I can't believe my Blackthorne is already at level 83 and I feel like I haven't accomplished anything except leveling up and collecting 1/2 a million in gold.

The only questline I've completed is Dawnguard, and, even there I haven't done 2/3 of the radiant and side quests. I even became a vampire but cured myself.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Oh, I did meet the ebony warrior but really am not all that interested in battling him with so many other things yet to be done. Does he remind you or will he sit there and wait for me (bored to tears no doubt since I'm taking so long)?

Yes and no. Okay by that I mean Dr. D'Irsei had finished the main quest not long after level 20, has finished Dawnguard, been to Vampirism and back, finished hundreds of side quests, is currently a werewolf, accumulated tons of gold and items, and has had the hardest time getting past level 45. In the process she has had to purchase 4 different houses and then construct her own just to hold the before and after portraits of all her satisfied dental patients.

She hasn't gotten involved in the civil war, finished the Companions or Thieves Guild quests, finished Dragonborn, or even started the Dark Brotherhood quest. She put out the lighthouse light for some tiger face jerk, but then wondered why and took off. He's probably still waiting for word. One day he too will get half price dental like the others but even then, he cannot have "word".

XP have become very hard to accumulate at high speed now. Seems to take forever to progress one level, no matter how many procedures are performed. Tamriel dentistry is such thankless work.

Up to you. If you like tails then Khajit if you've done Argo, if you like non-human, how about a mer (Altmer - magic, Bosmer - archer/thief, Dunmer - scary red-eyed guys that are good at everything, Orsimer - huge, hulking scary pig faced guys that'll beat the bejesus out of just about anybody) or human (Breton, Nord, Imperial).

It's really what you want to play this time. :)
