She didn't think her voice was that bad. She took her boot off and threw it down, hitting her companion in the back of the head. "Ow! Okay, I apologize. But how do you even know where Bruma is, never-mind how far it is?" He got out of the bed and held out his arms as Zigzag dropped from the beam into his arms. "I looked at the map, and a couple hours ago the bartender told me about the place. Guy went on and on about some Cathedral or something like that. Seems like something to check out when we get there." Do'Graes stared at her as she put on her fur armor. "You really want to go check this place out? And go sight-seeing no less?" The Breton woman walked over to Do'Graes, only coming to his torso, but staring him down. "Of course. Since you didn't accept any real payment, this time I decide where we go. And I say, we go to Bruma and check this town out. Now come on. Get armored up and let's get going. The horses are outside, and it's been awhile since they've been able to full on sprint.
The two mercenaries were making great time considering how slow their horses were. They were given the horses from a grateful client back in Skyrim. They weren't as fast as the horses they would have found in Hammerfell or Cyrodil, but they were a lot tougher and could go farther with smaller breaks. They were about an hour away from the city when they spotted some armored men ahead of them on the road.

"Ho there travelers! Just where are you two off to in such a rush?" One of the men said as Zigzag and Do'Graes stopped their horses. Zigzag opened her mouth to say something but Do'Graes waved his hand in front of her. "We're on our way to Bruma. We heard about the Cathedral there and wanted to see it for ourselves." The Khajiit knew these men were bandits, so did Zigzag. But they couldn't just spring into action just yet. Besides, it always amused him to hear what these people say before they no longer could breathe. "Bruma huh? We're actually from Bruma ourselves. Aren't we men?" The men nodded in agreement, beginning to circle around the two. "We're actually out here to collect 'donations' to fix up the city. The buildings are so old, they make those dwarven ruins look young." At this point, Zigzag had her hands on her waist. Donations my ass. These guys are thugs looking to rob people of their coin. She looked at Do'Graes, but he gave her a look that old her to be patient. "I see. Just how much are these donations?" The man stood there for a few seconds. "Well it's the same price for each person, and since there are two of you, I think a donation of 10000 septims each should be sufficient."

Zigzag had enough of these guys. She jumped off her horse and walked towards the man. "10000 septims each?! Are you insane?! We don't have that kind of money! No one traveling on these roads does!" The man eyed the loud woman, especially stopping to stare at her chest. The girl was small in height, but was big enough were it counted. "Well of course, if you can't pay the donation, I'm sure my men and I can discuss another...payment." The men that surrounded the duo started to laugh. Do'Graes couldn't help but smile. Oh gods, this is perfect. This is gonna be better than that guy in the cave from last night. It took a couple seconds for Zigzag to realize he was talking about her. It took her a bit longer to realize what he actually meant. Her face turned redder than the roses she liked so much. She looked up, fire in her eyes. She wasn't gonna take that from some lowly bandit. Faster than she would usually move, she grabbed the daggers that hung at her waist and swung them out, leaving two, thin parallel lines in the man's throat.

The man fell backwards, but Zigzag wasn't done. She crouched next to the man and stabbed him, over and over as the other men watched in horror. "She's crazy. Do you men really want to lose your lives over not being able to sleep with a crazy woman like that?" Do'Graes asked the man as he pointed to his companion. At this point, Zigzag had given up on stabbing the already dead man, but was now slashing his exposed chest. "He's right! No amount of coin or good women is worth dying over. Let's get out of here!" The men ran off in the direction the duo had came from, leaving behind their dead leader, who's corpse was desecrated with various stab wounds and slashes. Do'Graes looked at Zigzag as she walked back to her horse, cleaning her two daggers with some leaves. "As much as I enjoyed watching those men run in fear from one of the shortest women I've ever met, was it really necessary to make that guy look like he came out of a butcher's shop, Rose?" Zigzag mounted her horse, frowning. "The bastard had it coming. And I told you, don't call me that name! You know I hate that name." Before Do'Graes could say anything else, Zigzag whipped the reins of her horse, surging it forward into an all out sprint. They still had to get to Bruma.

    maybe...
She smiled at her friend “Shadow, Love how are you? Tis been awhile since we had last spoke No?” Scarlet watched as Shadow had let the other man run away, a smile spread across her face “Oh You shouldn’t have” Scarlet giggled as she gathered her gear, stripping down to her garments, placing everything on a tree stump by Shadow “Thank you, and If you don’t mind waiting a bit and watching my stuff?” Shadow nodded and held her arm out pointing towards the running bounty hunter “Excellent”.

Scarlet started running towards the hunter “Whats the hurry?” she laughed “You no longer a big man without your buddies? You get off fighting women in groups?” the hunter started to get further away from her, she could hear him laughing “Laugh all you want Daniel, I will catch you!” her feet started hitting the ground harder as her skin started to darken, her body slowly changing shape and soon she was running on all fours, covering the ground twice as fast. She leaped in the air, pouncing on top of the hunter, even in wolf form you could see the evil grin in her face as she sunk her teeth into his neck, and started to rip him to shreds and like always leaving nothing behind to identify who it was.

Moments later, she reached Shadow who was sitting on the stump, she looked at her blood covered friend “Did he taste well?” Scarlet laughed “Oh yeah very meaty” she grabbed her bag and grabbed a cloth soaking it water from her waterskin and wiped the blood off her “Thanks for waiting for me by the way” as she got dressed and latched her quiver “What brings you this far south of Skyrim away?” as always with Shadow she was very mysterious and didn’t give much away, until she heard her mention Bruma “Bruma huh? Strange Im heading that way too” the two ladies looked at each other, and at the same time said “night mother”, Scarlet gasped “No way! You know how interesting and exciting this is?!” she started to jump but quickly stopped and looked at Shadow “If you don’t mind we can travel together, catch up, kill people… You know fun stuff like that?” Shadow nodded at Scarlet and the two were off.

Reaching the stables, Scarlet paid the carriage driver “Falkreath” the two jumped in back, talking along the way, catching up, Scarlet looked up as the clouds started to darken and gather together, she knew they were getting close and it was about to rain, laughing softly as she pulled her hood over her head and partially covering her face “I hope you don’t mind rain my friend” she smiled as she felt the cold rain drop from the sky.

Sheydna picked herself up from her resting place and collected her things and threw her belongings onto her sturdy back and then began her depart onto Bruma where she had been told to proceed to be the infamous Night Mother in the dream. Others? What others? Who would she be joining? There were heaps of questions which needed answering and some of the answers she would not want to here but she knew this was a once in a life time chance, she has always liked to kill and maybe she would now have even more chance to.

She contined her long tedious journey and rarely stopped to take a rest, or feast upon a poor defenceless unprotected traveler if she decided she wanted some warm blood. She had soon reached Whiterun, a rather shanty, corrupt city in her opinion. It was of course not as bad as Riften but she often didn't take kindly to the Jarls of Whiterun and often though of them as pompous and arrogant.

Her legs were tired and they need rest inside a nice warm bed so she entered the city, almost instantly struck with the abrupt load city sounds all around her as she made her way through crowds of people and onto the Bannered Mare. She firmll forced open the old cracked wooden door and stumbled I to the old noisy tavern. She walked over to the counter where a young female bar tender walked over and looked at Sheydan and asked what she wanted.

The woman had instantly drawn Sheydnas attention, the woman was truly beautiful, her body perfectly curved. She wanted a bit more than just normal customer service from the lady. Sheydna asked the woman for one room the night, the woman nodded and took ten septims that Sheydna had placed onto the counter the woman then told Sheydna that her room was up the stairs and the first on the right, but Sheydna looks around the tavern trying to look dazed and confused even though the tavern had been her home not so long a go.

She shyly asked the young gorgeous bartender to accompany to her room. Once they entered the bed room The bartender gave a warm Smile before heading towards the door to exit, but Sheydna placed her rather large hand in the woman's shoulder and whisper almost silently into her ear "stay with me, and let's have some fun," and with that she shut the door, so the two were left alone, the possibilities endless.

The Redguard swordsman took in a deep breath as he walked through the city. Bruma was set into tiers, Each one stacking it's way up the mountain. Afuroc's father often spoke about the nearly mythical Cloud Ruler Temple, that lay just north of Bruma. A great stronghold of the Blades. Where Martin Septim once lived, where the Hero of Cyrrodiil once stayed, and where most of the Blades where pinned down and burned alive by the Thalmor. He clenched his fists as he walked, thinking about the Thalmor and the Aldmeri Dominion. His father seemed determined to imbue his son with an irrational hatred for those High Elves.

Afuroc shook those thoughts away, it really didn't matter what happened in the past. All that maters is that you are still alive, He thought. And if you are alive, you are winning. His strange philosophy didn't lend itself to idealistic sacrifices, which is probably why he had little qualms about taking Dark Brotherhood contracts on the side. Shook off the reflective thoughts as well as he could. He was probably just mentally and physically exhausted. And it was all thoughts he had mused over for a very long time.

Afuroc walked into the Bruma's Fighter's Guild, and took out his membership badge. The Head of this Guild inspected the badge, obviously more of a paper pusher than a skull crusher, and motioned for Afuroc to claim anyone open bed. He was tired from the rush of adrenaline that he used during the short duel. He sighed... He hadn't gotten a half decent fight or kill in a while. Then again, maybe he was fighting just because it is something he thinks he has to do. So many unworthy opponents unfound drove him, but there was always that nagging thought of putting up his sword.

"Maybe that is why I am so interested... In her offer," He whispered to himself, as he lay on his back. Staring at the plain boards that lined the roof. Eyes focusing intently on each crack as his eyes danced with the shadows from the candlelight. He didn't even realize he had fallen asleep. He didn't dream, not anymore. They say sleep is the cousin of death, and death takes you closer to Sithis.

    Mistress of Shadows
Shadow sighed as she pulled her cloak tighter around her. They were finally passing under the gates of Falkreath, just as the rain let up. Scarlet's comment to her about the rain had been a slight dig at her. Scarlet knew damned well that Shadow hated the rain. Even though she could sit out in a downpour for hours on end while she staked out a target, she would never, like it. She loved swimming, couldn't get enough of it, but the rain, there was something about it. The fat little droplets pelting down upon her skull set her teeth on edge.

Tonight, after her double assassination and murder of the hunters, the rain threatened to dissolve the euphoric mood she was in. Once they rented their room at the Inn, Shadow planned to do something about getting herself into a more pleasant of moods. The carriage stopped and Scarlet and Shadow alighted and walked into Dead Man's Drink. The warm air hit her when she entered and she shivered with delight. Scarlet chatted away beside her as they walked to the bar where the woman Shadow knew as Valga stood, cleaning tankards with a linen cloth.

"Hello again" she nodded to Shadow, having recognized her.

"We'd like a room please" Shadow placed some septims on the bartop.

"You're lucky" Valga said as she counted the coin "We have no other visitors tonight so you can have your pick of rooms." she looked up "This is only enough for one"

"We only want one" Shadow said simply in her smooth voice. She stood silent as Valga looked at the two women. The Inn keeper then shrugged and pointed to the right.

"Take that one then" she then got back to cleaning tankards, no longer interested in conversation, which was just the way Shadow liked it. The two girls entered the room and Shadow eyed the double bed as she let her things drop to the floor. She was dead tired but needed to fulfill a hunger first. She discarded her crossbow and satchel but kept her cloak on. She turned to Scarlet.

"Well I don't know about you but I am...ravenous. You'll be heading out for a run?" Scarlet shrugged as she discarded her own bags and sat on the bed. "All right. I myself will be seeking out a certain burly mill worker. Don't wait up" she winked and then swept out the door. Before she left the Inn she purchased a bottle of top shelf wine and uncorked the bottle with her teeth as she stalked through the dark streets of Falkreath. She knew Bolund would be out in the forests, searching for trees to fell. She felt a stirring in her that was equally as insatiable as Scarlet's bloodlust.

Shadow scoured the forest for half a hour before a cracking of wood lead her off to a clearing. She stood in the shadows and watched the man working. He was a fine figure of a man, all muscle and bare skin as he worked shirtless. Shadow smiled as he lifted his axe, slicing branches off a large tree he had felled earlier. No longer able to just watch she stepped out into the moonlit clearing. Bolund turned his head at her approach. He let the axe inbed itself into the log and turned, frowning.

"Haven't seen you in a while" he said by way of a greeting to her. He was always so surly. Not as pleasant as his brother, but Shadow liked that. He was for certain, the better lover of the two.

"I've been busy" she said vaguely as she stepped closer to him. The combined smells of the forest, fresh cut wood and man sweat was intoxicating to her.

"Shadow" he shook his head, giving her a rare smile; joining her as she sat on a particularly large tree stump. She handed him the wine bottle and he took a swig. "I'm busy here" he said then. Handing the bottle back to her. Shadow knew he was trying his best to brush her off, but she just leant in closer to him and took another long draft of the wine, letting it slide down her throat. She smiled widely at him.

"Too busy even for me?" she arched her eyebrow at him, standing, she undid her cloak and started to unbutton her leather, his eyes roaming over her curves as she peeled off her clothes. She slid onto his lap and felt his arousal already growing substantially as she pressed her body to him.

"Oh I think you can make time for me.... " she said as she playfully nipped at his ear.

    maybe...
Scarlet laid there on the bed, waiting for Shadow to return, getting restless, she got up and quickly scribbled a note to her friend to not stay up for her if she returns and she's not there and that she will return to finish the travel to Bruma. She left the inn and started traveling through the woods, a mixture of moaning and grunting started echoing off the trees reaching Scarlets elf like ears "What in the world?" she started to creep close to the ground narrowing in on the mixture of sounds she stopped just on the edge of the trees spotting what was making those noises, she softly turned around and headed further away, letting out a little giggle "oh Shadow you minx".

Lost in her thoughts she wasn't paying attention to where she was really going when she slipped and fell into a black bubbly murky puddle "Oh for the love of.." her anger started to rise up in her before a soft red glow coming from behind a wall of ivy caught her attention, she slowly got up and walked towards it, being pulled towards it, she brushed aside the ivy spotting a familiar door "The Falkreath sanctuary" her fingers brushed over the carved markings the door was warm to the touch but the weather was all but hot out, the door responded to Scarlets touch "Welcome Home Sister".

Scarlet took a seat next to the still running pool after she had explored the ruined sanctuary, running her fingers along the top of the cool water, she closed her eyes and began to weep, her entire life destroyed, everyone she called her sister, brother, partner all gone, taken down by the very blade that hired them for their services "Damn them" her voice was broken up in soft sobs, she threw some of the cool water in her face. When she was finished splashing water she looked down at the water and saw a second reflection, one of which was familiar to her, she spun around and stood face to face to her love.

Scarlet stood there in awe as she reached out to touch his face only to have her face go through, tears started to form in her eyes again as the figure reached out and touched her cheek "Do not cry my love" it was a strange feeling for her as his touch felt warm "Oh love ive missed you so much" she softly spoke as she moved closer to him as she was careful not to move in to close "I know my murdering angel" she started to smile "Thats the smile i love to see" she felt the weight of his hands on her shoulders "Ill be with you, always" as he leaned in and softly kissed her forehead then on her lips "I just wish I had gotten more one night with you" he smiled at her "I know my love i know" he lightly brushed her cheek as she reached to touch his hand he vanished, Scarlet dropped to her knees burying her face in her hands.

She left the sanctuary, wiping tears from her cheeks, the rain was starting to pick up "No wonder Falkreath is so green" she looked up and closed her eyes as the rain started to cool her face.

Shadow read the roughly scribbled note that Scarlet had left her. She had walked back into Falkreath covered in just her cloak, her leather catsuit bundled tightly under the cloak so as not to get it any wetter than it was. As she passed the mill she quickly washed in the small body of water that fueled the mills wheel, then returned to the Inn to find her friend had also ventured out into the night. Shadow understood Scarlet's restless need better than anyone else, for she felt it to. Without having the beast blood in her, which Scarlet had offered to her on more than one occasion, she felt that same desire to be always on the move, living life under the watchful eye of the silver moon. She was a night creature just like Scarlet. Beast blood or no.

She discarded her cloak, hanging her damp clothes over chairs and then took her brush out from her satchel and sat, crossed legged, bare skinned in front of the fire combing out her hair. Her hair was her one vice. She was not ashamed to admit that. The dark push-blade brand on her shoulder blade distorted as she brushed out the tangles in her hair. As she stared into the dancing flames she thought about the next chapter in her life. Travelling to Bruma and finding the New Sanctuary. Even though Shadow rarely got excited about anything, she was looking forward to seeing what her new family had to offer. Thoughts of family inevitably took her memories back to her real family. Shadow frowned with annoyance. She hated remembering her past. She had not thought about them for a long time. She had not even thought about her real name. Only two people knew her as Adelyne. Herself and a lover she had lost years ago. Shadow heard soft footfalls outside their door and placed a hand on one of her daggers she had sitting beside her as the door opened and Scarlet slipped in silently, her face filled with a mixture of sorrow and something else Shadow could not pick out.

"Still raining out, I see" Shadow said, taking her hand off her dagger and resuming her hair care routine. Not one for any sort of emotional talk, Shadow chose not to ask her friend what was wrong, knowing Scarlet would probably share it with her anyway. She turned back to the fire waiting for Scarlet to speak.
