Who has some good romance stories for their characters? My orc Mage Killer fell in love with Uthgerd the Unbroken after meeting her in the Bannered Mare in White Run. After exchanging some words and betting on a brawl between them, she stole his heart. They grew closer during several intense quests and a long time spent on the road with each other. He proposed after she found him at the abandoned shack after he had killed Astrid. They journeyed to Riften straight after to do the deed. She isn't the most attractive woman but he's an orc so she looks better than females from his race. After a raucous consumation she has continued to accompany him on the road as a wife and damn good sword maiden.

I took a lot of notes during a recent playthrough and have one between Gregor and an Altmer character. An assumption I made: housecarls don't pop into existence fully formed the second you are made a thane, they must have existed beforehand.

My Altmer decided for various reasons she didn't want to work for the Thalmor anymore, so one day she just left the embassy and kept walking. She picked up Meeko and walked through Dawnstar, running into Gregor who was feeling very sad on account of his milkmaid girlfriend and a bunch of other Dawnstar maidens had vanished without a trace over the last year. She told him her name was Shasha. They spent a day hanging out together while Gregor gave her a few pointers on how to not die in Skyrim before she reluctantly moved on, as she knew damn well the Thalmor would be trying to find her.

So she went to Riften for a face change, faked her death, started calling herself Ebony, and moved to Windhelm for a while, eventually meeting Gregor again as he had come to investigate the Windhelm serial killer to see if he was responsible for the Dawnstar disappearances. He wasn't, so he went back to Dawnstar. Ebony decided to follow him.

The romance didn't go very smoothly as Gregor recognised Meeko and thought Ebony might have killed Shasha, and Gregor got rather upset when Ebony beat seven different kinds of ectoplasm out of the enslaved ghost of his milkmaid girlfriend while discovering Anoril was responsible for the all the missing Dawnstar maidens.

But eventually they got those misunderstandings smoothed out, nagged Skald into giving them some land and ran off build Heljarchen Hall and live happily ever after.

My most memorable love story happen between my crazy Breton werewolf, Dandre, and Marcurio. They met in Riften after Dandre began to go crazy because of his lycanthropy. Dandre got attached to Marc as soon as he met him, he began showering him with gifts and unconditional love. But Dandre kept a secret from him, the fact that he was a werewolf working for the Dark Brotherhood. During work Dandre would take detours to Riften and take Marc on adventures in Dwarven ruins and help people. Dandre had no compassion for people anymore, he only saw them as food, but Marc he saw differently, he did whatever he could to please him. A few months passed and Dandre finally confessed on their wedding day. Marc broke up with Dandre, which sent the heartbroken Breton into an insane frenzy. He went on a rampage through Riften, but never once laid a claw on Marc. He eventually turned himself in and went to jail where he met Inigo. Dandre reluctantly accepted Inigo, he liked the fact that the Khajiit didn't judge him. They got out of jail, went to Iverstead and Dandre rented a room and spent the next few days in a deep depression, he tried to drink himself to death, but that didn't work. Inigo eventually got Dandre back on his feet and they went out hunting bandits together. Dandre did what he could not do with Marc, he turned into a werewolf, killed and ate his enemies, the freedom felt so good. They went back to the Dawnstar sanctuary and did a few jobs for the DB. Dandre mostly went alone. After one particular job which required him to go to Riften, he came back to the sanctuary and murdered everyone except Inigo. They went up to High Hrothgar where Dandre attempted to atone for his sins by following the Way of the Voice. He got closer to his true self during the time he spent in meditation with Paarthurnax and looking for lost words around Skyrim and even worshipping Kyne. After a few weeks Dandre sent Inigo to get Marc and tell him what has happen. Marc came to Iverstead a few days later and decided to give Dandre another chance. Dandre kept distance from Marc for a little while because he knew he just can't jump into his arms and everything will be ok. He sometimes took him on trips to go find words as all three of them lived at High Hrothgar for a time. Dandre and Marc eventually got back together and got married. Dandre and Marc's married life was practically a whole different life. No need to hide anything anymore. Dandre sometimes still went out alone to do some sketchy things, like finding the lost tomb of a DB assassin and helping find Mehrunze Razor and trying to steal from the temple of Dibella. But he always did the right thing in the end, without Marc physically being there.

Naginata

Huntress of the Shadows
Naginata was roaming alone for many years and didn't enjoy the company of men that much. She felt they were coarse and harsh and not satisfying to be around. One day, she went to Shor's Stone and saw the most beautiful woman she'd ever seen, with a soft, sweet voice and a delicate but confident nature. Naginata instantly fell in love, and delivered her satchel of letters for her, and when she came back, she proposed to the woman. And then, after their marriage, they settled down with two adopted children in the house Naginata built for her family, and they lived happily :)

Until they all went missing one day... and haven't been seen since

GroBenjii the Orsimer grew up in the Mor Khazgur Stronghold. He was never in line to be chief but many of the young (and even older) Orc ladies wanted him due to his strength, leadership qualities and his attitude towards the women.

Borgakh the Steel Heart was never one of these woman and due to her indifference toward Benjii, it always made him want her; the untouchable, vicious, sexy Orc. For many years Benjii wooed and bedded many Chiefs daughters (usually in secret) and for many years there was a distinct sexual chemistry between Benjii and Borgakh, but she made sure that nothing ever eventuated.

As a very young man, GroBenjii left Skyrim and travelled south to visit other Strongholds in High Rock and Cyrodill. Many years later he came home to Mor Khazgur and came across his childhood crush that had grown into a very independent woman. With her age, bought her clarity. She did not want to follow tradition and become a Chiefs wife, she wanted danger and adventure and love. It did not take long for Benjii to sense this so he whisked her away on an adventure, paying her dowry and telling the Chief of Mor Khazgur he would bring her back soon enough.

2 months later, and many adventures later, the pair made there way back home. Borgakh had had her adventure and as much as she didnt want it, it was time for her to be married away to a Chief that had been arranged for quite some time.

They arrived in Mor Khazgur, before they spoke to the Chief, Benjii took her up to the highest look-out tower and proposed. It was a stunning sunset over The Reach that evening but Benjii only had eyes for the beauty standing before him that gladly accepted the marriage proposal.

My Nord once found Uthgerd quite attractive. Must have been able to handle a strong Nord woman, as he made a point to wear his amulet of Mara around her. She agreed so eagerly that it surprised him, but to Rifen they went, and they emerged Nord and Wife. He'd already built Heljarchen Hall, and it was quite a lovely home, so he invited her there, along with the two girls he'd adopted. Things went well for a while. He quested for wealth and means, and she took care of him when he was home, providing comfort and meals at his request.

Alas, the honeymoon was not long for them, and before long his inquiries into the childrens' and her welfare were met with short, bitter replies. To make her happy, and to see to the safety of their new family, he moved her to Whiterun. Though it was a smaller home, it was safe within the city walls and relatively well guarded, but the acid in her words grew only stronger. He tried Windhelm and Riften, and finally purchased a large and stately home all the way in Solitude, all in the hope of damping his wife's anger. Worse, his daughters seemed only to see gifts and presents in him, and no longer the beloved father figure they once saw.

One day, after a particularly long and exhausting quest, he traveled to Solitude to see his wife and daughters. As expected, the bitter-sweet ring of "Did you bring me anything?" reached his ears before his family met his eyes. Disappointed, and steeling himself for yet another confrontation, he addressed his wife. To his immense surprise, Uthgerd had no complaint. The home, expensive though it was, met her approval, and she seemed satisfied with the security in the town. She was unusually happy, and this filled him with elation.

That morning, he rode out of Solitude. He continued to quest, amassing ever more wealth. For the rest of his days, he enjoyed the fruits of his labor at peace, occasionally alone and sometimes in the company of his follower, Lydia, or sometimes Jenassa, or Anneke, or...

One day, an Argonian by the name of Scared-Scale took a trip to Riften to find work.
He met a strong Nord woman named Mjoll, Mjoll had lost her sword, so he offered to retrieve it.
So, he went into a dangerous dwarven ruin, in search of a sword lost long ago. He entered the door, got to the first Dwarven Sphere, and killed it. He then realized he forgot to stock on potions, and had to fast travel walk back to Riften to retrieve some.
Now, he was ready. He entered the ruins, gripping an axe in both hands, he charged in. It wasn't easy, facing many mechanical nuisances to reach it, but he found the sword. He had to do battle with a centurion, but luckily he had a scroll of firestorm and some leftover potions. After defeating the centurion,he picked up the sword and left, to return to Riften.
As he returned to Riften, he approached Mjoll, and returned her sword. He then enlisted her as a follower, and took the sword from her, leaving her in Riften.
He knew the moment he saw it that sword was special. All the heads he has chopped off with it, the dragons he's skewered with it, they were a pair to be feared. Until he lost it fighting a Draugr Deathlord or whatever that decided to use the fluffing disarm shout and knock Grimsever away!

It was never found...

Rest in peace, Grimsever..

That happened to my Axe of Whiterun. I had a character who was so proud of receiving that axe she became an axe specialist, so we were both pretty annoyed when that happened.

When my Orc sorcerer first began his studies at Winterhold, he took a special liking to a handsome young Nord named Onmund. They felt a special connection because they were both criticized for leaving their homeland to pursue a career in magic instead of becoming hunters or warriors, like most other people they grew up with. He helped Onmund get his amulet back and they became traveling companions. When he eventually became arch mage of Winterhold, he invited Onmund up to his chambers and shagged him right up the arse.

"Zu'u Alduin. Zok sahrot do naan ko Lein!"
A lot of events in Yngvar Heart-Fang's life mirror those of his fellow Dragonborn Tiber Septim, including falling in love with a Dunmer woman. Yngvar met Brelyna Maryon at the College of Winterhold, and while they were friendly with each other from the start, it wasn't until Yngvar offered to be her test subject that the two became friends. While the experience was a small blow to his pride, he couldn't help but feel smitten with the clumsy mage when all was said and done. The two would from that point on spend countless hours together in the Arcaneum talking and getting to know each other, slowly falling in love. The two worked wonders for each other: Yngvar would often try and coax the introverted Brelyna to socialize and spend time with him and their fellow apprentices at the local inn, as well as continue to aid her in her magical experiments. On the other hand, Brelyna would often provide counsel on moral decisions Yngvar would face in his travels, and reassure him of his strength whenever the pressures of being Dragonborn became too much for him to bear. In fact it was Brelyna's continuous support that gave Yngvar the strength to reclaim the Staff of Magnus and defeat Ancano. After life at the college returned to normal, Yngvar and Brelyna would finally confess their love for one another, and that very same night they would consummate their relationship on the shores of the sea. Soon Brelyna was faced with a moral decision of her own: a darkness had spread over Solstheim, and Yngvar would soon be headed there to stop it. She could either let him stand alone and continue with her education, or follow him to the island and keep him safe. She would soon choose the latter, as she could always return to the college one day to finish what she started. If Yngvar was killed, there would be no second chances. The events that would occur on Solstheim, including Yngvar's near death experience would only serve to strengthen the bonds between the two, and upon the couple's return to Skyrim, Yngvar proposed to her. Knowing of her Dunmeri faith and wanting to get her something truly special as a wedding present, Yngvar would travel to the shrine of Azura and aquire Azura's Star for his bride to be. The wedding went off without a hitch, the two moved to Whiterun, and with most of Skyrim's more prominent foes vanquished, Yngvar and Brelyna could rest easy knowing that they could enjoy their lives together.
