How do you backstab a Dragon?
i stopped playing for like 8-9 months..maybe longer. i just started playing other games
There are other games? Really? What are these "other games" to which you refer? :)

i basically played every game that i own except skyrim. i needed a break though since at one point skyrim was the only game that i played for the longest time
I suppose all those ones gathering dust on my shelf: Dragon Age, Dragon's Dogma, Oblivion, Assassin's Creed... really should get played at some point.

My skyrim stopped for a whole year and a half up until recently. Sold my Xbox and such, and in return, saved for my PC.

Been a couple months I guess. I started a new build not too long ago but that didn't last long as I find myself going for Fallout 3 more often. Not because Fallout is so much better than Skyrim, but I much prefer Fallout recently since it is much easier to just pick up and play. Whenever I play Skyrim I'm always tempted to grind. There is no grinding in Fallout, the best way to level up is wander around killing things, hacking computers and picking locks.

What is it with the Fallout thing? I just can't do it. To me it's messy and far too depressing. There's no magic in it for me. Besides, I don't like shooting things. It's just not sporting. I really need to return my copy ot Gamestop.

Ya. I read the multiple posts in which you've said how much you hate it. I get it. Sorry for recommending it. A lot of people really enjoy the twist on Americana in that game and find a lot of humor in it as well.

Actually I don't hate it. It's actually a wonderfully put together game and full of action and I can see why people love it. I just like to complain about it 'cause I can't complain about any other game. Not my cup of tea but I do have to agree that the matrix is even more robust than Skyrim. Now let's see if they can make a Fallout/Skyrim crossover. Can you imagine? :)

It's been a few weeks since I played Skyrim last, I'm a huge Star wars fan so I've been playing The Old Republic, I've also been playing DayZ standalone and a few other games.

I still play a session of Skyrim once in a while and I even posted recently about a crazy string of encounters I had in Dawnstar. There's no question that Skyrim is superior in many, many ways. Skyrim just feels more robust. For me Fallout 3 is something I can just sit down and get right in to. It's so much easier to just wander and wander forever and never have a 'home'. All the best weaponry is held by some badass somewhere with goons usually, so crafting is basically out of the picture except for explosives and a couple gadget guns that come in handy. I always start out playing Skyrim with the intention of just wandering around and doing whatever, but in Fallout 3 it's much easier to do just that without getting sidetracked.

I haven't done much playing since, I'm going to say, Bioshock Infinite dropped. Because after that came Battlefield 4, then ESO, and now Watchdogs, and I've been doing all of that in that very order and haven't been back to Skyrim for a bit.

Actually it wasn't "because" of these games. It was because of a highly annoying situation with AA, encountered once I had moved from my GTX460 to my GTX680 and started really doing mod order and cleaning religiously with BOSS and TESEdit. This thing where Dr. D'Irsei's face literally refuses to render correctly once a single step in any direction takes place if there is a transition from inside to outside. I've had enormous problems trying to find a solution for that and although it's been reported elsewhere the symptoms as discussed are always dissimilar in some small way and the solutions never seem to take.

I hate those little Skyrim snafus that are reserved and created custom, just for me and I've got somewhere right around zero interest in wading back through 140+ mods and recreating the stack from scratch to figure it out.

I've had a few 6-8 week breaks over time. I usually get slowly rehooked because I start messing around with screencaps in Photoshop and Illustrator and before I know it, I'm playing again.

About 6-8 months, been working on my headshots in Gears :cowboy:

Ugh, GoW 3 was fun for me, only because of Horde mode :D I only ever played the Horde modes in GoW games, never got around to the campaigns

And for all you who said Fallout is yucky...... BEGONE! :p I <3 Fallout & Elder Scrolls equally! :3

Everyone takes vacations from their games sometimes... I'm wondering how long your vacation from Skyrim was, and why you stopped playing. :D Mine has been a few months. Fallout New Vegas stole my attention :)

I just started playing New Vegas a couple of days ago. I have to pace myself otherwise I can see that it will turn out like how I was with Skyrim. 18 hours a day for weeks on end, threatening to starve :p

My longest time away from Skyrim was about 6months because I moved house and left my ps3 behind. That meant leaving my fav character behind and I thought it would be good break. Nowadays I only play Skyrim for a few days in a row before I play another game.

Bring me my broadsword, and clear understanding.
I took a 6 month break, the first week or two was to play Witcher 2 which, while I'm sure is an excellent game, I can't play because it's 3rd person and I have never been able to play well in 3rd person. Then I concentrated on writing a few ideas for a website about watercolour painting and doing loads of sketches, and then the PS4 came out and Gran Turismo 4 for the PS3. But the PS3 and 4 are now dust magnets and I'm back on my PC playing Skyrim.

I was in the same boat until Skyrim stopped working for my PS3, it wasn't even Skyrim that was the problem, couldn't even load it because there was just too little of space left on my hard drive. So after having to remove to no avail, chose to backup everything... oops, system shut down during backing it up and what happens? Whole thing was corrupted. So I couldn't play anything for an entire week of trying to reset everything until finally decided to reset the PS3 setting itself which removes everything and anything installed/downloaded. So I had to start from scratch with characters. I have 3 now on Skyrim, 3 on Fallout New Vegas. So it was months since I played Skyrim until recently while only playing New Vegas during that time and before the whole backup issue. :p

I'm helping. Mostly.
I stopped playing because I was pissed at the Skyrim Redone mod being bugged on conjured weapons (which I adore) on its final release. I planned to play it again when the author releases a more stable overhaul which he announced a long while ago and currently is on beta stage. I eventually decided to play again one month ago until my computer fried two weeks after. ,_,

Yuck on Fallout. Took the advice of fellow forumers and gave it a try, but just can't stand it. I guess I need swords and sorcery, magicka and drauger.

I also found Fallout lacking. It seemed primitive. I couldn't stand the lack of graphic clarity.
